Hola, Gasmii.

Okay, is it me, or was this editing this episode particularly ridiculous? Like, in one scene, Melissa goes downstairs to do chores for Jabby and then in the very next scene showing the moms she’s magically back? Nice try, Lifetime. WE’RE NOT THAT DUMB!

Anyway, to start at the beginning, the pyramid is back, and Sophia is on top of it even though she is in “L.A.” filming a “movie.” Chloe’s at the bottom because she “forgot” her solo last week even though WE DID NOT SEE THAT. (Unless I missed something [always possible]???) Brooke isn’t even ON the pyramid because she didn’t dance last week and Kelly’s mad because AT LEAST SHE SHOWED UP (unlike Sophia).

This week the girls are going to North Carolina and Brooke is again banned from dancing because she has to show Jabby she really wants to dance or something. Does anyone else think that Brooke just doesn’t want to be on the team/show anymore?

Mackenzie gets a solo even though she RUINED last week’s group dance (and Jabby’s life) because of her struggles with the red carpet prop. Paige also gets a solo (hi Paige!) and this is probably the last time we’ll see her this season. Kendall and Maddie are assigned a duet and it sparks a “fight” between Shrill and Melissa because Melissa SUPPOSEDLY said she isn’t happy that Maddie has to dance with Kendall. For once I am on Melissa’s side because I do believe she meant she just wasn’t happy that Maddie didn’t have a solo and not that she was dancing with Kendall.

Sophia is still supposedly on the team (even though she’s not there) and Jabby gives her a part in the group number (even though she’s not there). She never ends up showing up, but I’m sure she’ll still be on top of the pyramid next week. Oh, and the group dance is about immigrants immigrating home or something equally WTF.

And of course, there’s a whole lot of  screeching, with Shrill living up to her nickname.

So that’s that. Four eps in and we are going full throttle with the fakety fake nonsense. I will have the full recap up in a couple of days. Until then, you catch up on last week’s recap here.

    It was a weird episode! Editing was bad. Plus WTF was the whole “let’s clean out Abby’s garage” part all about? It was so random and had nothing AT ALL to do with the storyline….

    Was it just me or does Kelly look like she got her boobs done? They looked fabulous in that dress at the comp. I need to know where she got that!

    I didn’t understand what Shrill was mad about at the competition. And I wonder if Kendall was really the one off during the group dance.

    I do not understand the competition?? Are they competing against beginners?? I am terrible at watching for mistakes and even I could see they were way off, yet they were awarded first place. I think it was Kendal, in the middle, who was way off in the beginning.

    Brooke probably shows up for the paycheck once a week. Producers want to keep her relavent.

    The middle school drama with the moms is getting old. They need to graduate to high school drama.

    I did not like the group dance. I doubt the immigrant thing came across. I would not have got it unless I just knew.

    I think I knew what Melissa meant too but I can see how Jill took it the way she did. I think Abby was full of it. I watched the duo very closely and Maddie and Kendall BOTH looked amazing! It would not have won best overall if it was not. I even actually paid more attention to Kendall to see if she messed up and she did not. The costumes looked great. The girls looked great. The choreo and dance looked great. Fake drama or Abby is just nuts. I think Maddie and Kendall make a good pair because they both have the same color hair and look a lot alike and about the same height.

    I thought Paige’s solo was good. I loved the purple costume. I did see some feet needing to be pointed and straighter legs but otherwise good. 3rd overall is good for Paige.

    I do agree Kendall was way off in the group dance. But the duet, not so much.

    Oh yeah and totally agree about Brooke. She does not want to be there. She just shows up because she has to and then leaves. Might as well just permanently remove her at this point.

    Lovethecrazies: Yes I noticed the boobs too and I agree they looked good.

    I actually could see myself getting along very well with Kelly in real life. That comment she made about Abby in that old pic being “too pure to be pink” made me squee! That is from Grease!!!!

    Kendall was off in the group.

    Paige was good but her arms, like Abby said, are too floppy.

