I hate this. Also, red lipstick is NOT my friend.
Howdy, Gasmii! Since Logo still hasn’t cancelled this show, I watched the newest ep last night as the perfect capper to my birthday. Because here at the Gasm, we’re all about you, the readers. We watch what you won’t. You’re welcome!
At least we had a breather last night, no screaming for a change. Last night was the Tale of Two Contestants. We saw Eden being, well, 6 – whiny and uncooperative – but somehow she pulled it together for a photo shoot. We also saw Audrey, who just wanted to play and had clearly been forced by her mother into pageants. Audrey didn’t pull it together. But then, she’s 4. Also she definitely needs something to help with the frenetic activity. Like brandy. It’s not just for teething anymore!
We also saw the warm human side more nastiness and complete cluelessness of, as BedHeadJen calls her, Fransolonely Cutabitch. Why this woman works with children or in fact any humans or animals at all, is beyond me. Surely there are jobs that don’t involve contact with other living beings. Undertaker’s assistant springs to mind. Also, for someone who’s supposed to be an expert on hair and makeup (albeit self-proclaimed) she sure doesn’t know how to do her own.
Little Audrey may have had her issues, but she was perceptive enough to hate Cutabitch. I wonder what Fransolonely said or did to her that we didn’t see on camera.; Cause when a child visibly flinches and shrinks away from an adult, that’s way more than being a bit high-strung.
And those shots of Eden from the photo shoot? Oof. Way to call out her incipient double chin, Mr. Professional Photographer! I can do better with my iPhone!
As usual, much more in the recap. See you soon!

Okay, PennyD, if you can watch this travesty on your birthday (happy happy) the least I can do is share the pain. *sigh*
OMG, this show is the best trainwreck ever – it has it all! Fighting, bitchy people, clueless people, queens of denial, and you know you are in trouble when the 6 year old is the voice of reason!
Audrey, the four year old, may have had some other issues…I know I always peg these kids as having developmental issues (hee) but I sort of got the feeling she was either ADD or autistic – I say autistic because of her aversion to being touched, although I wouldn’t want Fransoly weeding my garden let alone touching me. She is HORRIBLE! I don’t know why Mickie would want that negative energy around her. And you are right, her work SUUUUCKS.
And the publicist/agent fight – these people seriously don’t have a clue. And I agree, the photographer did a horrible job. I get that Eden was uncomfortable in the cold weather, but the shots were TERRIBLE and really had less to do with her than his crappy “skillz.” And again, Eden isn’t in classes for singing, acting, dancing, NOTHING and they expect her to get on Broadway? Come on.
Can’t wait for the recap!
What a mess is all I can say.. The little girls hair and makeup was a terrible,, and she is a brat and that damn mama of hers is forcing her too.. she would rather be playing.. what part does she not understand….oh, you are right.. that ole bitch Fran cant do hair or makeup.. and Eden always looks like a madam or someone walking the streets with her hair and makeup and those outfits she wears.. Geesh,, Mickie get her in her natural state and give her some singing and speech lessons. The little girl needs to be in school if she is not.. Which I dont see that she is with all the moving around and flying everywhere that is going on.. This show made me want to puke.. Loved how the man kept coming in and fighting and pushing that old hags buttons… HA.. no one likes that bitch not even the little girl… this show is ridicoulous and needs to be taken off the air!!!
I don’t watch this but I just had to pass by with a “GOD DAMN!” that screen shot is horrifying! Cheers!
They should have left poor Eden in pageants. She was actually good at that. This child is never going to be taken seriously in the real entertainment industry with the trainwreck of a “team” she has working “for her”. I think we all know that it’s not really about Eden, though, which is a shame, because she’s a cute kid. I assume that she is getting paid for this, which means that at the very least her education is being at least minimally attended to (that’s required by law for industry kids. And really? Logo? Do they really think that’s a channel their target audience is watching?
Erg. I have an awful vision of the future in which an eighteen year old Eden is suing Mickie for squandering all of her, Eden’s, money. We’ve damn skippy seen it happen with other child, um, stars.
