Minicap: True Blood

Last night’s episode of True Blood might not have been the best installment of the season, but it definitely propelled a number of storylines further! The central theme of the episode was “dreams.” Some characters were having good dreams. Some characters were having RILLY good dreams! Some found their dreams coming true. And still others found their lives turning into a living nightmare!

Godric made a lil cameo in Eric’s dream, and urged him to turn his back on love and give in to his killer instincts, but Eric instead chose to let his guard down and show a new, vulnerable side of himself to Sook, who found herself really starting to fall for him.

Jessica and Hoyt took in Jason and helped him to recover after being held captive at Hot Shot. But Jessica’s saucy vamp blood coursing through his veins caused Jason to have some wild sex dreams – with a not-so-welcome cameo by his bestie, Hoyt!

Meanwhile… Tommy inadvertently killed BOTH of his parents, and turned to poor big bro Sam for help… Lala and Jesus turned their backs on Marni and headed south of the border in search of Jesus’ crazy brujo grandfather… Portia wasn’t about to let a little thing like INCEST come between her and Beel… Alcide was given a threatening message from the head of the local werewolf council… Sookie paid Marni a little visit for a spiritual reading… and Arlene and Terry turned to Reverend Daniels in their hour of need and desperation for a little exorcism. What they got was some sage smudging, some gospel singing, and a night of love making. But it seemed to be the calm before the storm, as a vengeful spirit tried to set fire to their home!

In the end, Pam was hellbent on getting revenge on Marni for her rotting face. Beel used Katrina to kidnap Marni, and glamoured the truth out of her. When Pam accidentally let it slip that Eric was hiding out at Sookie’s house, Beel flew into a rage and ran off – but it was too late! Sook had already fallen for Eric… and was planting a big ol’ smooch on his lips! Finally!! Stay tuned for the full recap! And to catch up on last week’s cappage, click here.

SlifeGoesOn may be one of the newer recappers at TVgasm.com, but his love for television is older than he is!  He was exposed to endless hours of Charlie's Angels, DallasHart to Hart, and Remington Steele while still in his mother's womb, and it is no wonder that one of his earliest memories in life is of watching the epic fire that consumed La Mirage in Dynasty's sixth season finale.  He went through a troubled, awkward sci-fi phase in junior high, becoming obsessed with shows like Star Trek and The X-Files.  This paved the way to his love for Buffy The Vampire Slayer, perhaps one of the best written shows of all time.

Now a recovering ex-Trekkie, SlifeGoesOn opts for a wide array of programming, from highbrow, high concept fare, to trashy reality TV, where he makes his living as a senior story producer.  He was nominated for a Daytime Emmy in 2010 for his work on the second season of the Style network's number one-rated hit, Ruby.

His TVgasm recaps include the finely tawt thriller Damages, the campy, gothic True Blood, as well as the guilty pleasures that are Gossip Girl, Pretty Little Liars, and The Real Housewives of New York City.  He has also done a number of interviews, with celebrities such as Carolyn Hennesy from Cougar Town.  When not gabbing about television at the watercooler with co-workers, you can usually find SlifeGoesOn parked on the couch watching reruns of Sex & The City and reciting along with the dialogue.

Good to see True Blood advancing a truly great trust building exercise – nothing builds trust between angry siblings like disposing of a couple of bodies.

Also, I bet if Eric was not good looking Sookie would not have lied about him not being evil. Because Eric was evil as hell.

I’ll take as much Jessica as I can get quite frankly, so good episode.

I am loving this season so far even though I hate Marni, she looks like she had a stroke and it froze half her face. Loving Eric’s adorably vulnerable side, he is so cute. Oh and Alcide in a wifebeater? YES PLEASE! And before I forget, Beel sucks ass.

I’d like to be the filling in a Godric/Eric sandwich!

MichyPR–LOL, yes, Beel sucks ass. And Kieran–I’m a straight woman and I’d like to see as much of Jessica as possible, if ya know what I’m sayin!

Isn’t Marni the Aunt from Harry Potter?
