MiniCap: Person of Interest

Tonight we bitterly learn what the expression “No good deed goes unpunished,” really means. We also learn once and for all that Carter is more of a menace than Elias, patchouli-wearing hippies on a bus and crabs combined.

Before that, Reese stops by the library and after snooping around and finding an embarrassing photo of Finch and Ingram learns that they have not one but four numbers they need to track. There doesn’t appear to be any connection or pattern to why they were chosen. Reese thinks it’s random but Finch is tired of explaining things to him so he lets him go off while Finch tries to figure out what’s the what.

But when Reese heads to the first, by minutes, number’s apartment, she’s already dead so oops. While Reese is hilariously wearing a CSU windbreaker over his suit jacket Fusco sallies on over as the lead detective. From there the three stooges musketeers each take over watching one of the three remaining numbers to equally inept results. Well, one of them is more inept, but he has a limp so he’s excused.

Turns out it’s a standard issue procedural story about political corruption and is really the set up to the main story which is: Carter’s an ungrateful bitch. Or maybe that was my interpretation of her story. Turns out her sniffing around Reese made his fingerprints start pinging at the CIA and a rather shady agent (you can tell by his pointy features and receding hairline) comes by the station to talk to her. While Reese is hovering over her by proxy via Fusco, the shady agent, Mark, is telling Carter all kinds of things about Reese, and good cop that she is, she doesn’t ask for one bit of evidence.

So Reese calls her to help her look good and gives her information on the murders they’ve both been tracking and she in turns gives that information to Mark who…well he’s shady and does something that guarantees that the “Kill Carter” petition will get a shit ton more signatures tonight, but also gives all the slash writers so much material their heads probably exploded.

Full recap in a few days. Until then, you can catch up on the last recap here. Or you can bide your time listening to the awesome closing song.  Beats all the Christmas music that’s probably making you stabby right about now.

I have officially joined the I HATE CARTER bandwagon. Talk about ungrateful! I loved Reese’s reaction to the redhead in the salon! Finch’s reaction to the bomb broke my heart! Looking forward to the full recap…

This was a great episode, despite turncoat Carter. I hope she gets what she deserves, she really made me angry last night. Poor Finch, his world was rocked twice; the bomb & then Reese getting shot.

I love this show! Oh, and thanks for the link to the great music.

I missed this episode because of a meeting. Sad to hear that Carter is so stupid. I guess honest cops aren’t allowed to be smart anymore.
