They don’t have Oprah in Australia, so this is the first I’ve seen of this…wow. I mean, wow. I don’t know who to be more embarassed for, The Cruise, or the idiot women in Oprah’s audience who scream like wild monekys at anything that moves.

Oprah was acting goofy, too. She and Tom probably shared the same crack pipe.

I had the misfortune (?) of missing the show, but in watching this video, I see that Tom practically did assault her. She’s probably got bruises on her shoulders as a souvenir from Ol’ Tom.

I’m boycotting this nonsense. When did Tom Cruise begin robbing the cradle? What the hell is he thinking? And Oprah promotin’ this nonsense. It was one thing when she encouraged middle-aged women to get it on with men in their 30′s, but this is insupportable.

Oh. My. Damn. I have never seen a grown-ass man act like that before! Hell, I don’t think I’ve even seen a middle school boy act like that. Is the kitty-cat that good? Katie Holmes acted like she was way embarrased. I mean how long has he known her, like three weeks? Women always tell men to share their feelings more, be more demonstrative, etc. Well, if this is what a man acts like when he is “in love”, keep all that to yourself. Do that mess in private. It is possible to for a person to express that they are really into someone without jumping on a couch repeatedly. So weird.

Celebrities will do anything for publicity. Tom Cruise is doing anything to promote his movie. This reminds me of when the rumors that Demi Moore was pregnant with Ashton Kutcher’s child. That story came out the very same week that his latest movie was in the theaters. It’s always some sort of publicity scam. Both Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise have two blockbuster movies coming out in only a few weeks.

    Guys, hello,(excuse my english)
let’s just give Tom (human being in serious danger), a big break here. He deserve it. Still this dangerous church of scientology is so on him, I’m scare for Tom. I’ve read his bios, because I’m an actress and find his sucess amazing, I love his superb acting move from Eyes Wide Shut to Magnolia.
He is always very nice as I met him four times. He has flaws and it look like the world is discovering him.
Why on earth no one is here to help him? take Spielberg, kidman carreerist liar, Pollack, Russel Crowe, Pinket Smith, they are not into scientology; they can tell him he’s going in a bad way? No, they do not.
And his family is annoying , from his bastard vagabond and violent father, and his sister who don’t want the truly hapiness for her brother?
He get to fast a big big movie star.

And fuck Mimi Rogers! she is the niece of Hubbard! she grip him when he was very young, at the top gun, and suffer the lost of his father who return from nowhere to say: “hello again, I’m dying with cancer; wanna see me die?” (cynic)
they get into his brain so much I don’t know how he could leave it.
Think he is not allowed to take medications if he’s unhealthy.
As for Holmes, I dunno. He get sick with these people /US polls, so he was scare on Oprah and crack up; IT HAPPENS actually. Nobody’s perfect.

BTW, I find you here very rude, it’s a little disgusting! are you perfect or what???

unfortunately i did see the b.bush “interview” i say that b/c it was more of a cruise crack licking session. where cruise has gotten pretty good at running his mouth without really answering any questions. one quest. he asked about scientology tom began to answer, and billy was trying to add more to the quest. and tom just cut him off with some of his crazy laughing. i think people are prolly a little afraid of him. i mean look how good oprah was trying to make him look and he “mauled” her, imagine if he was actually mad at her. BOTH- interviews were really disturbing and i hope someone will set his ass straight.

Him jumping up and down on the couch confirmed this sham and made him look like he was on some serious “vitamins”. Brooke Shields needs to come out and smack some sense into him!

I’m soo disgusted with this publicity stunt and his crazy antics that the thought of paying $$ to see his or Katie’s movies this summer makes me sick. The Oprah show was pathetic. This whole thing is pathetic and I WAS a Tom Cruise fan. C’est la vie!

    Guten Tag —

Tom is right on target — psychiatry is rather unnecessary except for the most crazed portion of society. Only the most severely mentally-ill should be heavily medicated; 99% of the people on psychiatric drugs right now are being ripped-off, both financially and emotionally. They are simply being drained by a system seeking to exploit them —

But the drug companies make TONS of money so do you think they are going to tell you that you can solve MOST (not ALL) of your problems by becoming more physically, emotionally, and spiritually aware? No, no, NO WAY — and the individual psychiatrists get major kickbacks from the drug companies depending on the volume of the drugs that they prescribe from the particular company that is courting them. Yes, a wonderfully “healing” system we have here in America —

Does a 6 year old need extremely powerful mind-altering drugs to be “normal”? The answer is: HELL NO! And neither does a 20 or 30 or 40 or 50 year old — they need to fix their eating habits, exercise, flex their mental and emotional muscles, and become more spiritually aware (choose your own religion don’t just accept the status quo!) in order to become healthier, happier, more productive citizens. People need to be creative and active instead of passively sitting in front of their TV sets waiting for something exciting to happen, all the while wasting away both their intellectual capacity and their innate vivaciousness.

No wonder our society is so full of depressed people — eating shitty food all day long and sitting on your ass all plump and lazy doesn’t exactly leave one feeling excited and thrilled about life. It leaves one exhausted and bored and prone to neurosis of all kinds. And the cycle continues and will forever continue until they perish; over the years they become even worse, their bodies and minds toxic with the negativity of a superficial society obsessed with the surface — and they have bought in to it — they have been FORCED to buy in to it.

Mr. Cruise is just so full of vivacity, charisma, and life that ordinary (i.e. medicated) people resent that — they can only achieve such ecstatic and super-happy states under the influence of various chemicals and drugs. And even then it is forced; not real, aberrant and fleeting as the state has been falsely induced.

But Mr. Cruise has discovered how to tap into the most powerful “drugs” of all-time — the natural chemicals of the brain that surpass everything and anything some gray, bleak lab can come up with. In short, he is a person who has truly found “his Light.” People are a bit scared or creeped out by Mr. Cruise because in him you can glimpse a bit of the “Divine Spark” that is within ALL of us — it isn’t limited to movie stars or sports giants. He is no better than anyone else, it’s only that he has worked on himself in order to make it this far; though some of his success is surely due to good-luck. Nay, the “Divine Spark” is inborn and in my opinion the whole purpose of a human life is to try and find this part of us that is so sparkling and effervescent and positive and charismatic. The sad part is that so many people’s “Spark” just never reaches the surface¦covered up as it is by greed and drugs and ego and laziness and all of the other negative manifestations of a society gone awry.

Happiness breeds happiness breeds MORE happiness — find out for yourself, on your own, without the “help” of your beloved anti-depressants.

I am NOT some dumbass born-again Christian who goes around very fake-like trying to convert them to “Christ’s Way” — you all know who I’m talking about, those people with the creepy fake smiles. Nor am I a bizarre Scientologist claiming that mere vitamins will cure all of your worldly woes. But I really do want to help other people pull themselves out of this negative psychiatric pit before they get in too deep and are beyond help.

