I will chew you up and spit you out
Good morning, Gasmii. I feel like there was a lot going on last night, yet not much happened.
Jabby is happy to have beat the Candy Apple’s in Ohio, and she believes that will put her in a good mood all week. Well, I’m sure someone (Christi Kelly Christi and Kelly) will find a way to ruin that for her.
As expected, Paige is on the bottom of the pyramid, but Jabby did not put her back on probation because she beat Kendall and finished in the top ten. Also because probation is a made up thing that doesn’t really mean anything. Brooke is still on the bottom row, but at least she is also off probation. She is thrilled, of course.
Chloe is on top of the pyramid, blowing away Christi’s theory that Maddie would be on top 40 times. Jabby only has nice things to say about Chloe, so she really is in a good mood. I don’t know about you, but that makes me really nervous. Maybe Jabby is getting some???
This week, they will be going to Starbound in Hotlanta. They have not been to a Starbound comp since NJ, when the Apple’s beat them by one point, so Jabby once again has something to prove. That NJ competition is like herpes: it never quite goes away.
Chloe and Maddie will be doing solos and Brooke, Paige and Mackenzie will be doing a trio. The group number will include everyone except Mack. Since everyone seems to be getting along, let’s throw a wrench into the proceedings. Jabby is bringing Payton back to be in the group number. Christi and Kelly are super happy about this. Or not. You decide. Christi and Kelly bitch about Payton having a featured part in the group dance and are even angrier when Leslie asks if Payton can have a solo as well. Jabby agrees out of spite, since Chloe goes on a “last-minute” school camping trip in the middle of the week.
Adding to the excitement, Kelly is having a birthday party and she invites Leslie even though she hates her. That goes about as well as you would expect.
Finally, the girls audition for a role on Drop Dead Diva. Little do they know, the Candy Apple’s are also auditioning!!!1! Why do the Candy Apple’s continue to try and compete with ALDC in these things? It never ends well for them. Oh – in other Candy Apple’s news, Shrill and Kendall have “left” the studio because of Cathy’s allegedly shabby treatment. I WONDER IF WE WILL EVER SEE THEM AGAIN!????
Whew – that’s a lot of fake drama for one episode. I will have all the gory, Jabby details up in a couple of days. Until then, please continue to entertain us with your awesome comments. Thanks for reading, and have a great day!
xoxo,
SnoopK8

Jabby was way too pleasant this episode. She HUGGED Chloe!
Brooke actually had a solo in this episode—It was the “Paint the Pictures” one that Kelly pulled a few weeks ago. Too bad they didn’t show it, but it really annoyed me that they made it look like Payton came in 2nd because in reality, she came in 7th. Brooke’s solo came in 2nd. Here are the results:
http://www.starbound.net/StarboundAdmin/UploadImages/ContentMgmImages/Atlanta%20winners%202012%202.pdf
Also, Abby said at pyramid that they “beat Cathy in every category”, which is NOT TRUE. Justice actually beat Chloe in the junior solo. The full dances are on YouTube (including Brooke’s solo), if anyone wants me to post them, I will.
I also thought it was kind of funny how Abby said the moms “chased Jill away” because Jill “left” because Abby put Kendall back on probation. Stick to the script, Abby! It’s hard to enjoy this show when you know how much of it is fake. If I were Brooke, I would be so mad that Lifetime made it look like Payton got my award.
One more thing—I know who gets the part in Drop Dead Diva. If anyone wants to know, I’ll post it with a spoiler alert because I don’t want to ruin it for anyone. I also know the results for next week, which I can post, along with the full dances (they’re on YouTube). If anyone wants to see them, I’ll post the link!
Gwen if you do post the spoiler can you provide it as a link? I don’t want to accidentally read it.
I wasn’t finish my post dang computer. Gwen if you do post the spoiler can you provide it as a link please? I don’t want to accidentally read it. So much of the show has been taken away by all the ‘inside’ information. I liked believing most of the show was real. I knew some of the fights and what not were contrived…but damn guys you took the WHOLE show from me
.
Moli,
Don’t go to Lifetime then.
About Drop Dead Diva or the competition results? Because the results and dances yes, would be links but Drop Dead Diva would not be. I just won’t post the thing about DDD though, if you don’t want to read it.
i would like to know about drop dead diva!
@Nannie, the only other site I’ve been to is youtube for this show. @gwen I was referring to DDD, thank you so much.
Lifetime seriously needs to put some better work into this show. In the preview they say “For the first time, Brooke faces some tough competition from one of her own teammates,” implying that she will go head to head with Peyton. Yet any hint of Brooke’s solo is completely absent from the show. But then they go ahead and put it on their website (http://www.mylifetime.com/shows/dance-moms/video/season-2/episode-19/paint-the-pictures). Who is in charge of this stuff? Couldn’t we have had 3 less minutes of Christi bitching to fit Brooke’s solo into the show?
