Hey Gasmii,
As soon as I read about this show I immediately lobbied to recap it because it sounds AMAZING. I just hope it lives up to its trashtastic promise. (So far the jury is still out.)
Christie and Joey Lynn are twentysomethings from Bay Ridge, Brooklyn who have been best friends since grade school. But their friendship was torn asunder amid rumors that Joey Lynn slept with Christie’s boyfriend, Roberto. Joey Lynn denies everything. That’s the entire premise of the show. I’m not even kidding.
No one ever says how long ago this alleged assignation took place, but Christie already has a new boyfriend Matthew (who is kind of cute, I hate to say). That doesn’t stop her from still being completely obsessed with Joey Lynn’s “betrayal” and whatever happened that fateful night.
The first episode introduces us to Christie and Joey Lynn and their respective “crews.” With the exception of two blonde girls and a black girl, everyone looks and sounds exactly alike. There is drinking, cursing, trash talking and way too many trucker caps to keep track of. I don’t understand how they’re going to drag this out for six episodes, but what the hey. I have nothing better to do on Monday nights at 11, so I’m in.
I will have a complete recap up in a day or two, but if you missed the ep, you can watch here.
Thanks for reading and have a great day!
xoxo,

Snoop– cant let you be comment-less on this. Sounds like I will learn nothing of myself or others (read as : delightfully trashy and with out any intellectual merit at all—count me in !!!!!!)
Why do we care about these folks? Why does Oxygen want us to care?
Wait till the full recap… it’s even worse than you think!
Come on, I loled at “She was hit in the face with a bag of whatdafuck “, I’m totally going to steal that!!
My cap code is SHZ7– the shizzzzz—bbaahhaahhaahhaa
Thats a sign from the Gasmi-gods to comment. I have this programmed to watch tomorrow (and wil totally watch a few more times)
So I actually watched this while home sick from work, and it was TERRIBLE. I’m from New York…(upstate but I still have an accent) and even I couldn’t tell what these people were saying. And if Christie is supposed to be the good one that sucks because she is awful and has no personality. It’s pretty obvious from the first 5 minutes that Joey Lynn didn’t do it but Christie cut her out of her life because she was jealous of…something. I’m rooting for Joey Lynn and her crew all the way, not that I can really tell them apart. Can’t wait for the full recap!
