Minicap: Revenge – Resurrection

Probably shouldn’t put all your eggs in Emily’s basket

The golden rule to live by in the Revenge universe is play or get played.  And our (anti)heroine is definitely a player.  Despite all of the complicated trickery and treachery that went on in “Resurrection”, to me the most shocking was Emily’s lie to Amanda.  She saw an opportunity to one up a rival and could not pass it up because her life is all about Revenge.  And of course it will come back to haunt her.

Surprise, surprise – at the end of the episode, the Graysons are back on top.  Victoria played it perfectly – even risking damage to the face!  Although this is the perfect opportunity for a little visit to Dr. Shapiro for a little maintenance.

Not sure about the Nolan storyline.  Will Padma be a love interest?  Will his company somehow work itself into the Grayson business?  How amazing would it be for Nolan to claim the Grayson mansion as his own?

Now that “sisters” Charlotte and Amanda are reunited -  we can only hope that means she will be attending all Grayson family functions from now on.  That will definitely lead to hilarity.

What did y’all think of “Resurrection”?  Mom flashbacks?  Nolan’s boxers?  Padma’s makeover?  Nolan’s hilariously “hipster” staff?  Victoria’s f’d up face?  Her return to her throne?  Ashley’s sad attempt at seduction?  Emily’s lie to Amanda?  Declan’s new career?  Peeta, the mystery man saving the day?

Full recap in a day or two!

Don’t you just love it when a plan comes together?

    I am only sorry that it *was* a lie that Emily told Fauxmanda. Sad hornz.

    Man, this show is addictive! I watched season one on netflix on a weekend. Watching it in “real time” is killing me.

    Oh yeah, I was so sure Ashley and Conrad were gonna bang…

    I wonder if Padma has any connections to the Graysons???

    @Enrique I also found the show on Netflix. I watched the whole season a week before season 2 aired and it’s killing me to have to wait a week to see a new episode.

    @Plockness I wondered that also. I wouldn’t be surprised.

    Ugh. I can’t stand Declan (we call him the human Q-tip). He’s whiny and useless. I am soooo hoping that was his hand on the boat – but it didn’t look scrawny enough.

    The hipster staff was ridiculous.

    i think the hipster staff was pretty standard fare for a tech company in nyc. my husband is an attorney working with tech & tech startups in nyc and not only are he and his cohorts really non-lawyerish, his clients are totally nolan’s oval table. i think that was pretty accurate.

    this episode wasn’t as good as the last, although as usual victoria gets all the really, REALLY good schemes. damn. i still despise fauxmanda and wish she would go away. if she does wind up at grayson functions it’ll definitely be hilarious; she is way too rough, and even her hair dye is cheap & tacky. oh, and ashley — another one that needs to go bye-bye.