@Cherry, if you have an idea of where I could tell you that people who don’t want to know won’t see it, I’ll tell you. Unless you have a TiVo, because it said “(this person) finds out she got the part on Drop Dead Diva” in the description (that’s how I found out).
Okay, I have an idea. I’ll post the person who got the role on DDD in the comments here (I’m just choosing a random one here):

DO NOT READ IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW
The way this show was put together this week was terrible… and I mean, more so than usual. Lifetime is slipping BIGtime because you can even catch their slip-ups posted on their website.
@Gwen I had seen the results before I watched the show so I was shocked when they edited it to make it look like Payton got 2nd! I rewound it a few times to make sure the emcee had said 7th when they announced her. I can’t understand why they didn’t show Brooke’s solo and why they gave credit to Payton. It didn’t make sense. The extra clip on Lifetime’s website is great and Abby even hugs Brooke after she gets off stage.
And there is another edit during the show which is revealed on the website. When Abby is supposedly yelling at Chloe about not “signing up for any nighttime activities anymore” after she proves to Abby she remembers her dance, there is an extra clip that CLEARLY shows that Abby was talking to Holly and Nia, NOT Chloe.
http://www.mylifetime.com/shows/dance-moms/video/season-2/episode-19/school-comes-first
Check it out. The whole side of Abby’s lecture to Chloe about the camping trip was edited from a conversation with Holly and Nia. I think the trio was rehearsing and Chloe was not even in the room. Nia had some kind of recital or something and had to leave practice early. Also, it REALLY shows how much Holly is avoiding the confrontations with Abby because Holly is amazing in this clip. No matter what Abby says, Holly is a class act. But it makes me wonder what Abby really said to Chloe.
One more funny thing is another clip on the website of the party when Leslie leaves. On the show, when she threw the glass or whatever it was, you could hear a loud shattering sound. But in the clip on the website, whatever she threw made a thunking sound instead.
Anyone else notice that Leslie was not bad this week? She was encouraging about Chloe picking up her dance quickly when Christi was all worried about Chloe not being there… I am not a Leslie fan, but I think it’s because she is loud and pushy. A lot of the things she says are right on point about the other moms. Christi and Kelly were like junkyard dogs this week.
And Abby was shown to be much more affectionate and complimentary of the girls.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cVPb3qEdcfg
Brooke’s paint the pictures solo, she has some amazing new tricks and deserved 2nd (she got 2nd overall, payton got 7th)
Awesome@Gwen…everyone’s happy
thanks Gwen! LOL I love when the cable networks put spoilers in the info!
Thanks Gwen, awesome way to post it.
On the whole Payton thing, could it be possible that she got 2nd in the jazz category and 7th overall? I don’t know how these things work, but I thought that there were awards for both?
https://twitter.com/CollinsAveEnt/status/225651926749024258
According to the Collins Avenue (producers of Dance Moms) twitter they made a mistake when they said Peyton got second because they misheard. I don’t know if that is true or just an excuse, but listening to it again it does sound like he says seventh place so either that was bad editing or they really did just screw up this time. I do wonder what their excuse is for all the other times this happened, though.
Lifetime spoiled the Drop Dead Diva thing already. It’s written in the episode description on the website and was in the press release.
BUT I also read somewhere that Maddie was not in the DDD episode, nor were any of the girls; Abby was the one in it making a cameo appearance as herself.
I wasn’t watching, but I was listening and I thought I heard them say that Payton was 7th. I couldn’t figure out what all the hubbub was about.
Guess I just need to clean the taters from my ears.
Hmmm – gotta love cross promotion. Thanks, Lifetime! Next we are going to see Bristol Palin at one of the competitions.
Both Brooke and Payton were won best overall in their categories- but, as we all know now, Brooke took 2nd place and Payton took 7th. I think they filmed this not sure if they were going to include Brooke in the dance, so maybe there was confused since it was Brooke who actually scored 2nd. I heard the boy that scored 1st place was absolutely phenominal!
Just wish so much that the show would be real and stop all the fake stuff. There is plenty of drama and good material to keep the audiences coming back without having to make crap up (like Kendall leaving, Maddie doing 2 dances in 2 hours, etc..) I think it just makes them (lifetime) look bad and less professional. If you are going to do a reality shows, especially with young children involved, then they really need to try to keep it honest and not pull all of this crap. I don’t think the kids are “in on it” and their emotions are real.
“Lifetime spoiled the Drop Dead Diva thing already. It’s written in the episode description on the website and was in the press release. ”
Yep, that is where I found it. No big secret. Abby is being called into court as a consultant to the law team because some mom is complaining about her daughter’s dance teacher.
