A few weeks ago, Average Joe: The Joes Strike Back quietly returned to NBC. I don’t know how I missed it, but luckily, I managed to get the past few episodes on TiVo. Normally, I’d be upset at missing so many installments, but then again, everyone knows this show only gets interesting once the “hunks” show up. Watching them bully around the geeks, dweebs, and spazzes is always amusing and frustrating. The conflict is great, but it’s painful to watch these guys curl up and take the abuse.

Surely, I thought I’d be over this show after the feel-good romp that was Beauty and the Geek, but after having caught the last two episodes this afternoon, I remembered why this was the only dating show I’m able to tolerate. And hey, it looks like one of the Average Joes might actually have a chance at winning this thing.

Because I’m too lazy to do a recap this week, I’ve instead opted to provide a few choice images from the past three weeks. More after the jump…

    Yay! more pics! more pics!

    My favorite moment of this season so far was when they were at SeaWorld and the seal had to “choose” Anna’s man for her, and he went up to the guys and screamed in their faces. Then later, when the guys had taped Dante to his bed, they overdubbed his scream with the sea lion’s scream. HI-LAR!

    The kissing incident was priceless. The ordinary joes racked up major points against the jocks with that one. Who better to do it against than hotheaded Carson? Carson naturally flipped out. Thankfully he was eliminated.

    Is it me, or do the makeovers do pracically nothing in regards to the guy? They can’t lipsuction them overnight.

    I see Josh has gone through a backwards “The Falconer” process.

    Anna scares me a little. Women whose hair is THAT red, have drawn-on eyebrows, Jessica Simpson eyeliner and eyeshadow and “I wear thisss much foundation to cover up my acne” freak me out.

    Ding dong, the guido is dead! I actually felt nauseous when they were making out in the vineyard. They should have diverted him from the bus to a rocked-out Camaro or something.

    Can’t wait ’til Nathan comes back on the scene. I thought he was adorable before the makeover! You can tell he’s a genuinely nice person, which makes him attractive. The new look adds to that!

    I just watched for the first time last episode. I hated Carson. You are the one who is the joke, Carson, not the average ‘jokes’. Stay with Kristen, Carson, ’cause no girl will want to go out with you after that appearance.

    Looks like a couple of guys kissing?
    And a chick stretching her nasty skin?

    Genevive: I only saw the episode with the picture of the girl. She had some kind of latex mask on for a disguise. She was spying on them as their waitress at the boys night out. I felt for her (not literally, that gives me goosebumps just thinking about it) when she saw 2 or 3 of them cheating on her.

    I’d have felt more sad for her if she hadn’t been making out with every guy she’s been out with on one-on-one dates.

    The pic of the two guys – the tough one got in the average guys face to intimidate him and said they were taking over his bedroom. He had been throwing all the average joe’s belongings outside. So the avergage guy stood toe to toe with him and wouldn’t back down and at the last minute – smooched him. Which REALLY pissed him off.
