Holy shit, that was one Nany-centric episode.  Luckily, some of it was kind of awesome.  First Adam arrives for his visit, at which point he finally achieves his ultimate life goal of sealing the deal with Nany.  We get confirmation of this when Naomi asks her about it in Spanish as if that is some sort of code no one else will be able to crack.  The next day, Nany learns that her estranged father has died, but she has two half-siblings and one of them wants to get to know her.  Nany is very upset that she will never get to know her father, but cheers up a bit after a phone call with her half-sister.

The awesome part comes in when the roomies go out the night that Nany learns her father had died.  Adam is up to his usual blackout drunk antics, but this time Nany has suddenly realized that this is not an attractive quality and Adam is kind of revolting.    She rebuffs his attempts for a smush he’s too wasted to even remember, and then avoids him for the rest of his trip.  He whines on the phone to various roomies about how he feels so used, so they finally get Nany to offiically dump the turd.  More on the details in the full recap, which will actually be written in a timely fashion this week.

The only other story of significance is MikeMike’s visit from his birth mother, who you may recall has a long history involving a lot of drugs and a lot of prison.  Oh, and also, breast cancer.  Things are a little weird at first, but MikeMike decides to make the most of the time after seeing what Nany is going through.  Wow, that is so convenient.  Whoever cast this season seriously deserves a promotion or something.  The rest of the roomies… ummm… go to the Hoover Dam, and… that’s about it.  Maybe they were making like Abed and delivering babies in the background and I just missed it.

    This season has been pretty decent so far but I am so sick of Nany and Adam. They are like the Real World version of Sammi and Ronnie. *gag*

    Not a smart move Nany.That was the biggest gangster in Maine good luck finding someone that cool again.You blew it,Stay strong adam see you on the challenge lot’s of customers

    Just saw the commercial for the new challenge! Looks awesome! Teams are made up of two people who hate each other, like CT & Adam! Can’t wait! And it did look like Vegas Adam was there. Wonder if Leroy or Nany is his teammate?

    Adam and Leroy are partnered together which you know isn’t going to end well. Sucks for Leroy because he probably could be a pretty decent challenge competitor.

    @someguy i will ignore what exactly constitutes the “biggest gangster in maine” and just ask what “lot’s” is a contraction for.

    when i watched this episode, i was thinking how effin cool of a dude leroy is. i love when he shot nany straight and told her the situation with adam was making her look dumb. being a good friend is having the courage to say the unpopular thing even when it might upset the person if it’s in their own best interest. leroy’s been great like that all season.

    @Blazergirl I’m pretty sure I read in some spoiler blog in which they list off the contestants that it also states Adam is one (if not one of the first) cast members to get kicked off the Challenge as well. He is completely and utterly useless.

    I think it starts in a few weeks; probably as soon as the Real World ends. I believe next week is the finale and then they will do the reunion and then it will probably start the week after that.

    So I went and looked on the MTV website for the challenge (lame, I know, but curiousity got the best of me) and I noticed that all the partners are photographed together, except Leroy and Adam who have two seperate pictures posted next to each other. My prediction is Adam gets trashed night one, throws a punch and gets kicked out before they even did their photo shoot. He’s that much of a dumbass for it to happen.

    BlazerGirl – I think you can predict the future, or at least I hope you can. I also hope that in the new challenge, when one partner goes home, the other doesn’t. Maybe they wait until another partner has gone home and the two remaining partner-less contestants will get paired up. So, if you kick your partners ass in the duel (or whatever they will call it) and stay, you get immunity in the next round and can’t get voted in (if that is how they are doing it).

    What happened to Road Rules? Why did MTV stop that?

    I too have read spoilers for the challenge, and even went as far to read the winner spoiler because the challenges have gotten pretty lame imo. It’s always the same people, the same alliances, the same frenemies, etc etc. I’m sure I’ll end up watching it on the Net anyway though. But Blazergirl you are definitely on to something, and Leroy maybe possibly MAYBE gets a new partner from this season who is the opposite of his enemy.

    All this Challenge talk has me sooo excited!

    This episode made Nany a lot more likeable, I was starting to hate her but my heart really goes out to her in regards to her dad. I know her mom was just trying to protect her, but she really had no right to do such a thing, its pretty sad. Glad she will be able to have a relationship with her siblings though. I am also glad that she realized what a douchknuckle Adam is. Seriously, I hope he is the first kicked off the challenge, he is totes useless! I hate him beadie little eyes and that stupid gold chain, what year is it again?

    I heart Roylee!

    Soooo I watched the challenge trailer to and Wes still ughies me out, Johnny is still a little bitch, CT is still a bully and I still love Kenny. Are are we gonna have to listen to Paula bitch about never winning the whole season again? Somebody let this girl win so she can can move on with her life and off of my tv screen…