But you can only help yourself, yes you and you alone — it is your choice rather you want to keep on living like you are instead of facing life with the courage and vitality necessary to do and think and say great things.

    Take It Easy — tschuess!

    Adam

  59. 59
    Posted May 27, 2005 at 7:55 am

Ya, Barney was calling Ernest T. Bass (Howard Morris, the actor who played Bass, just passed away this week) a nut – but it applies to Tom as well.

Here he is a “young” famous movie star, and he can’t keep a woman. From red hot Mimi Rogers, to Nicole, to Penelope, to Katie – and whoever in between – women obviously do NOT want to spend a long time with him.

This must drive him crazy, so he’s in denial about his massive depression. In fact he’s acting so wild and wacky lately (why won’t he just SHUT UP, already?!) that he’d better PRAY that he’s gay!

Actually, I take that back – to call Cruise’s recent eratic behavior “gay” is to insult gays.

Conclusion: We’ll probably find his body floating in Lake Hudson next month. And the media mokes will all say “Gee, we don’t know what happened – he seemed so happy!”

    Adam,

You are talking out of your ass. You, Cruise, and every other “psychs are evil” cultist have no idea how doctors work. They do not dispense meds like candy, no matter how much you wish this fantasy to be true to justify your rants. Nor is every child put on meds. It’s a case by case situation. And courage, divine spark, or whatever other high-minded phrase you want to concoct does nothing to ease the pain of someone in need of clinical support. It’s like telling someone with a broken arm they can heal themselves just by thinking good thoughts and vitamins.

Cazimi360 and Nat need to go find a hole together….each other’s. It’s so sad when people are still under the false notion that physical medicine is more important than mental. Like Ken said above, next time you break your arm I would like the doctor to send you on your way with a pat on the back and tell you to take your vitamins, eat right, live right, and it will heal on its own. Sure it will! All twisted and potentially in a million pieces, but hey! That’s a minor detail. Heaven forbid, people need medication (not SweetTarts) to heal the breaks within their minds.

Good gods. Tom Cruise is trying SO HARD to act heterosexual it’s rather disgusting. And also prtetty damn sad. I feel very sorry for Ms. Holmes having agreed (for whatever reasons) to put up with this sham.

Is Cruise really fracking *INSANE* (driven that way by Sciewntology thought reform and mind control (“brainwashing”)), or is he merely pretending to be barking mad?

Eithjer way, Cruise needs to be medicated and watched. If he continues with the same behavior he has shown in the past year or so, I fear he will start actively injuring people and himself. He appears to belong in a padded cell.

To Cruise: a fine example of what happens to people when their are taken over by Scientology and Scientology Inc. Let him be a warning to everyone: if you purchase some Scientology, this could happen to you!!!

Cazimi360 – anyone who believes that Tom Cruise is a truly happy person full of vivacity is totally naive. Regardless of what anyone thinks of Scientology, it’s clear that he seems like a completely lost soul who somehow thinks he can fill the void in his life by converting others.

Anyway, I enjoy hearing the easy logic of “people who sit around and eat crappy food get depressed”. It’s that simplistic, uninformed, seemingly sensical thought process that makes things like racism thrive. Yay!

    Hey —

Most of you people didn’t read my post closely enough, typical of modern Americans who can barely read.

Goddamn, of course a positive attitude and vitamins isn’t going to cure a broken-arm or diabetes or AIDS anything like that — what I and Mr. Cruise are talking about is PSYCHIATRIC DRUGS, and those alone.

I am NOT talking about taking away people’s insulin or chemotherapy or medicines used to treat basically anything that is of PHYSICAL origin; I am solely referring to mind-altering drugs, drugs which are so powerful yet prescribed so routinely it is almost like giving a little kid some candy.

These medications are so over-prescribed it makes me sick and very sad — this America is a great nation with so much potential yet every time an American gets on one (or four) of these psych-drugs the national IQ dips another notch…and usually they are hit-and-miss. Many patients have to go through absurd “trials” as they call it, going on one drug, and then coming off of it when the side effects are too severe or it’s not “working.” I know people who have been put on dozens of various drugs trying to find the right combination as they like to call it, a “cocktail”…it’s a ghastly process and deeply disturbing.

But also, like I said, in very severe cases psychiatric drugs are perfectly acceptable; but 99 out of a 100 people truly have it within themselves to beat their depression without the help of these “sheep pills,” as I like to call them.

A good discussion, (lets try and keep it quasi-civil please!)

    Cazimi –
I think you could have clarified your original statement without the insulting remarks.
“…typical of modern Americans who can barely read”? And then you have the nerve to say, “…let’s try and keep it quasi-civil please!”?
I can see the point you’re making. I remember 15 years ago when many of these drugs were still brand new and watching my younger brother go from one to the next trying to find “the right combination” (as you said).
But I also know that I am not a doctor, and (more importantly) I am not the one with mental, emotional or psychological problems. I am not the one who has to make that choice (thank God) and I don’t criticize anyone who is placed in that position.
It is very easy for someone like Cruise (or probably even you) to say, “Hey all you need is a strong Spiritual belief.” The problem is that the last couple of generations (as a whole) have been denied a “Spiritual upbringing”. I don’t want to fall into the trap of sounding preachy here ’cause I hate it when other people do it… but I really think we made a wrong turn somewhere when we said we weren’t going to impose any religious beliefs on our children… that we would simply “let them decide” when they got older. The problem with that is no one has a base to draw from when they do get older. No one has an example to look at and say this works or doesn’t work for me.
Anyway, I guess I just wanted to say that you should probably wait until you have to deal with a situation before you criticize someone else about the way they choose to handle it.

Adam, your post makes total sense to those who aren’t themselves brainwashed by TV culture and bigbusiness pharmaceutical advertising. (I think deep down we all know that “brainwashing” is pervasive in many arenas, not just religion/sprituality) It seems to me that 85% of people on psych meds needn’t be on them. They do need some form of treatment though, definitely. Thanks for writing some sober thoughts.

*At the same time*, Tom Cruise himself looks to be at the height of a manic stage right now – as in Manic Depression. This is just a gut, intuitive feeling. Frankly, I hope my sense here is wrong, since everyone deserves to be happy and find their own peace and mode of personal expression (even a “hyperactive” one).

Cruise’s comments about Brooke Shield’s post-partum depression were completely inappropriate, yet not surprising.

The Church of Scientology has an anti-psychiatry exhibit entitled “Psychiatry Kills” on Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood (the organization that sponsors it goes by another name–it has “Human Rights” in its title).

