It’s all down to the nitty gritty on Dancing with the Stars, as the final six are forced to put in twice the work as before (cut to Chris Jericho, kicked back and laughing, drink in hand). They’re celebrating ballroom dancing this week, which means everyone in production is fresh out of theme ideas. Like every elimination episode, we’re treated to several performances and sponsored routines apropos to nothing, and deluged with the hopes, dreams, ambitions, and insecurities of the stars. At least no one has mentioned Kirstie’s weight for a couple of episodes (though her costumes are juuuuuust different enough from those of the other female competitors that it’s obvious they’re designed for coverage).

With only a few weeks left in the competition, the stars are all in danger of landing on the chopping block, and sloppy execution, tomfoolery, or general fuckery will no longer be tolerated, unless America has an unexplained boner for the star in question. Because really? The couple America chose to save? Will have me scratching my head until next week. Drop by for the recap later this week to find out who stays and who goes!

BlueCanary is as unorthodox a blend of optimistic and bitter, laid-back and anxious, motivated and straight up lazy tas one is likely to meet outside an unspecified institution. She spent the past decade holding a variety of job titles, including reporter, tech writer, production manager, and administrative assistant (the go-to job in this economy for folks who just HAD to get that English degree). She is currently living under the tiny yet powerful thumb of an awesome, pint-sized little dude, who wets himself and can't form full sentences (read: stay at home mom). Another tyrannical little thumb is gestating in her womb. She is a regular on The Neutral Corner podcast and blogs at www.mamamuzzle.com.

Blue's as-yet-unpublished YA novel, The Nature of Echoes, is currently a Quarterfinalist in the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award contest.
