Newsgasm: Cameo on Will & Grace Not Such a Stretch After All…

Miscellaneous TV

It happens in threes. First Lance Bass did it, then that guy who plays George on Grey’s Anatomy. Now Doogie Howser has officially announced that he’s gay. That’s right, Neil Patrick Harris, the co-star of How I Met Your Mother, revealed all in an interview with People Magazine, a magazine which has quickly become the It place to come out of the closet. (It’s also the host of Constantine Maroulis’s video diaries. Coincidence? We think not.) The actor explained that “The public eye has always been kind to me, and until recently I have been able to live a pretty normal life. Now it seems there is speculation and interest in my private life and relationships.

“So, rather than ignore those who choose to publish their opinions without actually talking to me, I am happy to dispel any rumors or misconceptions and am quite proud to say that I am a very content gay man living my life to the fullest and feel most fortunate to be working with wonderful people in the business I love.”

No word on how this will affect thousands of disillusioned Harold and Kumar fans, but we think self-medication will most likely be the coping mechanism of choice. For more, click here.

“Now it seems there is speculation and interest in my private life and relationships.”

Wow, really? Someone out there actually has interest in Doogie Howser’s private life and relationships? Get a life, whoever you are.

When Dr. Will hears this I think he might spontaneously turn gay in that instant.

The news sorta broke for me while listening to some BB live feeds. There was discussion of this and I thought, “hmmmm,if Chilltown and the girls say it’s true, it’s gotta be.” I’ve assumed he was gay ever since.

joyfulchicken… that person would be perez hilton and sadly, outing people IS his life. However, he’s most likely abuot to get sued for other smarmy reasons, and happiness will reign in the land soon :)

Perez is such a dick for outing people. I read his post when Neil said he was gay.. made me want to puke the way Perez was acting all proud and taking credit.. acting like he’d done a service to Neil… as if you can’t tell from Neil’s statement that he’s not very happy with the people speculating about him. What a fat asshole.

…anyways now Perez is after Anderson Cooper. Which is even more messed up, as Anderson has a LOT to lose because many people wouldn’t watch a gay news anchor.

How scary is it that people might consider sexual preference when picking a newscaster to follow.

Perez is a slimeball. Poor Neil, I’d offer to console him but sadly – it wouldn’t do him any good. (sigh) I’m still keeping my crush on Barney!

I’ve known that Doogie was gay for years. Anyone living in Manhattan has known this fact. So he likes to suck on the hairy meat-stick every once in awhile. Is that bothering anyone? Nope. Live and let live. Suck and let suck.

Hmm… based on what you guys are saying, this Perez Hilton dude sure sounds like an annoying jerk.

Maybe he and Tabloid Baby can have a little contest to see who can out the most number of people. It would be so much fun.

I thought this was pretty much known. Like an open secret or something. That’s why it surprised me when his publicist said that ‘he’s not of that persuasion.’ Maybe someone should tell him/her.

Didn’t NPH go to the Tony’s with his bf once?

as far as i know, anderson cooper has been out for awhile and it wasn’t until he found largescale appreciation that he started to not comment on it.

i don’t have any sources thought, so don’t quote me on that

How sad that the fact that someone is out or not, makes a difference as to whether they are a good actor/actress. (or good person for that matter) Too bad we can’t just appreciate people for who they are. Hiding one’s sexuality must be tiring.