Anyway, the mailing included profiles of “victims” of psychiatrists and prescription drugs–Judy Garland, Francis Farmer (who had a lobotomy)–and, get this, there is also mention of Nazi psychiatrists conducting experiments in concentration camps!

Scientology is against psychiatry because whether people want to believe it or not, the goal of psychiatric treatment is to stabilize an individual’s mental health–to discover the root of their problem (if one exists) and treat that problem through therapy and in some instances, medication.
A psychiatrist’s primary concern is his or her patient. When treatment is successful, an individual can then resume his or her life.

But Scientology doesn’t want its members to ever reach that point of stability — because their religion is all about teaching people how to take control of their lives. Unfortunately, in the process, they make its members dependent on the church (which is ironic, we are going to help you think for yourself, but to do that you need to keep them in their lives).

Do you have any idea how much $$ these celebrities are handing over to this church???

Anyone who believes that medically prescribed drugs do not have ANY benefits are absolutely off their rag. My brother is Schizophrenic and I can tell you, I have seen him off the drugs and on, and any sanctimonious bastard who tells me that he could just “believe” his illness away is utterly ignorant. Depression, schizophrenia, obsessive compulsive disorder, bi-polar disorder etc. are effectively treated with drugs every day. I would love to see Tom Cruise encounter someone like my brother, who has had a chance to live his life normally because of his prescribed drugs, and tell them to give them up and take their vitamins. These drugs give so many people, whose lives would otherwise revolve around their illnesses, a chance to live life normally, in an uncomplicated manner. How dare he criticize Brooke Shields the way he did? It was both grossly inappropriate, and nauseatingly sanctimonious. And I would prefer not to take any preaching from some schmuck with a ninth grade education thank you very much. Gee, ninth grade dropout crap actor, or a University educated medical doctor? Who to listen to?
And as for that clip, that was just embarrassing. I actually felt uncomfortable. I couldn’t finish it. The man is bending over backwards to prove that he doesn’t bend over forwards.

“It seems to me that 85% of people of psych meds needn’t be on them.”

So tell me… did it hurt when you pulled that number out of your ass?

If Tom Cruise found happiness through Scientology, good for him. But I have no patience for anyone who suggests that his way is the only way. Normally I try to respect a person’s beliefs, but Tom Cruise is an asshole. I find that people who speak in absolutes generally have no idea what the hell they’re talking about.

I spent almost ten years horribly depressed because I thought going to a psychiatrist was a sign of weakness. I tried everything I could think of (including reading “Dianetics” and speaking to Scientologists) to overcome my depression. It wasn’t until I seriously began to contemplate suicide that I finally went to a “doctor of the mind.”

The doctor never mentioned putting me on any kind of medication. After about three months I began to understand what my problems were. In less than a year I was a truly happy person with a handle on his emotions.

The “Church” of Scientology doesn’t want anything to do with you if you can’t pay for for its services. The only reason they call themselves a Church is because they want to claim tax-exempt status.

I think the only reason Tom Cruise is so into Scientology is because they broke him of his urge to suck dick.

Although our society may over prescribe meds–not everyone should be categorically defined in these terms. Definately not a woman who tried this hard to get pregnant…doesn’t that prove to the “little science boy” that there may be something to this whole “brain chemistry thing.” Mr. Cruise, be happy that your dyslexia turned out so well for you and just shut-up and sit down….please.

    Okko–

Psych drugs may have been recommended in Cruise’s case if his dyslexia was accompanied by other problems/behaviors. Many kids with undiagnosed or untreated (and I don’t necessarily mean meds–therapy and learning new ways to process info can be the most helpful) exhibit anxiety, depression (they think they’re dumb losers), OCD-like behaviors and other stuff that can seem like ADD or ADHD. However, I cannot imagine meds to treat dyslexia or what they would be. This is all just off the cuff and instinct, though–I haven’t done any research on dsylexia and meds. I’m basing this on my knowledge of psych disorders and (admittedly, vague) knowledge of learning disabilities.

If he was child when this medication was suggested, that would have been in what? the 1960′s or ’70′s, I think. I’m not sure how old he is. That is a long time ago as far as treatment for learning problems goes. Were educators and docs even really aware of dyslexia at that time? Anyone know?

The Oprah appearance was outrageous. Tommy boy obviously lives in a fantasy land as strange as Michael Jackson’s neverland. How long has it been rumored that Tom Cruise is gay? Remember years back when a gay porn star/male escort said in a published interview (I think in a gay magazine in Paris, France) that Tom Cruise was one of his former clients? Tom’s lawyers were all over that INSTANTLY and under threat of a ten million dollar libel lawsuit the male whore had a retraction printed. Obvious. Tom Cruise is a multi-million dollar brand name being sold to the movie-going public. Any suggestion that Tom is homosexual is cause for alarm amongst his Hollywood handlers. What an uttter bore it must be to have to go out on public fake dates with starlets he has no interest in, and to have to have fake marriages for appearance sake. Richard Chamberlain in his recent auto-biography “Shattered Love: a Memoir” finally tells the truth of how difficult living a lie like that is. Tom’s over the top screaming “I AM A HETEROSEXUAL” behavior is quite telling. The lady doth protest too much.

But then he lives behind the curtain of the church of scientology, which feed only on its own propaganda, we can’t expect him to get a clue about the real world. Now, as opposed to Cruise, Katie Holmes has all the information she needs to really learn what scientology is, it’s widely exposed on the internet, so if she still joins the cult without researching, well maybe she deserves the future she will get.

Anti-depressants are prescribed like candy. Like Ms. Shields, I was suffering from post-partum depression. I called my OB to make an appointment for treatment and know what they did? The advice nurse told me they would call in a prescription for an anti-depressant and then I was to come in for a visit in six weeks. They didn’t see me or ask me any questions, like was I nursing my baby. The “fix” was to put me on drugs. I was hesitant to go right to chemicals without trying to treat myself with other methods first.

Turns out my depression was being caused by sleep deprevation and all I needed was more sleep. After about one week of increased sleep (thanks hubby) I was my old self again. No, not every Mom who is depressed has depression caused by lack of sleep, but I bet I’m not the only out there who was affected this way. If drugs were used as the last line of defense instead of instant cure we all be a lot better off.

I have two friends, married to each other, who are on meds and I believe their problems are caused by their poor marriage. If they were to work on improving the marriage I know they would both be a lot happier. So now they eat their junk food (they don’t like fruits or veggies), turn on their TV, gain weight and lose energy and don’t communicate but it’s all OK because they are medicated to the point of numbness.

These are the cases in which drugs shouldn’t be the first option. Unfortunetly, these stories are far too common.