“In the episode, Miller is called as an expert witness to testify in a court case involving Bobbi Dobkins (Sharon Lawrence), who’s being sued for negligence by the parent of one of her dance students. After seeing video of Bobbi’s instruction techniques, Abby testifies that Bobbi’s teaching may have led to the girl’s injury. ”
Get this, Abby is appearing as herself, supposed to air in August, there is supposed to be a tape of the dancer, which may or not be shown with Maddie. We’ll have to see about that next month!
Chloe had an optional overnight field trip and Nia had a special evening event that is part of her private school education program. Nia’s was not optional. Abby normally allows them to attend these events, it was just all bs for drama. According to Diane, this is not a big deal.
Sheesh well thank you Gwen for the effort. I read none of that previously.
@Nannie, you do know that that’s a spoiler. No matter how easy it is to find the information.
Some people go so far as to stay away from this site until they’ve seen the show to avoid situations like this.
Sorry Gwen that you put all that effort forth to keep the spoiler from the rest of us.
So I’m doing my daily dance moms stalking (instead of being productive at work) and apparently there was a fight between Cathy and Christi last night. Cathy’s people are saying that Christi choked Cathy and she has a swollen lip (idk how you get that from being choked). Christi posted that there are 2 sides to every story and she has a camera crew to back hers up. Then if you go on Cathy’s twitter she thanks someone for being her guardian angel against Christi. IDK what is going on but I really want to see this (I think it’s the season finale.) I really hope it didn’t get violent and especially not in front of the kids because that’s just taking this “reality” thing too far. And if it didn’t get violent I hope they’re not lying for no reason because that’s just terrible.
https://twitter.com/ErikaSchrade on of cathy’s dancers (she’s saying the police came but christi left first)
https://twitter.com/Dancemomchristi Christi’s twitter
https://twitter.com/Poodletoes1 Cathy’s twitter
back to work now I guess =/
https://twitter.com/KerisaMcCulloug another one of cathy’s students
I so so so agree with you Classy Drunk! Do people even read the previous comments before posting? Like all of the comments that said please dont spoil it and the ones in which Gwen goes out of her way to figure out a way to post it without spoiling it? Thats just messed up “A” and “Nannie”. I dont even care about spoilers (I went and looked it up instantly) but damn folks dont always wanna know stuff and that should be respected… Dont know why that bothered me so much, maybe I am having a grouchy morning.
Why do I feel like all that choking stuff is just a publicity stunt? I’m more inclined to believe Cathy was to blame because she’s always the one doing underhanded, mean things. Christi is almost always a very genuine – if somewhat eccentric – person. And how do you get a bruised lip from being choked? And her students spending all night on twitter because they’re so upset? I don’t believe it -_-
Holy crap… I’m seriously hoping that Christi didn’t really choke Cathy…
Looks like the choking incident was real, the CADC folks twitters are all a buzz with the info AND it looks like Cathy quit the show… Now how will ever know if Vivi gets to play softball?!?!?! Check out Justice’s mom’s twitter for as many of the details as they will give (which are not much).

Oh my God. Take a chill pill. Do you honestly expect me to believe that the majority of posters here actually believe the bs that they see on TV and are not out there reading everything they can find on the web? Good Lord.
Didnt mean to start drama with you Nannie (at all) just saying that when folks specifically ask for info not to be posted here it’d be nice to respect that. No chill pill needed, I actually really like your posts because of the insider knowledge you seem to have as it gives more insight to the inner workings of the ALDC. (white flag raised girl, no need for drama)
Peace
@Nannie most people here probably are, but some people just enjoy the show and don’t want it spoiled for them. If you read the comments above, Moli specifically asked me not to post who got the role on Drop Dead Diva.
@Nannie. No, I don’t go looking all over the web for info on this show. The ‘Gasm is the only place I read about it, and I think it is pretty rude for you to post spoilers after commenters said they didn’t want to see them. If you want to talk about spoilers, create a new thread in the forums and post the link here. Not a difficult concept.
From what I’m reading on people’s Tumblrs, it seems like the story is that the ALDC girls were heckling the CADC kids for beating them somewhere and then Christi choked Cathy for something. I doubt this story because the ALDC and CADC kids are actually all friends… I saw a picture a few minutes ago of Chloe and Kenzie hugging Justice and smiling, so this seems unlikely. Also, I find it sort of funny that if someone got assaulted and the police were called that all of the kids and parents were on Twitter all night.
Also, Tanya (Justice’s mom) tweeted that Holly was “just as bad” which pretty much confirms that this is all a ruse. I mean, come on. Holly? No.
Last post about this, I promise, I’m just reading this right now and keep having things to add.
Erika from CADC’s mom, Barb, tweeted that “Those ALDC kids minus Maddie mocking/heckling our kids all the way down the street” and “Erika was hysterical! Took me over an hour to calm her!” This seems unlikely because, as I posted above, the kids are all friends. Plus, they seem too sweet to mock or heckle others. And Erika was on Twitter from what seemed like the moment the incident took place until early in the morning, which sort of discredits Barb’s “it took me an hour to calm her down”.
