Alright, guys, it’s night two of the MasterChef “premier event.” This is where the many of the remaining aprons are handed out. In fact, I’d assumed they went with last year’s formula of only two nights of auditions, but I learned at the end of the episode that the final aprons haven’t yet been handed out! I’m not really sure how the hell I’m supposed to write minicaps on back-to-back nights on essentially the same episode…but I’m doing my best!

Anyways, thanks to editing, things go much the way of yesterday. A couple solid, early contestants, followed by a dry spell. This dry spell gives our judges the opportunity to bust out some good quips, and gives Bastage the opportunity to go out and tell everyone to step it the hell up.

In the end, it feels like the judges are actually pretty damn happy with the contestants thus far. They’re all acting, for the most part, a little TOO nice to everyone, and there have been more unanimous decisions than I remember from last year’s audition rounds.

Welp, one more round of auditions to go…next Monday…I can’t lie, thus far I don’t love the contestants. I mean, I want to. Maybe I just miss Whitney.

Anyways, a pair of recaps are comin’ up in the next couple of days…stay tuned!
