Hey Gasmii! Dexter’s back for a seventh season and I’ll be doing the recaps this season. Hopefully, some of you have caught me on Tonight’s Top 10 and if you’re not tired of me yet will keep coming back for Dexter. Now for a quick rundown of the premiere.
Whoopsies
Dexter appears to be on the run. He’s got his bag ready, rushing to the airport and is buying a ticket to go to Budapest. I wonder what drives him out of the country?
You wanna fuck?
Deborah after catching Dexter in the act is starting to freak out. She doesn’t know what to think of her brother anymore and is battling between her only family and her morals that made her so ambitious. Either way she has to stop falling for serial killers.
I have some major daddy issues or really need a puppy.
LaGuerta finds some evidence that leads to her asking questions, which will likely lead to the answer that it’s a miracle she ever got proper funding with Miami Metro’s incompetency.
Quinn and Angel hit up the strip clubs, but it’s purely business. At least for tonight.
Masuka is too busy working to get in an offensive comment.
Mike finds out the hard way that nice guys finish last.
An investigation leads back to some mobsters led by Titus Pullo in Kiev. Ten points to Gryffindor to whoever gets that reference.
Louis is still a weirdo and is taking his obsessions to the next level while Jamie proves once again this is obviously her first job and she has no life.
Hopefully Harrison will clear up his contract dispute in time for some screen time next week. Otherwise, that’s everybody. Come back later this week to check out the full recap.
If you like it, spread it!:

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAA!!! the minicap was hilarious. If this is how the recaps are going to go then this season is going to fun!!!
Is that a Dollhouse reference? Do I get the points?
That’s a ROME reference. Sigh. I miss ROME.
Great to see Dexter recapped here. Poor Deb. Serial killers, indeed.
Does anyone know if this is to be the last season? Because I enjoyed the full circle nature of last night’s episode; bringing up the Ice Truck Killer, the Bay Harbor Killer, and Sergeant Doakes (the oft missed professional nemesis of Dexter). I really enjoyed this premiere and I’m glad that they didn’t sacrifice Deb’s career drive for the sake of her weird incestuous need to please Dexter.
Yes Derek this is the last season.
Yikes–spoiler in the first line that shows up when you click on all the recaps…and some of us haven’t finsihed LAST season yet!
How long is a something a spoiler?!?!!? Not trying to be mean but the season completed a year ago.
Nooo, Classy! Don’t say that it’s the last season! How can the best scripted show on TV end while Grey’s Anatomy is still pooping out episodes?
Season 8 is the last season so one more after this.
@Poochini109 I’m so sorry, I’m new to the recaps so I put the description in the wrong place where it posted to the home page. I fucked up
Yay! I like your Top 10 posts, I’m pretty sure I’ll like your take on Dexter! I can’t watch the show so I’ll wait anxiously for you!
Oh ok. I thought they said this was the last one earlier in the year and the actors already knew how it ended.
My bad.
Yay!! So excited for Dextahhh (sorry, after the Lila season I just cant say regular ol’ Dexter)
This was a great ep, looks like a great season ahead!
I LOVE Dexter! there is one more season after this one.
@ikanread, that reference wasn’t from Dollhouse, but did you recognize Viktor? He played Victor on Dollhouse!
Deb should be dead….. just my opinion, but it’s not to be.
I”m with you chooch.
@ClasSay, didn’t notice any spoilers, but some of us are forced, yes FORCED, by buddget-conscious spice (plural of spouse) to forego premium channels in favor of trivial things like food, shelter….
*sigh*
Thank goodness for Netflix, anyway.