I don’t believe anything until I see it on camera and even then I’d have to be sure it’s an unedited version. But Justice’s mom said CADC quit the show and I honestly wouldn’t mind that, hopefully they’ll replace their tv time with more ALDC girls dancing.
I can’t believe how overly invested in this show some of you are! What are you 12? I didn’t start the darn spolier alert, just confirmed what was already posted. If this is the only site you go to about Dance Moms, then you probably shouldn’t bother. It’s a gossip site, a bash site.
The show is completely scripted. There are characters played out, and personalities forged—–FOR THE DRAMA. Get over the illusion that it is all real. It simply isn’t. Money exchanges hands, competitions are paid off and the whole game is repeated every week, while the cast is laughing their butts off knowing the majority of people think it is real.
@Nannie, not sure why you can’t respect the other posters who do not want spoilers. It’s really easy enough. You mentioned where it could be found and that is enough. If people want to go and look they can and if they don’t want to know then they won’t.
People mostly come here to dish about the actually show and we do like background insight, but some do prefer to be left in the dark and only focus on the show.
So no one would have had a problem with you linking the information that you provided, but since you posted the information WITHOUT a spoiler warning it got a few people upset.
@Nannie, I honestly dont even think its about the “reality” of this show, we all know its fake that has been proven time and time again. I think its really about the fact that some people still like to be surprised by whats going to happen when they watch a show. Its like any other show on TV, if I was watching Lost and had no idea how it ended it would suck if someone told me without a spoiler warning. Also, my original post was directed at both you and “A” so please dont take it personal. I only directed my later comments at you because you responded.
Nannie actual because I’m NOT overly invested in the show I’m in the dark. I do not go to other sites to read about the show, I do not even have any friends that watch this show. I can only talk to you guys about the show I really like. My problem is what would the point be of watching the show if I already know what’s going to happen? There is no element of surprise and I can’t be entertained knowing what is gong to happen after the dramatic commercial break. It was a simple request and Gwen was sweet enough to post it as a link.
I think Peyton did receive second place, but it was in the Novice Category.
When I first heard about this twitter stuff about Christi choking Cathy I thought it sounded like some sort of viral publicity stunt for the show to keep viewership up, but reading through the tweets it really doesn’t come off like that. Justice’s mom was saying that Christi was put up to the altercation (presumably by a producer looking for drama) and that it then went too far. She also believes the ALDC kids were also put up to the mocking because they are in reality nice kids. That would be a weird way to go about this, acknowledging that things are fake and set up. Seems way too meta and clever for a show so badly edited.
I’m not going to pretend that I know enough about these people to know who is telling the truth. Christi has seemed threatening a couple times, but I’ve never seen her do anything violent. Although sometimes people do get carried away and bad things happen. I do think it’s odd that she hasn’t said much on the issue beyond some vague comments. When has Christi ever had trouble speaking her piece? I also don’t know enough about the Candy Apple people or their situation in the show (Justice’s mom said they aren’t contracted) to judge them either. I would certainly hope the kids and moms wouldn’t be put up to some big lie/exaggeration that even goes outside the confines of the show.
It seems like something did in fact happen though, and it was filmed. So we’ll see something, whether it be the truth or a fabrication for the show. I don’t know whether this really happened the way they are saying or if the Candy Apple people are being put up to this for ratings, but either way I think it will spell the end for this show. Why can’t the kids just dance?
@Wednesday the CADC are probably not doing this for ratings because Justice’s mom said that they quit the show. But the whole thing is just bizarre.
chloes solo was amazing! I cant believe that she didnt win! I cant stand to watch Payton with this group, she looks ridiculous with them!
What I do think is real in all those tweets is that PRIOR to the fight, Cathy and all the CADC folks (kids and parents) had quit the show (that is, they had just finished filming ths season but will not appear next season). I actually buy what Justice’s mom tweeted, that Cathy decided the show was only showing their studio negatively, and that such exposure was doing harm to the kids. So:
1. Yay for CADC parents for turning down this kind of fame/exposure and instead keeping their kids’ mental health paramount;
2. If CADC could do it, why not the ALDC parents? I just don’t buy the idea of unbreakable contracts (with Lifetime or with ALDC) – heck, our constitution abolished slavery long ago.
3. Maybe this incident will help encourage a groundswell of opinion against kids in reality shows.
4. Reading the recap and comments is yet again more entertaining than the show itself. And tvgasm may have broken the news of the fight, and CADC leaving – I searched hard last night and couldn’t find it anywhere except individual Twitters.
I knew CADC would not renew their contract. You could tell Cathy was over it on the last episode. So no surprise from me.
