Minicap: Dance Moms Miami

Do you ever wonder if these bitches sit around and decide that each week one of them will be the Ultimate Grand Supreme Twat? Or does it just develop organically? Either way, this week’s title goes to Susan for her unmitigated cuntiness.

We start off on a high and happy note because of last week’s multiple wins in Orlando. Lucas is back on top of the list, followed by Kimmy and Jessi. This is Susan’s first chance to bitch because her daughter was beaten by 9-year-olds. Next on the list is Sammy for not taking her clothes off or something (I may have made that up) and Hannah because of her pre-solo meltdown.

This week, the chillins head to Starbound in Ft. Myers, spring training home of the 2004 and 2007 World Champion Boston Red Sox. (We will not discuss their 2012 record…) Lucas and Kimmy each get solos and Jessi, Sammi and Hannah will be doing a trio (that I’m sure was not producer-mandated in any way, shape or form). Well, this causes Susan to lose her shit and walk out the room because GOD FORBID her daughter have to dance with Hannah. Jessi, to her credit, seems totally fine with it.

Naturally, this configuration causes drama upon drama with ALLLLLL the moms getting into it and Abby storming out as usual.

The group number is called Twisted Circus and each kid portrays a different twisted character. There is a little “mishap” in which, I think, Sammy accidentally dropped Kimmy or something (full disclosure, I was on my fourth glass of wine at this point). VictAng yell at Kimmy, but Jessi comes to Kimmy’s defense and says it was actually SAMMY’S fault, which unleashes a maelstrom of shit not seen since last year’s Mob Wives reunion. (I may be exaggerating, but I need to pretend this is more entertaining that it actually is to keep my spirits up.)

ANYWAY, for the full details, come back in a couple of days. As always, love all your comments and insights, so keep ‘em coming. And remember, only three more weeks till we get our little Crazee Apples back.

Thanks for reading and have a great day!

It was Lucas who defended Kimmy.

Poor Hannah, it was horrible that she heard them talking about her. I’m surprised that Jessi isn’t an entitled brat with Susan for a mother. What exactly makes it a privilege to dance with Jessi?

I just watched this episode and am STILL fuming over it. You know, I have gone off on my mom for less. I am not always the most respectful in the way I have talked to my mother over my life, but sometimes if you are wrong you are wrong and need to be told. That goes for Susan 100%. That woman has some serious issues. She acts like she controls the studio. So I don’t blame Jessi for being nasty towards her mother. Her mother pretty much deserves every bit of it. She is going to ruin something that brings her daughter the most joy and something that her daughter is talented at just because she doesn’t get her way.

I feel like Sammy and Abby were not wrong for leaving. I know competition teams are about dedication and being there. I was the most dedicated dancer we had. I never missed. I came sick. I came injured. I gave up school functions and friends and boyfriends for dance. BUT, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. They live an hour away. It was late. She had schoolwork. There could be more going on. You cannot keep kids there till 10 at night. It annoyed me too when my studio would do that.
There was one incidence when it was a day trip to a competition 3 hours away. It was always told we would just need to be there one day. So we planned for that. My mom drove me and the competition was running over 4 hours behind! So I stayed long enough to dance and then we had to leave. It was getting dark. My mom has night blindness and did not want to be driving alone on the interstate in the dark with two teenage girls (we were giving a friend a ride) without a cell phone as they were not around much then. So we left. We got dogged out for it. I don’t think we were at fault. Sometimes a dancer is at the whims of their parents. I was a minor. You cannot expect dancers and their families to not have any sort of life whatsoever. Doesn’t work that way.

I liked the circus number and I would have liked the trio if the costumes were not so awful. I love Victor and his attitude. He is fabulous.

Also my heart broke for Hannah when she started crying because all the moms always are bitching about how much she sucks. That is just awful. Shame on them. The only one that needs to be correcting her dancing is the teachers. Everyone else needs to STFU.

I think Lucas knew Kimmie would take it to heart too much if she thought she caused the mistake. So, he whispered to Ani that it wasn’t Kimmie’s fault. However, I don’t think he intended to call Sammy a liar. Maybe from Sammy’s POV she only sees Kimmie’s mistake and not her own because she doesn’t do that many lifts. I am sure if Lucas could see what truly happened, Victor and/or Angel would have also seen it. They could have addressed Sammy’s mistake in class. If she wasn’t being honest, Abby could talk to her about that. It is not Brigette’s place to yell at her. Because Sammy has shown she immediately goes on the defensive if someone who shouldn’t even be trying to discipline her starts accusing her of things. I never got a good look at what happened, but I trust Lucas way more than Brigette and he wasn’t mad at Sammy. He just didn’t want Kimmie to feel bad. He knew he could trust Ani. It’s too bad his own mother couldn’t have calmed herself down because who will she also hurt? Lucas.