I hate to break it to you, pal, but the vast majority of psychological illnesses that have “mind-altering drugs” prescribed for them ARE a physical problem. Chemical imbalances, misfirings in the brain, etc. – These are not just fiction. There is plenty of well-documented medical research (not just studies of how people “feel” on med, but actual brain-imaging on and off medication) that very succinctly demonstrates this.

Yes, psychiatric ailments are overdiagnosed. In the managed-care world that we live in, health care professionals often don’t have the time or permission from the insurance companies to do the kind of in-depth study into each case that we would like. However, this does not mean that there are not people with a genuine problem that can be resolved with medication.

Yes, some people who report psychiatric problems can resolve them by non-chemical means. But, it is unfair to all of the people in the world who suffer every day with psychological illnesses that stem from physical causes to unilaterally say that they are just not trying hard enough.

Try to have a little understanding and compassion for your fellow man, hm?

It isn’t just psych drugs, other drugs are over-prescribed as well. When is the last time an M.D. asked anyone about diet or lifestyle? So Adam did have some points, but man, did he have to go and bash Christians? And then ask for a civil discussion to boot.

As someone who was burnt badly by a prescription drug, (followed by much reading on the topic), I do agree that there are ‘kickbacks’ for prescribing the flavor of the month drug (and there are a lot of new ones constantly coming out – very under-tested. FDA lets drug co’s do their own tests now. Fox and henhouse?). It’s not in cash form. But $1400 bottles of wine, cruises (no – not Tom LOL), trips to a ‘seminar’ in the Bahamas, etc. They even approach med students with free banquets full of food. It’s a multi billion dollar industry. So I’m actually not against this call to look at all this over-medication a little closer. (I Do not feel though, that it’s never appropriate and disagree that only one percent of people ever have to have psych drugs to get well. Sometimes the chemistry does need a jump-start.) I do think that meds-prescribing is often done in a lazy fashion. Especially since, in the past decade or so, drugs are rushed out and really under tested. I have also read of clinical trial data being suppressed. PBS website – one scientist was threatened with firing if he spoke up about animal deaths in a certain drug trial.

There are books by doctors talking about all this (secular books) – Death by Prescription, and Overdosed. The latter was written by an M.D. who was himself poisoned by a new class of antibiotic, called QUINOLONES. I also took a quinolone, much against my instinct but a Dr. had lied to me about a CAT Scan result being much worse than it was. I now feel my only prob was dehydration and worry. Anyway, he laughed when I asked about the side effects as I’d read a bit about it online first. He refused to give me a safer antibiotic.

Well MONTHS later I am still paying for it physically although very thankfully the mental side effects subsided. It can cause a type of ‘toxic psychosis’ – the stuff’s poison (imagine drinking sea water, or a bad acid trip). Now – it does work for some people as it should (so poeple tell me), but, everyone’s different. That it even CAN have this effect, to cripple people mentally and physically, it should only be Rx in life or death, last resort situations IMO. But, it isn’t. Doctors see it as harmless. That’s just ignorance.

It really is true that doctors get swag from drug co’s. Take note next visit how many clipboards, kleenex boxes etc. he has with drug names on them. It may not be a good sign. There is even a group of doctors refusing this stuff – http://www.nofreelunch.org Would that exist if bribes never happened?

I don’t know if it is the same with psych meds. But when I went in search of help w/the Cipro aftereffects, various M.D. shrinks wanted to put me on pills. I mean after a brief chat! I felt I could get things back in hand by willpower, and toughing it out and eventually I did. It was a few months of hell though, due to the extreme toxicity of the Cipro in my system. The worst part of all this is, people tend not to believe it’s even possible to be harmed by a Rx drug. Now THAT is brainwashing. Some people’s bodies do not metabolise these odd chemicals at all, and recognise it as the toxic foreign substance that it is. A small percent of people lack the liver enzyme to properly metabolise. (I tried to post some URLs but you can net search to find more info if curious). This is all backed up by lab research by the way, by an independent researcher. Quins can cause cellular changes, tissue necrosis, this is *in the Bayer info sheet*. Yet they’re Rx for common maladies, not life or death. Clearly – again I’m a fan of balance – the situation is out of whack. We ARE a pill-happy society and I have to agree, there’s a lot of legal drug-pushing going on, complete with ‘free samples’. Once you see the underbelly of it, it makes you feel repulsed.

So – he does have a point that needs hearing (Adam & Tom both) about the ‘knee jerk’ Rx of drugs when often it’s not needed or can even harm. (That anti depressants can cause suicide in some, has been written about since Prozac and other pills first came out). I’ve learned more about all this than I would’ve ever thought I wanted to know, since becoming a drug ‘victim’ myself. I do feel that for some things, drugs are necessary, such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, psychosis of some types etc. I’m not an expert but I do believe that sometimes people are born with a mental disorder the same way they can be born with a physical one – and for that, drugs can help alleviate symptoms if nothing else.

But the stats on how many routine Dr visits end in an Rx of some kind – Doctors have gotten lazy, and office visits WAY too short. How can they diagnose you in ten minutes?! In my case, I should have never been given something so strong as Cipro. They commonly give it out for UTIs, and it can cause tendon rupture, neuropathies and nervous breakdowns. People have even commited suicide after taking it. It’s a horrible, horrible drug. But I’ve read so many things since this happened to me, and it’s not the only one. You don’t even have to take a psych drug any more, to get psychological side effects or withdrawals from it. Read the fine print in a drug ad sometime – that stuff is from post marketing reports, not some badly done clinical trial.

All that aside – Adam, I felt you were rude. You didn’t need to bash Christians or anyone else to make your point. I don’t think anyone would’ve taken you for a fundamentalist anyway but you said “Christians” – I’m Catholic, and I resented it. Til then I was not in too much disagreement with you. Natalie, why did you also insult others to make your point? I don’t understand that.

There does need to be more education about the harmful effects and over prescribing of Rx drugs, but it should be a multi group effort, and secular too, just so the word gets out. Drugs can help but they can also do a LOT of harm, and Doctors are the last checkpoint. Well really YOU are, but, if a person is lied to how do they protect themselves? IF they’re in pain and their Dr. lies to them to get them to do what they want.

Tom does seem ‘manic’ to me in this clip. Nor do I feel this is how everyone would be if they weren’t eating junk food and watching Tv. I have known of many who were just really calm. Gypsy Boots comes to mind. And while I love creative people and admire Tom’s drive (which I know he’s had a long time – I know someone who knew him when he was about 17 and starting out), I also love the idea of balance. If this is being ‘clear’ I don’t think he will convince too many people it’s good. I do really admire one thing about him and that is that he honored his gifts. Not many people do that, and we’re all poorer for it.

