Minicap: Real Housewives of NYC

Andy Cohen opens Part Two of The Real Housewives of New York City Reunion with what he views the most controversial topic of the season–when faux royalty met faux Johnny Depp.  It was all a misunderstanding according to Lu, and she’s still together with her big dummy.

Sexy SonJa brought the heat, according to Andy, and he wanted to probe a little deeper into the rear garden topic, but SonJa wasn’t talking much about it.

Was anyone turned down by Tomas?

Turning to pervy fossils, time for a Hornysaurus montage.  SonJa wasn’t upset about Aviva trying to fix her up with George, but was offended that she wouldn’t unleash him on Carole.  Viewers wrote in about Aviva’s double standards for RamonJa and her sex addict father.

Toastergate!  SonJa’s toaster oven is ready, but claims she’s holding off because she’s working on a “collection” that includes tongs and oven mitts.  Keep the faith, gurl, it will be in the 4 a.m. infomercial rotation one day.

Next, a montage of the highs and lows of the relationship between Aviva and Ramona.  Aviva shares that her mother died as a result of being an alcoholic, so she is “sensitive to partying” and fun.

There’s 10 empty wine bottles under the sofa.

Andy keeps prodding Ramona about alcohol, so she finally tears into him that she doesn’t drink any more than her industrial winery can make.

As the Reunion and the season end, the final thought is that Heather has gotten prettier.  Holla!

The full recap is on its way, so check back soon.  Last week’s recap of the Reunion, Part One is here.

I don’t know why but seeing the reunion made me love Heather even more. I hope she stays out of all of them. HOLLA!

My favorite part of this show was Ramona getting up at the end while Andy was mid sentence and then acting surprised that they were still taping.

I kind of want to change my internet name to Krumtre Mitzentongs.
But it’s probably just a medication issue.

Ha! Perhaps Ramona did that on purpose! It was probably after he called her a drunk and she reminded him that he always has a drink in his hand and he isn’t aging as well as she is.

So, Lulu and Faux Johnny Depp didn’t get it on? He just drove her home and looked at the house? Am I the only one who was a little confused by that explanation?
Whoever did Adiva’s makeup should be shot, or fired, or both. Her right eye was very distracting.

Great — Aviva has another “issue” that sets her off, that we all have to really understand about and not rag on her for her behavior. It’s getting like that “slowly I turned!” sketch where the person suddenly becomes violent at an innocent dropping of a word.

I concur that Heather looked great. She also handled herself very well when Sonja (Oy!) brought out the logos she preferred from another person.

Ramona asked Adiva about a pre-nup for with the cancelled wedding and Adiva told her to “check your facts.” Isn’t that exactly what Ramona was doing?

Boy, Adiva has an excuse for every nasty thing she does or says.

She was in an accident, her mother was an alcoholic, she’s afraid of heights (except in Miami), she saw a clown, she accidentally drank tap water, her father slept with Harry, her toes itch, someone looked at her, she meant you’re socially out of her league, not that you’re poor.

And all the shows about zombies, and aliens who have taken over human bodies simply prove that she was right to stock her bomb shelter with Cipro and tinfoil, and all the non-believers will be sorry!

No matter what non sequiter these ladies utter, nothing will ever top, “Are your toes fake, too?” Adiva missed the golden opportunity to reply, “Oh no, they’re real. Only the leg is a prosthetic.”

What this franchise has shown that once it goes beyond Season 3 there is “no there there” any longer.

If “ratings” depend on Sonja swimming nude and doing “the nasty” with some hired hand, and Ramona’s drunken behavior is subject to discussion, then the plug should be pulled. They have gone as far as they can in keeping the viewers interest.

Toaster ovens? “Babies” for an overaged party girl? A Hugh Hefner wannabe? A wooden leg? Who has or has not slept with Harry? Is this it?

Bravo would be better served if it limited its franchises to no more than 3 seasons and replacing the cast with an ever changing landscape. But after 5 seasons in NYC there is nothing much left of interest.

    Move on already.

I thought Ramona came off fairly mean. It’s not just what she says, it’s also how she says it. The comments to Lu about loving men and Aviva on the prenup accusation were just nasty. I was hoping Andy was going to ask Sonja how she felt after seeing the clip of Ramona going off on her to Maurio at Sonja’s party. I wanted to hear Sonja’s thoughts since that’s the only time I can recall of Ramona turning on Sonja.

I was impressed with all the ladies when the Hornysaurus was brought up. It was clear he was inappropriate and it wasn’t good, but they didn’t attack him.

I hope Ramona doesn’t come back next year. She’s been the same annoying and whiny character for years now, and frankly I’m bored with her. Really bored.

I love this reunion and mostly because it ran during the RHoNJ reunion, which just made me want to take a shower after watching.

These ladies fought but were civil, aired grievances and apologized at times and acted as much like humans as anyone in this franchise has a right to.

I can’t believe I like Heather now! I hated her! I am annoyed by RamonJa, but I do like that they seem to have a genuine friendship.

Aviva can drown in a milk bath for all I care. Of course it would take a team of experts to find her since white on white on white is her signature.

    Aviva’s mother was an alcoholic?
Why does that not surprise me having George for a husband and Aviva for a daughter would cause me to be a drunker too!

Why did Aviva still think that Ramona was wrong for throwing her father out? With or without ill intentions this was an event about domestic violence. I think Ramona would have been wrong NOT to throw him out as her letting it go would have been detrimental to the cause.

I actually ended up being ok with Luann when this was over. I have hated Lu (she loves it when you call her that) since she told Bethanny that people should address her as Countess De Lessep (sp)