Meanwhile, checking in with the head of the Hurting My Own Kid department, we have Susan who decided she needed to torture Jessi and Hannah and everyone else. Jessi and Sammy were doing something different than Hannah during certain parts of the dance. So, they got their technical skill that is beyond Hannah seen by the judges. I wonder if the part where Hannah finally started crying was late on the first day. If so, that may be yet another reason why Abby just took Sammy home the second day (besides her homework and need to study for a test). But, Sammy has to go when her mother says so. Did the previous episode not have Brigette mentioning that none of the kids could drive? Well, Sammy is still too young. Abby goes, then she must go as well.

I thought the trip to learn circusy things was fun.

Hannah’s mother and Jesse’s mother are vile. I think they should be sent to Candy Apple’s studio and deal with her insanity.

These kids are dolls…every single one of them ..and when they cry…and it’s ALWAYS because of their mothers…not their fellow dancers…or teachers….it makes me wish I could walk in and tell these women what I really think about them.

Hannah will grow out of her weight if her mother (who could use a salad) would stop hounding about it and making it an issue..nobody else is.

I think mothers should be banned from the lessons…..drop them off…..pick them up when they are done….I didnt’ get to sit and critique my son’s football and basketball practices…or my daughter’s plays..we saw the final product.

But then I guess there wouldn’t be a show

Susan’s railing on Hannah was not only cruel, but seemed completely to miss the point of a dance TEAM. On any team, there will be stronger and weaker dancers. Part of the job of the strong dancers, it seems to me, is to serve as role models and help the weaker dancers raise their game. The trio seemed like a fabulous opportunity for Sammy, Jessi, and Hannah to all learn how to help each other and adapt their styles to accommodate other dancers.

It also made me sad when Lucas talked about kids at school teasing him. Lucas is a fabulous dancer. I mean, for a nine-year-old boy, his leg extension and flexibility are amazing and I think he’s got real star quality. I really hope he sticks with dance. (And if he’s straight, he’s got it made–he’ll always be surrounded by girls!)

I like Lucas, but he is learning how to be a sneaky little bitch just like his mom. It was none of his business to go whispering around stirring shit up and he 100% learned that from his crazy mother! Granted, Sammy could have kept her mouth shut too, but at least she was involved, Lucas had nothing to do with it.

Angel is an ass for holding Jessi responsible for Susan. Granted, if Susan leaves and takes Jessi, that will be it, but he was so rude to Jessi about it and it was completely out of her control.

Oh, and Abby was right about Brigette calling out Sammy. You DON’T confront someone else’s kid unless it is a safety issue and their parent isn’t around, you go through the parent, not the child. Abby was right there, and Brigette had NO authority to interrogate Sammy like she did. Damn you Brigette for making me defend those too this week!

I think Bitchette is the most evil of this twisted group. Which is weird b/c she has the boy so she doesn’t really have to compete with any of them. I think it’s just her character to be mean.

Lucas was saying what he thought was right but who knows if that was accurate? He was in the dance and I wouldn’t have thought he’d have had time to analyze it. I think he was just being nice to Kimmi by whispering to her mom. And why was Bitchette yelling “Get out” to Abby? She’s not in charge of the place. Such nasty women – I think Abby should take her kid and go.

I think Lucas saw what happened. But, he said Sammy was wrong. He didn’t call her a liar. He is a little kid, he didn’t know what his evil harpy mother would do. He just worried about Kimmie being upset with herself. He knows more about her than Sammy does. But, he had no idea how helping Kimmie would backfire onto Sammy. An adult or older kid would have known, but he still trusts him mom.

Brigette is a horrible person. She kept things riled up against Hannah and Sammy. Now she’s after Sammy again. I thing she thinks if all the girls are freaking out Lucas will get even more dance time. But, he needs the girls. They are his team. He learns from them.

Meanwhile, we have seen Sammy’s dad blustering about Stars and the long drive. He’s only happy when there is no problem. So, she’s on the defensive. I don’t know if her dad is serious. Probably not. He knows why she is at Stars. But, she believes him. The last thing she wants is for all her dances to be an angst fest.