I don’t agree w/the Scientology belief though, that handicapped (“tone scale 2″?) people are not worthwhile. That’s scary, especially as one who was crippled for some months by this poison & is still recovering. Falsely induced or not, it still gave me a good think about what it’s like when the spirit is strong but the body is weakened. So I Don’t like that type of snobbery. It can be dangerous. Remember the Nazi outlook on that! Round up ‘surplus’ and kill them. The Terri Schiavo case is another one that illustrates how Catholics and Scientologists disagree on the sanctity of ALL life. Also there was no way to KNOW she wanted to DIE especially that way (this is where I learned some of these things I’m saying about Scientology). Anyway…

Other than that, I actually hope that Scientologists actually add OTHER Types of Rx drugs to their ‘warning’ list of poisons, since many drugs of all types can now cause psychiatric side effects. By the way I am not seeing an M.D. shrink but a ‘therapist’ who is helping me a lot to deal with all this stuff. Especially since he’s Catholic and includes spirituality in the sessions or at least, doesn’t ban it. Most shrinks see religion as an illness.

Again I am not saying anyone should do this, that or the other. I’m not advocating removal of all drugs. But I do feel that there’s nothing wrong w/warnings, (not the type that we hav today in fine print and with no ‘teeth’ in it – but laws that patients MUST sign a pre-warned thingy, as with surgery – I bet drugs would not be Rx for any & everything any more). What can possibly be wrong with being informed?

I just do feel that full disclosure about possible side effects (not in tiny print but legislated a Dr. has to warn people of ALL of it), would do a lot of good. Doctors need to believe it’s possible, for a start. Especially when it’s in print from the drug co. (some drugs have even been pulled because *doctors do not read the warnigns* they know it will only happen to a few).

I also thought Tom was rude to Brooke Shields. If he wanted to offer her some help, he should’ve just told her which vitamins might help her, if that’s how he felt. Not insulted her career. What does that help?

What’s the fuss about folks? The guy looks genuinely happy and he is jumping up and down for joy, on a TV talk show, where guests (and the host) play to the audience anyway.

He’s happy, and using the energy to entertain the audience. What’s wrong with that?

Or do we actually think Oprah is a serious social occasion with rules of etiquette?

Why must he be gay? Because you think so? The whole relationship is probably a PR stunt on some level, but I dont understand why certain people think they know something about someone theyve never met simply by observing them.

No truly happy, integrated person lies about their homosexual orientation.

    Tom Cruise is obviously gay.

If not completely gay, and a liar, certainly repressedly gay.

Yet, no truly integrated person lies to the millions and millions of people about their sexual orientation.

And Oprah, pushing this bullshit on peole, also is not a happy person.

America itself is a throughly sad nation.

Tommy-boy never reached manhood and joined a cult that thrives on hate. Tommy-boy thinks if he recruits more stars it will make him feel better (a way of condoning his hatred). The rage he presents when he can’t control somebody is well-known. Both he and his cult are losing ground. Look into his eyes, he’s empty. After awhile the evil and hatred shows…you look and ACT like what you are.

By the way, he denied every having Dsylexia on Larry King. He tells so many lies he has forgotten what they are. That explains some of his long pauses when he’s asked a question. What a jerk he has become.

Absolutely right Slash. Scientology is the PERFECT cult for a homosexual Hollywood star because it acts as a crutch and convinces the affiant that they are good and ‘clear’ and problem free and in control when they are really repressing aspects of themselves they do not like.

And John, yikes you are so right, the INSANE sycophantic posturing of OPRAH and her cultish excitable (OH, DO YOU THINK SHE WILL GIVE US A CAR?) ladies-who-lunch audience is just too over the top for me, LEAPING to their feel and SQUEALING at every silly action of Tommy Boy. I missed the show, but I’ve seen a few seconds on TV of his behavior here and there. The video (on this site) above doesn’t work anymore (maybe later?), so I wish I was able to see it. I was a fan of Tom’s ever since he was in “Top Gun”. I said to myself when the credits were running, “I need to know this guy’s name. He’s going to be a big star”. I was right, but as the years have progressed, I’ve become pretty disgusted with his interviews and comments. He likes to add sarcasm when people ask him questions, and I sensed that he was doing it out of anger and just a plain “I’m better than you” attitude.

This whole Oprah episode showed what a liar he is, and it also has made me investigate the whole Scientology thing. It is one whacky religion. I realize you have to be brainwashed to believe the crazy stuff that Scientologists believe, so it is hard to tell whether the members are victims or the cause of this insanity.

I see a sincere, uninhibited and fearlessly honest person being senselessly skewered by people who, rather than exhibit a generous spirit and feel happy for the man, sourly spout that he MUST be “having mental problems.” Get a life, and if you’re lucky, it might be as fortunate as Tom’s life has been due to his candored passion.

SHIELDS MOCKS CRUISE AND HOLMES’ ROMANCE

Actress BROOKE SHIELDS and TOM CRUISE’s ongoing feud has intensified – after the star mocked the16 year age-gap between the actor and his new girlfriend KATIE HOLMES.

Cruise – who has helped people fight drug addictions through his controversial Scientology religion – recently attacked Shields for becoming dependant on anti-depressant Paxil, following the birth of her daughter ROWAN.

And Shields has continued her war of words against Cruise following his “dangerous” comments, by offering him a child ticket so he can take Holmes to see her in hit London musical CHICAGO.

She says, “If he wants to see Chicago, I’ve left him two tickets – one adult, one child.”

The actress recently took a swipe at Cruise’s religious beliefs, by saying she wouldn’t take advice from someone who devotes his life to aliens.

I am a religious person who is also a bisexual “bear” man (bear: big hairy gay/bi man).

Scientology is a huge money making cult using psychological metaphors instead of religious ones. Financially they will bleed you dry. I always felt sad that such wonderful actresses/actors like Kirstie Alley and John Travolta are hooked. Now Tom Cruise with his serious ADHD is trying to get Katie Holmes hooked. That poor girl, her heart has been played with and she will end up a mental, financial wreck…though I am sad to say that at least she can do the heroic thing and bring Tom and Scientology down with her.

Oh, BTW, most gay men are not “into” Tom Cruise. Queer men may have a physical reaction to a handsome guy, but some of us do have brains. And our brains are not dictated by Oprah and we can see how he is hurting Katie Holmes. Tom is more likely on our “piano falling from window death wish” list than our “Mr. Right or Mr. Right Now” list.

