Old-school Hollywood glamour.
Howdy, Gasmii! We’ve come at last to the final ep of this season. This one featured the so-called Cinema Suites, which are in fact not suites but instead rooms in a “bed and breakfast”. Cinema Suites is described as being in Hollywood. No, it’s not. I used to live 3 blocks from there. It’s nowhere near Hollywood – and not “1 minute from Beverly Hills” either, as Diane, the owner, claims. I will have much more in the full recap about the neighborhood this establishment is in, which from the bars on the windows and doors you may have sussed is not a good one. And you’d be right.
Also, this place is run by yet another has-been (or never-was) who is holding onto past “glory”. Diane says she was a music writer for a trade paper, the Hollywood Reporter, but she never mentions any musicians who isn’t either a) dead or b) almost dead. No references to music after, oh, 1970. So her contention that she was fired because the paper was sold, doesn’t wash with me. Diane claims that she’s always going to industry parties and such. Again, no. Those “industry parties” are probably either dive bars or gatherings in someone’s house of other washed-up wannabes. And if she has so many “industry friends”, why does Diane never have them over to her home?
Speaking of the place, what a run-down and thoroughly unpleasant house. Because it’s not a bed and breakfast, really, it’s a house where Diane is just renting out rooms by the night. I wonder if she even has a business permit. Oh, and Diane is completely resentful of her customers and treats them like they are annoying and a huge imposition, down to not feeding them breakfast (so the “bed and breakfast” concept has eluded her) and charging extra for maid service and clean towels. Yeah, that’s the freaking epitome of gracious hospitality.
MUCH more in the full recap! See you then!

I cannot wait till the full recap! That women was a piece of work and I just read that she was running a match making service for sugar daddy’s. Since it wasn’t mentioned I am surmising that it was her “social life ” that she kept alluding to. Hmmup!
So that was it! Good research FeatherH. I’ve never seen such a scripted “reality show” and must admit that I’m a tad disappointed in Tabs for going along with it. ‘Cause I love her!
What we saw still doesn’t change Penny’s description of the location of the non-Hollywood B&B. She might change he ‘tude, but she can’t change the location. I too cannot wait for the fullcap!
I have always wondered “What happened to Baby Jane? ” Now I know….