How proud were those kids of tbeir circus costumes? Ha ha. So cute.

Susan is certifiable. I cannot tolerate her. The fact is that Angel has to do what is best for the studio. If Susan is so disruptive then for the good of everyone else, she has to go. And that unfortunately means Jessi goes too. It happens. You cannot let one crazy mom ruin it for everyone. Let’s be honest, she is acting like a petulant child throwing a tantrum. She knows she is driving Vic/Ang insane (they have repeatedly told her) and for the sake of her daughter STILL can’t STFU! And the thing with Hannah was the last straw. She did not even care that she heard her. Ani basically told her to be quiet they can hear you. That woman is just heartless.

I can’t believe I’m saying this….for the second week in a row Abby made sense. My daughter dances 12 hours a week (16-20 hours during dance team and competition season) and all the dance teachers know that school comes first. I have told my girl since she was little, your dance teachers (or gymnastics coaches) may love you but they are not going to support you when you grow up. Vic/Ang should be supporting that. Not all these kids are going to be dance stars, they need a plan B. Oh, and I also would have left the competition if they were all yelling at my kid. It could have been partially Kimmi’s fault because Vic/Ang knows she has timing issues. Although Sammy needs to stop defending herself. Just hush. You never win in that situation. They make fun of Abby for getting up to leave but what should she do? Sit there and allow them to attack her?

These mom’s are just awful :(

Wow, I am actually feeling bad for Abby these days… those other women are blatantly picking on her. And I don’t even think it’s because they are jealous… I think they are just mean mean girls. Unfortunately for her, my goodwill does not extend to her kid. I can’t believe Sammy was so quick to throw Kimmi under that, now famous, bus. And the way she did it… “Not to put it all on her, but it’s all Kimmi’s fault.” So dirty. You were both involved so, just suck it up and both take the correction.

Good for Lucas for speaking up but I question if he really got a good look at things… wasn’t he being lifted himself at the time? I would think he was preoccupied. And don’t get me started on Bridgette. Where does she get off?

Brigette loves to cause arguments. She won’t let a moment go by. She may have started something with Sammy no matter what. I don’t care what Sammy said. Her mother and teachers were right there. But, I think it was close to time to go and the team had just won. Let her go home feeling o.k.

Lucas said lifts are 50/50 anyway. Maybe Sammy and Kimmie just got lucky in rehearsals and they both need to work better if they do another lift together. But, right after the performance is not the time. When they go back to the studio, then they can work on it. And if there is more to what went wrong than Sammy thinks, they can explain it to her to help her in the future. No one needs Brigette’s help.

Susan not caring one whit that Hannah was crying because of what she said and Jessi had to stand there and feel guilty although she did nothing is crazy. Susan, no one got me any dance lessons either, but it’s not these girls’ fault! They weren’t even born yet. It’s not even my parents’ fault. Things don’t always go perfectly. At least Jessi loves to dance and you could calm down and enjoy watching her. It makes me happy to watch her on TV and I don’t even know her!

I don’t know what the problem is with Abby. Well, yes I do. She is better than Hannah and about even with Jessi. Did they think a crap dancer who they could pick on would take that spot? Well, you have Sammy. Be happy with her. Yes, she comes with a mom as well. You will have to learn to deal with another person who isn’t used to your crazy. She really doesn’t seem mean, but she isn’t going to put up with endless crap.

Is storming out better than being an evil harpy or an emotional basketcase harpy? I hate it when people storm out, but I honestly don’t know what else she could do. I respect that she doesn’t want to say the cruel, nasty, mean, child tear inducing things some others do. Not that she’s perfect, but damn.

Poor Ani. She wanted to stop the arguments so badly. I know they are making it difficult for her.

I do think she wants to do something besides constantly fuss and Bitchette surely doesn’t. But, I haven’t forgotten about a few things.

I feel bad that these moms are upsetting Abby so much she may have to take Sammy and leave. Sammy is just a kid. She has her issues, but she might grow up to be a sweet person. She was invited onto that team. Don’t they wonder why?

So… I guess I’m in the “I don’t hate Sammy” camp. I think that she is a great dancer, has super long legs and I don’t think that she means to be snotty. I’m a very defensive person, I don’t like when people jump on something that I’m doing without hearing me out. I think that Sammy is typically trying to stick up for herself. Now, I don’t think it was right to throw Kimmi under the bus, you’re a team, good or bad it doesn’t matter who’s at fault. I don’ t know why Lucas jumped in, it really wasn’t his place to say anything. If he felt that Sammy was wrong he should have went to her, but he is only 9, so I’ll let that go. But, I don’t think that Sammy is as bad as everyone makes her out to be. I don’t love Abby, but I like that she leave rather than lets these women pick her apart…

Susan is crazy, Bitchette is a bitch, Bob is delusional, and poor Ani is going to die of stress! LOL!

