01.03 - 04 - Truck Full of Onions

Last night on MasterChef, we finally got to the good part. The CHALLENGES!!! Finally, the heat is turned up! Where the show will finally stop glossing over advancing contestants, or kicking them out…oh, wait. Sigh…

So, anyways…the challenges begin. Well, first, the 38 contestants are paraded into the challenge warehouse. Remember the big challenge warehouse from last year? With the ambush points and the knives and the stabbity? They’re there again. Last year, what’d they do? Chopped onions for hours. This year, what’d they do? Chopped apples for hours. 14 contestants get sent home. They show about 4 of them. I have no effing clue who got sent home. What the hell, guys…how can you ninja-boot one of my two ponies?!?

Seriously, I spent the next 10 minutes scanning the remaining 24 contestants for that one, and no dice.

Alright, so second up, a giant truck backs in, and in the back? A chicken! ONE CHICKEN! What a waste of gas. Anyways, they give all remaining contestants a whole chicken…dead, though, I guess we’re not far enough to make them kill their own meat. Yet. But, based on last year, I’d expect it to happen. So, anyways…another 6 get axed, and we’re down to 18.

Dangerously is a Southern boy misplaced in windy Chicago. He spends most of his time wandering around Chicago hoping for a random encounter with Graham Elliot...(I bet that guy gives the best hugs!).

    For all of the todo they made about the spoiled rich jackass being young, the Indian guy Reby is the same age (and seems a lot nicer, which means he’ll probably be eliminated in a few minutes, since I’m only halfway through the episode. It also means the rich jackass should be around for years.)

    I know I shouldn’t but I like the rich kid- in that love to watch him way. Think Scott Disick. Love Ben but I agree with @jimbob Jones take off the hat!
