accounting2.jpgPretty soon you’ll be able to watch THE OFFICE while umm…at the office. Well that just wrote itself, didn’t it?

Special episodes of THE OFFICE are being shot for the internet starring the accounting staff of Dunder Mifflin in an office themed who-dunnit. I have a feeling the ancillary cast of several TV shows becoming stars of their own webisodes is going to become as common as a TVgasm simile. Finally, viral video is being taken out of the hands of amateur Numma-Numma syncers, and into the hands of professional SAG actors.

The Office without Steve Carrell, John Krasinsk or Jenna Fischer may not be worthy of prime-time viewing, but the cast should be capable enough for online viewing.

And I have to say, there is something splendidly ironic about killing time on the office computer watching THE OFFICE

NBC PRESS RELEASE:
When the Dunder Mifflin accountants — Angela (Angela Kinsey), Kevin (Brian Baumgartner) and Oscar (Oscar Nunez) — discover that $3000 is missing from the Scranton office, no one is above suspicion, as the crack team of numbers crunchers tries to solve the mystery before turning on each other. Rainn Wilson, Melora Hardin, Phyllis Smith, Kate Flannigan, Leslie David Baker and David Denman also star.

The Office is the best show on TV. Bar none. If you don’t watch it, you’d better start.

The “nazi war criminals” comment in the last ep was funny as hell.

Here’s a good place to mention this… NBC is nuts for not jumping all over Arrested Development and at least trying it with My Name is Earl and The Office. It would be a really great fit, or at least I think so anyway.

I look forward to it. The Office is by far the best comedy on right now.

Unrelated, but does anyone have any news regarding Arrested Development? I would gladly pick up Showtime just to watch. I am having major Bluth withdrawal.

hey madeyoulaugh- this is kind of off-topic, but i was perusing through the archives and came across my favorite bit of snark: “spring break:shark attack” and i was wondering if you and b-side had found any more of these tv movies/informercials to recap…let us know–that was absolutely hilarious

It’s Krasinski. I only correct because he was my brother’s best friend growing up. My hometown of Newton, MA represents big time on The Office (BK Novak as well).

    I <3 Angela. Dwight doesn’t know what he’s got.

Reminder to self, never use a less than symbol in comments, even if you are trying to make a cute heart ascii art.

What I was gonna say is that Angela rocks. Dwight doesn’t know what he has.