I don’t hate Sammy either. Actually, don’t hate any of the kids. Sammy does come off as snotty, but she’s 12 and she’s probably been told all her life how wonderful she is, so at 12 years old, you probably don’t know better. She’s never done anything rotten that I’ve seen on the show- just an air about her that comes off as snotty is all I mean. The kids are fine (and considering how their mothers behave, that’s pretty good), but I can’t say that I really “like” any of these kids. Don’t dislike them, but don’t really like them either. Hannah and Kimmy seem very sweet, but I just can’t seem to warm up to them like I did with the Pittsburgh kids. I can really say that I truly LIKED ALL of the kids in Pittsburgh- some a bit more than others, but I truly loved to watch them perform, or just watch them being kids.. Something seemed very genuine and loveable about them– to me. I don’t know if others feel that way too, but that’s just how I feel. So anyway, I don’t hate, or even dislike, these kids from Miami, but can’t really say I like them either- just don’t feel much either way.

Now, the moms, I absolutely can’t stand!! They are HORRIBLE!! They are like vicious monsters and will hurt anyone in their way. (Ani is the exception, so when I call these moms hidious, I don’t mean her.. She seems very sweet, compassion, thoughtful and a genuinely lovely lady. Now, I’m not a fan of Abby’s at all, but I have to put her in a different camp then these other bitches. I don’t like Abby, but she is not as disgusting as the other ones to me. I don’t blame her one bit for leaving- why would she lower herself to their level by staying their and keep attacking one another? Also, she has her kid there- I would get out so fast to keep that kind of nastiness away from my child. So, yeah, I’m not a fan of Abby’s, but I like her a hell of a lot better than the other 3 bitches (Ani excluded, of course). Also, don’t really blame Sammy for being a bit defensive about the whole thing when Bridgette was asking about what happened, or accusing her. I would be on the defensive just being around her because you know whatever comes out of her mouth is going to be offensive. I think Lucas shouldn’t have said anything to Ani. He could have mentioned it later on, as someone already said, at the next class or whatever if he felt he needed to say something, but I felt maybe he had a little too much of his mom in him right there and was starting something. I will give him a break though, because he’s just a little boy, but being around that nasty witch mother of his has got to have its influence and maybe that’s what came out.

Okay, sorry for going on and on so long… I really, really can’t wait for Pittsburgh kids to come back. I wish all the best for the Miami kids, but just am not feeling it with them, and the hate I feel for their mothers is not a good feeling. Victor and Angel are ok. Not big fans, but their better than Abby Miller by a long shot (except, I really, really don’t like their choreography), but as people they seem like they love the kids and don’t have obvious favorites like Abby does, and also don’t seem to take things out on a child just because they don’t like their mom (like Abby does also). Okay, I’ll shut up now. Sorry so long!!

One thing that I can give Jabby Lee props on is that she has zero tolerance for teammates throwing one another under the bus and critiquing one another. That was her big beef with Pay-ton. The moms were a different story, but the kids were not a part of the comparing and cattiness (unless they were asked about it in private interviews, but even then they were pretty tame and kind-spirited).

I couldn’t stand either Jessi or her mother thus episode. My mother was a HUGE meddler, gossip, drama queen, and pot-stirrer, but if I had spoken to her or given her the attitude like Jessi she would have knocked me into next week! And I would have deserved it!

Sammy made me mad with what she said. She said something along the lines of Kimmy was late for the lift so she dropped her so she could be on time. Seriously? You don’t just drop a kid because she was late. You finish the lift even if it’s late if only for the fact that you don’t drop the kid! Just do it faster or something and go from there. I do cheerleading and if we did something like that for the sheer fact that it was late we’d get our butts kicked or at least get screeched at. So really it’s kind of both there faults though Sammy should NOT have dropped her for any reason.

Susan was out of line this week. Like get over yourself! (or would it be your daughter?) Yeah Jessi is good but that doesn’t make her god where its an honor to dance with her daughter. Technically Hannah has already dance with jessi in the group numbers so I don’t get what the big deal was. they still did very good. not exactly disapointing even if it wasn’t 1st place. Jessi doesn’t get 1st place all the time (look at the first episode) Susan has to stop thinking her daughter is the best thing since sliced bread.

