02.03 - 13 - can't look at you'Last night on Masterchef, well, we got pretty much a repeat of last week. Ok, to be fair, there were different ingredients under the box, and the elimination challenge featured a different theme. I guess I should eventually realize that this is a cooking competition show, after all, and good lord, how much diversity do I really expect from the challenges in the core of the show?

Well, so we started with another mystery box challenge. This time, there’s a rack of lamb and a bunch of other shit. The minichefs get an hour, and OFF THEY GO!!! Well, let’s just say things aren’t nearly so good today as they were last week. For some reason, most of these guys are just butchering the lamb (not literally, of course). And the judges, yet again, take a moment to call out the worst dish…this time it was Cammy! She almost served them dangerously raw lamb. Ew. Then they chose their favorite, who got a HUGE advantage going into the elimination round…

Just not as huge as Born Again Christian’s last week.

This week’s winner got to choose the key ingredient in the dessert everyone would be making for the next challenge, and then got to choose a different one for him. So he chooses coffee for the rest, nuts for himself, and leaves the pineapple on the table. I won’t tell you the overall results, but just like last week, 2 “winners” were picked, and this time only one person was sent home…because, ya know…even teams and all.

Dangerously is a Southern boy misplaced in windy Chicago. He spends most of his time wandering around Chicago hoping for a random encounter with Graham Elliot...(I bet that guy gives the best hugs!).