    Yes, Kendall was WAY OFF on that group dance, and it really showed. What is bothering me is that they are not even going to real competitions anymore, so for them to “win” 1st place doesn’t even mean anything… I have no respect whatsoever for in10sity or expressions because they are getting a bunch of money from lifetime to have these invitiationals (which is basically the producers or Abby Lee cherry picking who they want to compete against, which makes the competitions pretty slim, therefore, guaranteeing them a win). It was better when it was a real competition, but now it means nothing to me to hear they got 1st or whatever, because they might have only been competing against 2 other girls from a studio they knew they would beat anyway.., right?

    I think Maddie and Kendall did fine together in the duet, but it’s very clear that Maddie is a much better dancer than Kendall. I think they best pair is Maddie and CHloe because they are really intune with eachother and dance at similiar levels and really dance beautifully together. Obviously Abby is making Chloe suffer for some reason or other, so she’s not going to give her a duet/trio or solo for awhile (this is what I hear).

    That one picture they showed of Abby where Kelly said, “to pure to be pink,” Abby really looked quite beautiful!! She still is a very pretty woman. Just wish she could be a little nicer to those girls, or more fair would be good too.

    Abby is pretty and I wish she would lose more weight so it could show more.

    Is that what they really are doing? Not doing real competitions anymore? That is bull.

    this show is getting more and more garbage-y. why, oh, why do i still watch? i’m like an unwilling addict.

    i don’t remember exactly how it was said, but i remember abby telling jill that if she would stop looking at her phone all the time during lessons, she would notice abby paying attention to kendall. my question is, IN WHAT WORLD do mothers actually come to all their childrens’ dance lessons, barring “mommy & me” ballet lessons for 5-year-olds?! i mean, obviously it’s for the show, but it’s such a ridiculous concept. when my child is born i plan on using his or her dance lesson time as nap time, sorry!

    @lovethecrazies — omg, kelly’s boobs. i would be mortified if my mother showed up somewhere with me when i was 12 in that dress. and my mom has boobs for that dress (exact opposite of me). especially since they were at paige’s eye level. awkward!

    @april — i, too, find kendall and maddie to visually pair well for duets. it should happen again, even if it elicits some whining (what won’t?!).

    I kept meaning to post this question on previous recaps, but kept forgetting :/…

    I was really confused by the whole “we are going to protest Kelly and her kids not being on the team” thing. Didn’t Kelly quit? Why would they be protesting them not being there? Shouldn’t they have staged a sit-in at Kelly’s McMansion until she agreed to go beg for mercy?

    I’m glad I got that off my chest.

    On to more relevant things.

    @ellemenop – I completely agree. The editing is horrible, the scenes are becoming more and more blatantly scripted, but I can’t stop watching. Its a problem.

    I’m irritated by the incessant complaining. They know the skinny. If they are still doing it for entertainment purposes, its time to find another dog and pony show. Begging for forgiveness one second and then bitching endlessly about what a facist Abby is is getting old.

    What’s up with the ‘Reign Dance’ sign in the parking lot? Is the ALDC in a dancing shopping center or something?

    Reign Dance is the original name of Abby’s Mother’s dance studio that Abby got her start at. So I think she considers her a part of Reign Dance.

    @ellemenop – yeah, not appropriate for the competition, my 13 yr old would die if I showed up at a cheer comp in that!! But a night out with the hubs? I’d get anything my little heart desired!! Lol

    Anyone else notice those fugly faces Melissa is always making? I like that Abby is mean to her:)

    I wish I could punch Jill in her overly botoxed face!! Geezzz.. she is never happy!

    I really liked how Maddie was being sweet to Kendall before they went on stage telling her she is awesome. I think she is a sweet girl. I love how sweet they all are to each other.

    The girls are getting so big! There going through that awkward stage , theyre not little kids anymore, but not quite teens yet. Chloe and Paige are getting so tall !!!!!

    I got all excited at 1st. Thinking McKenzie’d finally escaped The Bows That Time Forgot. But then I saw they’d just moved them to her back. To make room on her head to put some fruit.

    For her quinceañera dance that’d be more age appropriate for a 1st communion. With a costume that came from the toddler section at the walmart.