Samantha – I don’t think Sammy was saying she dropped her on purpose to cath up, I think she just meant that she wasn’t in the right position to catch her, since the timing was off. Lifts have to be timed properly by BOTH people. It was a good point, if that’s what happened, but I think she should have just kep her mouth shut, she’s a right-fighter.

    Kimmi Paul
    Posted May 17, 2012 at 6:26 pm

ash1 – That is how I took it too. That Sammy was explaining that the timing was off and that is why it happened. I do not think she meant to throw Kimmi under the bus I think she just didn’t want to be blamed 100% for the drop. And to be honest, it wasn’t as bad as it seemed in slow motion. And I may be mistaken but didn’t Angel state at the beginning that the reason Kimmi was second was because she still has timing issues?

Anyway I think Abby has every right to tell those ladies to go screw themselves. And with the way they treat her Vic/Ang cannot be surprised if she decides to take her kid and head back to the old studio. No amount of fame is worth that. She even said that she never experienced this type of insanity at her old studio. I know my daughter’s studio is NOTHING like that. Maybe she was right and Debi/Bob was the mental one at the old studio.

And I apologize to everyone who loves Pittsburgh, but I think the way Jabby treats those girls are waaaayyyy worse that these mental moms. At least the moms can leave and let them train in peace. The Pittsburgh girls cannot get away from that mad woman. She is just soulless. And I don’t believe for one moment that is an act. She just isn’t that good of an actress.

I looked at twitters and Susan seems to be pleased with herself this episode. I would be trying to go to the mental hospital as Jessi advised last episode if I acted like she did, but whatever. What the heck was she standing up for? The right of her daughter not to dance with another dancer who isn’t on her same level of expertise? The hell?

Even if Hannah was as bad as Susan delusions, the judges aren’t going to strip Jessi of her dancing privileges. If my guess is right, this is a transition to a Jessi and Sammy duet. Hannah was a buffer to let them get used to one another since they will be in a more difficult category than the Hannah/Sammy duet.

Oh, and when Bitchette starts making noises with her mouth part don’t listen to her if your name isn’t Lucas.

I looked up some of Victor’s competitive dancing. I see what they are going for in some of these dances.

I like how much nicer Victor and Angel are to the kids. Abby Lee needs some self control. The way she makes Paige cry in the preview pisses me off. Paige can’t drive. Go find Kelly and ask her about the stupid chair. Tell her if the stupid chair isn’t fitted with those dumb stoppers, Paige can’t practice and this means she will lose her solo… which you, Abby Lee, should not want to happen. Also, p.s.: Chloe doesn’t think she is a choreographer, she just can’t always read your mind.

Also, I have been hearing some worrisome stuff. But, hopefully, it is wrong since it would mean something strange was happening with little Maddie.

If they are going to keep craycray, can she tone herself down? Also, we know Kendall is ALDC. Stop sticking her with CADC (realizes this means I’d have to put up with Jill) um, never mind.

I must say it is a huge relief to me that the Miami moms don’t have to make the costumes. That makes Abby Lee’s studio seems even more whack than it already seemed. I don’t think the Miami moms even put the makeup on, do they?

I think Susan is just straight-up crazy. It is annoying as hell and I want to smack her that flat face of hers but I still have to give Bridgette the bitch award. And I think something is going on behind the scenes with Vict/Ang and Abby that we aren’t seeing. That frustrates me. Inquiring maryediths need to know everything about these shit shows.

I don’t know if this will be a Pittsburgh spoiler or not which is why I didn’t say. So, anyone who doesn’t want to know skip by quickly!

    Possible PGH DM Spoilers…

I read some dance sites. There are people posting who see the PGH girls, moms, and Abby Lee. They are all very nice, the girls are very and polite. However, about Maddie… In one competition, they called her name for her solo and she never came out. At another, her solo was pulled before that. At that one, Chloe and Maddie were backstage about to do a duet. But, it never happened. And they both were seen crying. The person couldn’t vouch for this part, but they heard gossip that Abby Lee pulled it because they were embarrassing her. I get the impression Chloe IS doing her solos as well as the other girls. But, it may be Maddie had more than one solo in these competitions? It just seems weird to me if she’s missing them. I don’t know about group dances for sure, but no one mentioned those.

Interesting. It’s good to know that they are going to actual dance competitions.
