Hi, Gasmii!  I’m very excited to be your new Real World recapper – and with 2 new eps last night!  Right here, I want to give a shoutout to VirginiaApple, who has been an amazing recapper on this series and has set a super high standard for me to aspire to.

Because I’m new to this series, I’m going to take a day or so to get to know the cast and watch the 2 eps in depth, and then you’ll see a supersized full recap this weekend.  Sound good?

My Real World viewing goes back to the very beginning of this series.  I realized yesterday that was literally decades ago.  Ah, the early days of MTV.  Music videos.  VJays.  Kurt Loder.  OMG he’s 66 now!  So that makes me — um, where was I?  Oh yes, I’ve watched the series through the years, and have always enjoyed it.  So it’s neat I get to dive back into it.

Since you’ve been watching all season, is there any info or insight into the characters you want to share?  Anything in particular you want me to focus on?  I also recap The A-List:  Dallas, and folks who comment on my minicaps help drive what I cover in the full recaps.  So I’m excited to hear from you, too!

As you’ve probably realized, this isn’t actually a minicap, just more of an introduction.  I know this will be a ton of fun to recap, and hope you’ll come along with me through the remainder of the season.

    How much did I love Nate last night. Very funny and self deprecating. He and Sam I totally want to hang out with now.

    Umm…I totally missed something here! What happened to VA?

    Welcome Penny! I will have to catch up on these 2 epis as well. I seem to forget that this show is on and only realize it when a recap is up!

    Welcome to the party, Penny!! The season has been kind of a bore. i personally blame Mike, who made Frank normal when we know that Frank is all kinds of crazy.

    I would love to hang out w/ sober Nate, but drunk Nate seems like a b-hole. OF COURSE, I would always be down to hang with Sam AKA Shawn Jade!!