The Man is a gizzilionare, gorgous as a young man in his fourties, has been with some of the most beautiful women in hollywood, as either his girlfriends or wives. He is involved fully with his adopted children, has some kind of relasionship with his God, donates millions to charity and yes had a very harsh divorced upbringing. Yet he became determined to overcome it, Hes an adventurist, he takes risk, , he lives on the edge, which not right or wrong, its “his” life. I didnt see the show, but even if he went over board, even if he was a little nuts, even if hes gay, or having a midlife crisis.
Its more embarasing to see a typical example of how ignorent and cruel American fans can become (or people whom are to bored with thier own lives).
When thier doing well you say hes gay, crazy, blah, blah. When they are not doing well, you say ..you see……or something to that affect. I am not speaking to anyone spicifically, but If your going to be apart of the media society, is it possible to not be so hippocritical, rude, judgementive, crass, and downright machismo hairy chested bull@#$% about people either one of us even knows? It really does not show the best of American Culture, or international culture for that matter.
I do not know Tom Cruise, and yes I think he is a great actor, (which I beleive he got an academy award before, for fourth of july), one of the greatest leading men of his time, At fourty two he is “very good looking to millions of women”
an amazing youthful loving smile, and I would bet there were many envious men lapping up this whole thing about him beng made fun of, the second it happend. As if they all have been waiting to pounce on a man they dont know, could never be like, could never live an exciting life as, and who have no other reason to make fun of him other then sheer green envy. BTW, English is my second language and I do not know the english writing or grammer very well, anyone wants to comment rudly about it can do so, I dont pay attention to cut throat immature hateful remarks by “STRANGERS”.

Tom cruise and his antics, verses Spending the day with thouse who have been spiteful for absoultly no reason other then they have nothing more fufilling in thier own life to do, hummm ,lets see…..

Oprah you have brought so many healings, teachers, broken stories on life changing issues, changed modern T.V, women in T.V
So much for your race and so many others. I dont know about all the captilist stuff, but I am sure you who are with good spirit, and is aware what is best for your road. Again I dont know you and I do not have to to feel equal, but I would like to say..I think you are shucod lashee juivlee(a beautiful, good women) I personally think that nurses, fireman, service workers should be getting paid like the celebrities, but I do not blame the celebrities for that, I look to ourselves, that created this we now so blindly support….just to ripp apart. oh well..

I was diagnosed Bipolar 5 years ago. If it wasn’t for pharma-psychiatry, I might not be here. I am so DISGUSTED with Pope Cruise and the Church of Moronology! Finally, he let the world see who the “crazy” people REALLY are. People, if you feel the same as I do, join me in emailing Oprah’s producers on her homepage to have ALL of her proud Scientology friends that she regularly features (Travolta & Kelly Preston, Pope Cruise, Kristie Alley) and discuss it with her other friend, Dr. Phil. It would be a rating bonanza for her and a BADLY needed exposure of the TRUTH. Miss Winfrey is always talking about being true to yourself and seeking truth. I hope she will use her exposure to do just that on this issue. You would be surpised who believes in Scientology…Greta Van Sustren (FOX News), Issac Hayes, etc. Dr. Peter Breggin wrote an anti-Prozac book that was a best seller and NEVER mentioned that he is a Scientologist. Deception at it’s most blatant. People who need help should NOT be afraid to get it because of a stigma perpetuated by these people. Lives are at stake. Thank you so much!

It’s that simple. It just keeps happening. NO ONE acts that defensive about gay suggestions. Ricky Martin just laughs it off. If you are secure then who cares? Tom Cruise cares cos he is and is trying SO HARD to pretend he isn’t. Which is why he fucking sucks and should be smashed.
Carson and Kyan and the rest of the Fab Five are cool. Cos they are who they are. And don’t pretend otherwise. Tom Cruise is a gutless piece of shit who should be outed and fucking smashed cos he tries to insult everyone’s intelligence. Scientology is a fucking cult that tries to control how you think. DO NOT ever take any of their tests, not even for a joke. They will try and focus on what makes you feel bad and try and control you. They are seriously fucked up. DO NOT TRUST THEM! I love Science Fiction but L. Ron Hubbard, ( who created Scientology) took a bunch of his own made up ideas and thought it would be interesting to invent his own religion. Find out about Scientology for yourself, but YOURSELF and look at everything! Do NOT just take what They say as real. If you can think for yourself you will easily see that Scientology, though it may seem appealing, is actually dangerous and robs you of any individuality, or sense of self and is only, like most religions, intersted in promoting itself and the spread of itself.

Big Fag this Tom Cruise - Big Fat this Oprah
    Posted June 8, 2005 at 12:23 pm

    To TD of message 187,

Lets hope you are really who you say who you are and not a PR whore to defend these idiots in here.

    Lets start with Oprah…

She is an “inspiration” to the world. Fat ameriKKKan housewifes world that is.

While the United States is bombing YET another innocent nation, this woman has not used her “benevolent” nature to touch on the subject.

Because she is a VACUOUS hypocrite.

Who benefits financially with the status quo AS IT IS.

That’s why she puts a closeted fag to talk about LIES instead of REALITY.

    Now to Tom Cruise…

It would not be as bad as all this farce that he puts up if gay kids didn’t try to kill themselves in droves.

Instead of using his success to REALLY affect physical reality in a positive way, we have the same old same old of a rich prostitute playing the game to be even richer.

Tom Cruise is obviously gay. You can see it all through his fake, forced smile.

And it has nothing to do with “envy”.

    Envy is for shallow people.

Contempt is for people who see things as SAD as they REALLY are.

To defend this pathetic system is to be throughly decadent.

And I know you are one.

So you can shove your phoninness where Republicans shove FISTS of dominatrixes, even though they go to national television to preach against the “immorality of the homosexual lifestyle”.

THAT you don’t see the “wonderful” phony PROSTITUTED Oprah talking about…

    Nor Dr. Phil.

    Selfish trash.

I heard TC met KH at a scientology meeting/lesson/whatever they call them? He is definately “acting” like a schoolboy, that’s probably the effect of being in “love”, yet again, if Scientology gets you so “clear” why is it he seems to have such a difficult time finding personal happiness, he’s had a few marriages, and many “crazy in love, this is the one” public affairs. Scientology preys on the confused and lonely and keeps them from seeking real help for their problems, it holds celebrities up as examples of the heights they will reach if they take the courses(pay the fees) Celebs are drawn to it because, unlike many other religions (it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle then for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven), Scientology tells them it’s OK to be rich, to be successful and to have money and all it’s trappings, they like that! What TC and other celebs lose sight of is just because your rich, doesn’t mean your smart. They need to stop telling people what to do, remember your just an actor not a god, you don’t have all the answers and are unqualified to dispense medical advise, whether it be physical, mental, emotional or pharmacutical.

