This week on Biggest Loser, New Zealand edition, we get the Return of the Brett and the contestants are no longer in teams. Alison greets the players on a random NZ bluff and blah, blah, blah…Sir Edmund Hilary…blah, blah, climb every mountain…and before you know it, Brett comes flying down to the earth via parachute. Yep, he’s back. Man, BL is really sparing no expense this season. And I don’t mean the parachute stunt. You know what a plane ticket to NZ costs these days?? Yeah, me neither. Each trainer will take two players to experience different adventures. Kaylee and Hannah are stuck hanging out with Cara and she takes them to a big cliff jump. She’s more of a chicken s**t than the girls (shocking, I know!) and after more of her resume (via flashbacks), she jumps off screaming bloody murder. Kaylee and Hannah laugh their butts off at her and do the jump with little drama. Um, Cara? You’re the one who took them there…
Bob focuses a lot of this week’s workout on Kaylee, who really shouldn’t be gaining weight. Kaylee fesses up that she was eating to be closer to her Dad. She feels bad saying it, but now that Moses is gone, maybe she’ll do better. Olivia and Rulon are working out together and Olivia is just shocked and amazed she can keep up with an Olympic athlete. Did you know Rulon was an Olympic athlete? May I remind you—it wasn’t the balance beam. Hannah confides in Cara that she is not ready to go home yet. Alison greets the teams from the top of a bridge, wearing a lovely Queen of NZ tiara headband-y thing, because it wouldn’t be a challenge if Alison didn’t look slightly ridiculous. The players have to go riverboarding and the winner gets a helicopter tour and immunity! Alison, finally faced with her own horrible fashion choices, leaps off the bridge. Luckily, her leg was tied to it.
Olivia wins the riverboarding race, with Kaylee in second and Rulon in third. So, Olivia has immunity for this week. Brett is with Jay and Austin on their NZ adventure and it is cliff climbing. Oh, the symbolism! Bob is with Irene (I know! She’s still on this show!) and Rulon and he takes them…yawn…bungee jumping…Wow—is there anything to do in NZ that doesn’t involve ridiculous heights? I guess I’ll save my plane ticket money. Rulon’s not real hip on the bungee thing, since he’s had a lot of close calls with death in his life.
At the last chance workout, Brett introduces capoeira, which is an Afro-Brazilian martial art/dancing thing. Isn’t that fascinating? Hey, I still think he’s better than Cara. Let’s get to the weigh in! Olivia has immunity, but she knocks out 4lbs. Jay loses 5lbs; Irene loses 4lbs; Rulon finally pulls a big number with 10 and Austin loses 5lbs. Ken loses 4lbs, which bums him out. Hannah loses 3lbs, when she needed to lose more than 4lbs to be safe. Kaylee, who is down to about 80lbs, lost another 5lbs. Suck it, food-loving, Moses! So the elimination comes down to either Hannah or Ken. After getting a vote (to stay) from Kaylee and his son, Austin, the rest go to Hannah, so Ken get sent home…no more bungee jumping for you!!! Well, unless you pay for it yourself, that is…
More details to come…

Sheesh once I saw who was at the bottom I knew who was going home. There is simply no element of surprise. I found myself reading while glancing up every now and again. Challenge and Weigh-in are the only interesting parts of the show:(
And yet I still watch each and every Tuesday
Moli, what I do is record it. I watch Glee live and can then bang out The Biggest Loser in an hour, hour-fifteen tops. It’s much easier that way!
I am sick of Olivia. She is an obnoxious drama queen. Her tearful tirade about needing to stay so she can get pregnant was just stupid. Hannah is no better. Moses and Ken should still be on the show. If Olivia isn’t voted off soon I’m done.
