“I get kicked out for a caveman and shows that I out-performed because I’m not owned by (ABC Television Studios)? So a Chicano can’t be on TV but a caveman can?”

George Lopez isn’t happy about the “really, really white” fall schedule that ABC announced this morning. No George Lopez Show – and no According to Jim– but the Neanderthal family crowd does get Cavemen, staring the… uh… cavemen from the Geico commercials, a sitcom that’s a prime contender for first cancellation of the season.

That Grey’s Anatomy spinoff, Private Practice, gets a Wednesday slot, amid a slew of new one-hour dramas (seven!).

ABC also officially canned ‘Knights of Prosperity’, a critic-hyped sitcom with a multi-ethnic cast that unfortunately didn’t catch on. Too bad. It was like a twisted comedic version of ‘Heroes’.