That was my first thought when I heard about this show: what part of the Logo audience wanted this? All I can think is that the pounds of makeup slapped on the poor kid (as in the screenshot above), fooled viewers into thinking they were watching outtakes of Ru Paul’s Drag Race.
I don’t have experience with tv/movie kids but I have worked on broadway tours with children in the cast (lion king employs 4 at a time, and the color purple used to have several, before they got written out of the script for cost-saving reasons.) Since the Gary Coleman debacle, the laws have been rewritten– the traveling guardian is paid a “per diem”, as is the child. Another small percentage of the child’s income is immediately available (and therefore likely squanderable), but the rest is put into a trust fund that only becomes available when the child is “of age”.
Dear, dear crabby– I have likely said this to you in comments on your (hilarious!!) t&t recaps, but what you often peg as “developmental problems” are often just disinterest on the part of the child, and poor parenting. I do not watch this show (holy crap!! What is happening with this child’s hair? And why wad I not informed that it was rocky horror night on logo? (come on, I know you secretly see it too!), but damn!! Ps, while I have not met Eden or Mickie in person, I have been unfortunate enough to encounter heather and fransolonely, and though I like to remind you often of how edited t&t is, they are as delusional (the former) and erm… Unpersonable (the latter) as they appear.
Fran is a BITCH and Audrey did not like Fran! She probably is a good kid but was crazy because of the people she was working with! I’ve seen her at pageants and she is a little hyper but she’s a good kid and her mom is a good parent. She has 2 daughters in pageants and both love them. Audrey, however, does not like glitz nor does she like Fran. Don’t judge people that you do not know!
PennyD, what fun if you could share this viewing experience with me via twitter. I just can’t do it alone. Call me cowardly….
@Bitchhater… Hate to tell you BUT Audrey does NOT like pageants.. even if she dont like Fran she still dont like pageants.. She wouldn’t even practice and showed NO interest in it.. The child is a little off. Not trying to talk bad about her I dont do that but state the truth when I see it. She was telling her mother no and looking off in space like she was in another world. TV can only edit so much.. she showed absolutely none what so ever. She definetly is hyper if thats a new word for ADHD.
I am Audreys grandmother. Yes there is a reason Audrey does not like Fran which I will not disclose at this time. Audrey was also tired. The schedule she had to keep while filming was not four year old friendly. Not for naps or for meals. Audrey is a sweet little girl who happens to hate Fran touching her or anyone else who is loud and bousterous. She loves natural pageants and hates glitz. Her mother asked if she could style Audreys hair and apply her makeup and Fran said no. She said she was being billed as the professional and if it looked bad when my daughter was finished it made Fran look bad. I’m still laughing over that one. Audrey was a nervous wreck with all the changes around her. They really need to assess how they deal with the younger children. Had we known Fran was the stylist, Audrey would probably not have been there at all. As for pageants, she probably will never do another. She is now on our locat tball team and doing well. Don’t judge these children by these shows. There is much more happening than is actually shown on camera.
Rats, I missed (on purpose) this show again! That poor child in the photo is a white lab coat away from being the perfume counter lady at Macy’s, circa 1989.
I’m looking forward to the full recap. Your reference to Fransolonely Cutabitch made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside
Hopefully your birthday pancakes made you feel the same way.
If the little girl does not glitz pageants why in the hell would you make her do it or have her on this foresaken show!! Whatever grief you get woman thats your fault.. you are the one that makes her do this.. You cannot have your cake and eat it to. She clearly does not want to do pageants!!! Get over it and move on!! I can understand that she dont like that cunt Fran BUT there is no reason why she acted the way she did. Dont you model and practice in natural pageants as well?? If so, then whats your excuse now?? I mean really?? You seem to be one of these people that force your children to do them because YOU want them to.. kind of like Mickie Wood and Eden.. Eden could careless.. put that kid in school so she can get an education.. quit moving her all over the earth hoping she is going to find some idiot to represent her when she has no talent!
