Last night on Masterchef was the first team challenge! Our judges selected the two team captains based on who won the previous elimination event (French cuisine, if you’d forgotten). Just like last year, we get a red team and a blue team, and due to math, there are 8 members on each team.
The challenge? Cook in the cafeteria for hundreds of hungry business people. The red team is doing soup, salad, lasagna, pizza, and berries and cream for dessert. The blue team is making soup, salad, burgers, pizza, and cookies for dessert. Each team runs out of their special, which disappoints the hell out of Gordie. In this competition, the voting is performed on individual dishes, and the team that wins the most dishes wins the challenge. I will tell you this…each team won at least two, and the dessert was the deciding factor.
The poor losing team faced the first pressure challenge of the season! They have to make ravioli, and the judges stress the importance of being able to make a good pasta. 5 of the contestants do good enough, but there are three left on the chopping block!