I loved the video B-Side!! The music was a good touch. I didn’t think too loud. I decided to read the comments below it and I laughed hysterically through most of them but a few people posted some alarming things:
“Adam” is clearly a product of espousing ideals he’s been saturated with. I got no problem with you believing anything you want man but live it ..don’t just recite it.
“Biga$$kicker” First off nice choice of names there. It really shows your true intent toward diplomacy. Your posts come from such a negative (and scary) place that even if you were on track with what you scream it’s drowned out by your hatred and self loathing. Interesting that you use the word faggot as many times as you do?? To quote an earlier clever poster’s quote “The lady doth protest too loudly” No doubt you’ll read that and only take from it that I called you a girl. I’m sure you’ll enrich our lives with your retort.
This scientology religion is scary. I remember being young and in a diff church and buying into everything I was told. Religion is such an influential part of someones life. We should be shown all of what’s out there and from that make up our minds. I don’t believe in preaching religion on the street corners to convert. People will convert based on the life and principles you live by. Let that be your sermon. Politics and social issues are the only things that should be taken to the streets.
One last note (sorry this is so long people!!!) “Adam” it’s great that your years of research have resulted in these stunning figures, ” 99 out of a 100 people truly have it within themselves to beat their depression without the help of these “sheep pills” ..as you like to call them.
You raise an excellent point Sir. My Uncle was diagnosed with Bi-Polar disorder in his late 20′s and would you believe the Quack Psych had the nerve to issue several mind altering drugs?? For two decades my uncle was a plateau of calmness. Never really that upset never really that happy. Not exactly the life of the party if you know what I mean! Well eventually he found God and a breakaway church similar to Christian Science and from those wise teachings and some deep soul searching of his own My Uncle realized he was a slave to these pills and not living a full life. He soon stopped taking his meds. You can imagine how much my family would have agreed with your research figures as we pulled his dead body out of the canal a month later..next time you have such “facts” presented to you make sure you aren’t just being the idiot you claim to want to save. It’s your mind people ..

I’m amazed at all the “poor Katie Holmes” sentiments posted here. I think she is just as much of a media whore as Cruise is — obviously she is going along with all this crazy shit. In fact, I read a blurb in the local paper here that she has been seen going to “tutoring sessions” for the “church” of Scientology. If she is that desperate for her star to rise, then there should be no pity for her. She’s old enough to know better. She should have stuck with Chris Klein — he’s the one I feel bad for. She dropped him after a five year relationship and turns around and is “in love” with Tom Cruise inside a few weeks. I take it back. I do pity her. She is deluded and sad.

Well I am laughing at many of these posts, so thank; but on a serious side I am a Registered Nurse who works with many womem experiencing PPD, and all I can say to Tom is that for many women medication is the responsible choice-properly monitered by a medical doctor. With continued care by a doctor and a Public Health Nurse such as myself a woman can work through this. It’s one thing to express an opinion such as that Tom Cruise is an irritating lunatic who’s face I really don’t want to see on the big screen this summer- and another to make a comment that one wants others to think is fact-such as his that Brooke Shields is irresponsible, as as for her career, I understand she is very successful in Chicago and is by the way raising a child in the meantime-pretty damn important I think,. And really was Collateral a great movie-I thought not, and don’t get me started on Mission Impossible, I couldn’t believe a sequel was made; speaking of meds I would have to be heavily medicated in order to see any Cruise movie again. But then I have never found him attractive so skipping his movies is not a hardship.AS for his appearance on Oprah-I remember what love is but believe me have never jumped on a couch over it unless my partner was there with me, and not in public…once could have been understandable, love can do strange things to a person , but he kept doing it; I think when he questions what a ‘chemical imbalance’ means, he needs to look back at his Oprah appearance and then perhaps he can see that that kind of looks like it right there.

Tom Cruise’s former wife, Nicole Kidman, was quoted after her marriage to Tom, that she never saw any evidence that he was gay.

I, for one, certainly hope he is NOT a full-fledged homosexual. He’d be as unhelpful to the gay community’s image as alien Anne Heche, crooked Governor McGreevey, phony plant Jeff Gannon, power corrupted J Edgar Hoover, and I’m-a-girl-inside Pete Townshend have been.

Scientology’s “bible,” Dianetics, briefly claims (or at least it did years ago when I read it), that homosexuality is a perversion, and that their methods could release one of their same-sex desires through therapy (that basically involves holding tin cans wired to a electric meter that supposedly detects where one has negative memories).

    Yeah. Uh, huh.

Cruise and his fellow poster boy, Travolta, and their “Church” have long insisted there is no cover-up of the two of them being homosexuals.

Yet, if Scientology were so great, then why do goobers like Tom Cruise and Lisa Marie Presley keep falling in love AND MARRYING people who are not Scientologists? Wouldn’t you think they’d want to spend the rest of their lives with another perfectly “clear” person such as themselves?

Back in the late 1980s, I was 19, and after reading Dianetics’ “scientific methodology and evidence,” I developed a curiosity about their claims. I was working at McDonald’s and looking for something better in life. So, I called the “Church of Scientology” and made an appointment to take a “Free Personality Test.” Well, in less than 10 minutes of talking to some young guy, they were asking me for a credit card – to which I told them I didn’t own one. So, they said my checking account number would do just fine!

Somehow, they did talk me into spending about $75 (a lot of money back then) on books that I “needed.” I went and got cash instead. Then, they sat me down with an “experienced” 12-year-old girl who tried to talk me through one of their pseudo-psychobabble “clearing” sessions. I got nothing out of it, and just pretended that I had so that I could leave their huge old mansion of an office. But, of course, as I tried to leave, they had to ask me at least twice more to buy stuff, and to make the commitment to come back. They switched friendly “counselors,” too. It was very much like being with bad car salesmen. I told them, “I’ll call you….”

Unfortunately, they had my phone number and address from their initial questionaire. They called me every week to pester me to come back. Eventually, I told them that I had read a bit more about them, their lust for money and a tax-exempt religious status, and about founder L. Ron Hubbard’s pitiful demise. “That was STUPID to go to a library,” the guy said. And then he berrated me for giving up and said I was brainwashing myself with a bunch of newspaper lies, blah, blah, blah. They still send letters and post cards to my old address almost 20 years later.

To be honest, it was the whole “we can cure gays” thing that bothered me. I knew that I was gay then, still a virgin, and completely not out to anyone. But I still felt inside, that there was (and is) no “cure” needed for being gay. “You are? Then you are.”

Anyhow, to anybody still reading my too long message, all I can say is that Scientology ain’t got no answers from what I can see. A bunch of self-justifying mumbo-jumbo in that book from a non-God-worshipping “church” that seems primarily targeted toward getting cash out of people’s pockets. I’ve pretty much decided that there probably is “something bigger” than what we can see, but these Dianetics ding-dongs don’t have any answers either. You’re better off talking with friends over dinner.

