Rub the lady boxer’s butt and get three wishes.
Another Monday and another visit to RuPaul’s Drag U. This week’s class was three lady boxers. The first, Cynthia, had a jerk of an ex-boyfriend who always pointed out how and where she looked like a dude, but I think he was just jellus because she had better guns than he did. The second, Krystle, was in for a rude awakening when she and her boyfriend moved to LA and she started comparing herself to other women. And Missy had gotten so used to taking care of everyone else that she stopped taking care of herself. Working with this class was Chad Michaels, Jujubee, Raven and Raven’s unfortunate animé obsession. Gurr, you’re not Gwen Stefani.
So since this show has gotten everything down to a formula, I decided to apply my own formula and pick the winner just by their introductions. Which was tougher this week because two of them looked so similar, other than a roughly 6” height difference, and were the same age that it was down to splitting hairs to figure out who came closest. Hell, they both even had sympathetic sob stories. But one’s sob story was just a little more sympathetic so I picked my winner for the competition. Then she looked like JLo at draguation and I knew she won.
Jamal Sims was back as Dean of Dance because he choreographed Step Up: Revolution and it wasn’t going to promote itself. Now, I haven’t seen a Step Up movie but I understand the dancing is as awesome as the script is ridiculous, so…congrats? Also joining the falculty was Tamala Jones from Castle and I realized that I don’t watch nearly as much TV as I thought.

Valle, I think that’s the winning formula for picking winners. I really thought they all did great on this epi, and I thought it could even be a three way time for the first time in drag history . . . but yeah, then I remembered the sob stories, so I figured it the same way you did!
Raven really was looking . . . I’m not sure there are words . . . but wow!
