BL minicap

Hola, ‘Gasmii!  Your regular recapper, Bluzgirl, needed a break this week. I’m sure it’s to gather steam for the 13-hour finale that’s coming next week.  Right?  Thirteen hours seems to be the amount of time needed to talk about people’s weight loss journeys and step on scales, right?

This week, we spent a measly two hours on a physical challenge, some talking, and a weigh in.  The losers had to walk a full golf course carrying weighted flags that represent the weight they’ve lost each week.  At first, those chumps were walking around with over 100 lbs on their backs!  The winner receives a spendy home gym system thing.   I hope I’m not spoiling you for the full recap now when I tell you that, shhh, someone WON.

Then they weighed in and talked about it and cried.  Someone lost more weight, percentage-wise, than the other people.  Everyone was happy.  (I haven’t watched this show regularly in YEARS, but I’m glad to notice that this year, the final contestants all seem to genuinely like each other, support each other, cheer for each other.  It helps that two of the four are sisters.)

Then they all go home, where their families clap and cry.  Each contestant receives a video from the BL Ranch, reminding them of where they’ve come from, to keep going to the end, and win this bitch!

There are four contestants now–but only three get to officially compete in the finale.  America gets to vote for who gets that third slot.  (10 votes per email address, which seems like a LOT.)  We’ll know next week, at the 57-hour finale, who got the final slot.

And later this week, I’ll have written more about the show, so come back! Please! Yay!

About

Time for an update! I used to be a tall, athletic editor who lived on the East coast. Oh, I still am, only now I've gained back all the weight I lost, which changes my life-tone quite a bit. Now that I'm married, I have a lot less time to watch Bravo and Food network. We usually end up watching Big Bang Theory reruns ("all of my friends, all of my friends, all of my friends") or Wipeout. Or WWE Raw. Wow. How life has changed!  Join me as we chat about my breast friend Patti Stanger and her love minions. Or maybe we'll talk about art during Work of Art. Whatever we're watching, don't be shy--tell me what you think!