Way back the first time they showed eden on t&t, she actually seemed to me to be a cute kid who actually enjoyed pageants. I’ve never met her or Mickie in person, but there’s only so much coaching/goading/bribing you can do with a kid that age (I want to say she was 3 or 4 at the time?) and while I get that the t&t filming schedule is pretty exhausting, you can usually tell which kids love it, and which kids would rather be watching cartoons or kicking around a soccer ball. Back then, Eden seemed like the former. She’s a cute little girl, still, with a certain amount of stage presence, but there are a whole lot of kids out there, ones with actual talent and training, who haven’t made it in the entertainment industry. With her crazy-train mom and the freak-show of a “team” she has “behind her”, she doesn’t stand a chance. Go back to Arkansas. get her some real training, and see if it is something she actually wants– that is, if she can ever recover from the gimmicky stigma she’s acquired.
Quick word of advice, if you don’t want to be eaten alive on here: Audrey being tired from the filming schedule is understandable, but just as with Candice who blamed her cracked-out-squid of a daughter’s behavior on the film crew denying her naps and even food, the fact remains that the adults in her life made the decision to put her on the show, and to go along with the filming schedule. Was this her first glitz pageant? Because if it wasn’t, and you already knew she hates it, well, all I can say is WHY? Look, I don’t blame her for acting like Fran was about to kill her. I’ve only met the woman once, and I wouldn’t want her touching me either, but again, the adults in her life made this decision for her. I don’t have a problem with pageants, obviously, either.
Very well said and I totally agree!! The child does NOT like pageants, glitz or natural.. if she did why was she throwing a fit to do anything they asked her to do. I have no sympathy for the mother or the child.. she put her daughter on this show knowning just because she either wanted tv time (for whatever ridicoulous) reason .. this is a gay channel. On another note.. I cant believe.. well I can believe it that Mickie is only looking out for herself and what she wants as same as Audrey and her mom. Its not about their kids.. Eden needs some school education!!! By listening to this child she cannot say any words correctly.. I have never met them but just by watching this train wreck one time has led me to believe that. Audrey, spaced out and clearly could give a rats ass about pageants. Hey mom, put her in something she doesn’t have to focus or care if she nails it or not..that would be your safest bet.
@PennyDreadful Happy Birthday! Too bad you had to spend some of it with Mickie.
You know what’s even worse though? When somebody that’s got Severe Delusiona Disorder has a baby. And then up and forgets to adopt it out to a good home.
Eden’s a cute little girl that looks like she’s right slap where she’s supposed to be in the artistic talent dept. Which is normal.
Delusiona Mickie needs to be thankful for what she’s got. An average and normal little girl that’ll be able to sing in the school play. And not asked to just move her lips.
She won’t get kicked out of kids dance class because she’s holding the others back.
Eden could have fun and a happy life. Just being what she is.
What she’s not is a professional child. When you look at “show business,” show’s just the adjective.
If you put it in SAT test style, Eden is to the business world what Audrey is to Toddlers and Tiaras pageants.
But Mickie needs to change her thinking quick. Even if she needs counseling to do it.
Because Eden’s also got normal intelligence. So it won’t be long before she figures out her own mama’s fantasizing about turning her into a cash cow that lays golden tickets.
I have watched this.
Pretty disgusting how they dress this child up with big hair and tarty looking make-up
This kid has No talent whatsoever.
She can’t sing in tune, cannot
act, and cannot even read yet.
Her mother is a pushy stage mother who obviously thinks her kid is it!
She goes on photo shoots with make-up on.
What photographer wants to take pictures like this.
Talent agencies want natural looking kids.
They don’t want to see made up pageant kids..
Little girls should look like little girls..
Not made up tarts
She tours the country to try to help other kids to be successful l on the pageant circuit
I remember as a child they used to have a thing in UK called Miss pears.
It was in the 1970s little girls were naturally beautiful.
I think putting little girls in heavy make-up fake tans, false eyelashes is pretty gross.
They spend hundreds if not thousands on dresses.
And entry fees.
The parents are lucky if they can even recuperate half of it back, that’s if their little darling wins. Grand supreme!
