Welcome back to the first real test of the new and improved Drag U:  the week Raven’s scary lips came to town.  Will the kinder, gentler approach to the season have  a positive influence on her, or will she bend the show to her T-1000 will?

Clearly, Ru wants to show Raven who’s boss because this week’s makeoverees are all women in uniform: Christine the Marine, Virginia the firefighter and Sgt. Bernadette of the LA County Sheriff’s Department.  I know Raven’s lord-god-queen asshole, but even she’s got her limits.  Just in case, though, on top of that, two of them have lived through horrible tragedies.  And then on top of on top of that, she’s working with Shannel and Raja, neither of whom try to play her game.  Still, she’s Raven and manages to make me want to punch her.

As for the women, it was a two-horse race since two are still grieving the loss of loved ones while the third just wants to stop scaring away dates.  But then one woman slowly took over the show and while they tried to create some suspense, it was an expected result, with one of the greatest reaction shots to winning, ever.  Even if she looked like Patti Lupone.

    This was a good episode, but sad.

    I like Raja and Shannel. I even like Raven, lip injection choices aside. LOL