Honestly, old Tom doesn’t really interest me as far as actors go, but I kinda like that fat actress, and South Park’s Chef, and Bart Simpson – a funny bunch of actors. But I don’t really want to hear them blow BS about their Scientology beliefs anymore than I want to hear about rappers being blessed by Jeezus or athletes being blessed by the All Mighty Hollah.

So, Tom, go jump up and down. Punch your fists in the air. Be in love with Katie and be “cleared” of your “engrams.” Be covered-up in the closet or be the “real man” that every Oprah-worshiping housewife wants. Whatever.

Just … DON’T EVER BE GAY, Tom, please. By all means, be a happy hettro. We’ve had our fill of famous nutters who “come out” in front of the cameras because they feel the need to represent themselves as the perfect face of an All-American queer. Keep away!

Today, in Washington, DC, the Scientologists have moved their big townhouse office to an even bigger, salmon-colored stone mansion. And guess what… it’s located directly in the heart of the gay community between the gay bookstore and the gay leather shop! They don’t advertise “Personality Tests” anymore; now they do “Stress Tests.” And their favorite person to dangle out as a lure is a fresh-faced, preppy, young fella who could easily pass for gay. Go figure.

    To # 201-curious,

It just goes to show what an IMBECILIC MORON you are! You know absolutely nothing of what Scientology is, yet you ASS-U-ME, to be some kind of authority about it. Everything in your downright Evil and Suppressive post is not just meant to hurt Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes and Scientology, “WITH LIES” but all the people of the World that need and want, the amazing Technology of Scientology! If you claim what you say is true then you are either a former digruntled Scientologist “Squirrel” that came into Scientology basically as a “Plant”, to try and destroy it, never to get any personal help with your sick life! Or, you are connected to Evil people, who don’t want to see people happy and doing well in life! Or, you are so confused from all your Misunderstood Words, that you have gone by when reading anything, especially about Scientology! Which of course would cause all your sick confusions! I do hope enough people read this and see through your Evilness! Five percent of the world is made up of Insane People! Two and a half are Dangerously Insane! This is a lot of Insanity spread around on this Planet, and, is one of the main reasons the planet is so screwed up so badly! It might not seem like a lot, yet it is, especially when you consider the worlds population! Thank God it’s not more. The 80% of sane and able people on this planet, can and will do best with truth, for the betterment of EARTH. They will see through your Evilness and other’s. Notwithstanding, L.Ron Hubbard was an enough of an egalitarian person that, he still, left enough of a crack in the door for Evil Beings like you and your kind, to be able to go FREE! Even if you have to crawl on you evil bellies, begging and crying how sorry you are for the damage you have caused Scientology over the years, we will still give you that chance to go FREE!

About the only part of the Tom & Katie affair that would interest me is watching a self-serving, overpaid, believer-in-a-bullshit-religion celebrity implode right before our very eyes. Now that’s what I call reality t.v.! Cruise is making a total fool of himself. Now, maybe he wanted to portray being “a fool in love” in front of millions of people, and in that case at least no one can say that he is a bad actor. My problem with his behavior on Oprah is not the actual behavior itself, but the fact that he is “selling” bits of his personal life to promote his new movie. I respect celebrities’ right to privacy, but when people like Tom Cruise start prostituting their “private lives” for a bit of media attention, it just makes them all seem like hypocrits. I’m sick of Hollywood trash like Cruise and Holmes, Pitt and Jolie, and countless other celebrities who’ve shoved their mock romances down the public’s throat, dangling their carrots in front of the paparazzi. It just leads to tragic incidents like Princess Diana’s death, when it gets out of control. If it should ever come out about Cruise’s secret homosexual life, I think we’d start to see the real side of Tom Cruise, the recluse.

Hey Lisa, you sound like your on drugs yourself! You are very confused. First off, Scientology, is recognized by “The United States Supreme Court” as a Bonafide Religion, meaning, just in case you don’t understand, an “Authentic Religion!” Secondly and most importantly, we use the “Purification Rundown” Program, which has rehabilitated and saved millions of peoples lives! Whereas, the “psychiatric association” of the United States is trying to keep about “SIX MILLION” children in the United States “Schhol System” on irreversible brain damaging mind altering drugs! I bet you didn’t know that, did you, Mizz Lisa Raffaelli? Do you like our children and future generation being poisoned to the point where they are so dependent on these kind of drugs that they can “NEVER” come off of them without dying? Then all that we will have eventually, in this country at least, if not, the rest of the world, are a bunch of Zombies walking around, that will continue to feed the money machine of the “Psychiatrists” (AMA)! Mizz Raffaelli, do you have any children of your own? Do you have any relatives that have any or maybe just some friends, that just might have a child, and they are on these drugs? Would you or maybe you like the scenario that I have laid out for you to ponder, but not too long? Or, does you pococurante attitude leave you in such a confused and dismal frame of mind that you are more concerned where Tom Cruise went to school, or whether or not, if he’s a doctor? Well, Mizz R, let me give yooou a bit of advice! Tom Cruise and Scientology, (and it’s NOT just an opinion) know and understand more about drugs ,the human being, spirit and life then “ALL” the psychiatrists on this planet put together!!!!!! I know this is a bit too much for you and all your cohorts on this site to take, maybe you all could just dissapear? However, it’s true and,at least Tom Cruise and Scientology have made a big difference so far, in taking responsibility by fixing it up! You want to know what “scary really is?” It’s you and people like you! Spouting out your vicious lies, the pent-up harmful energy that sick minds like you and your kind have is very dangerous and should never be taken seriously! Who the hell are you anyway? To say, “you lost respcect for Tom Cruise, ha, ha, ha, that’s got to be the biggset joke of all! You don’t deserve respect for any sane person, let alone Tom Cruise! It’s people like you that hung innocent people at the steak during the infamous witch hunts! And to say that Scientology is a cult, lady you and all your mentally disturbed friends deserve to be burned at the steak. Your all like a incureable disease that only gets worse because you all want to just hate. You need to be cleansed. You can do that by clearing up your misunderstood words in you vocabulary and especially the ones pertaining to Scientology! Maybe you can all turn your Evil ways around? If not the least you can do is keep your sick Evil lies to yourselves!

Clearly you’re not familiar with the Separation of Church and State?? The founding pillar on which our Country was built. But seriously, stop peeing on our heads and telling us it’s raining. I want a bibliography from now on if you’re going to post “facts” ..I’ve gotta know where you get this shit!!
The people I tend to believe are closest to Godliness (or in your case some Alien named Shabazz or something)are the people that see everyone as equals and aspire to learn, and to teach. You need a role model son!!
And did you honestly call Tom Cruise one of the best actors of the past century?? Wow ..wow ..
If you want I’ll give you a free psycho-analysis real quick. Based solely on your postings I’d say you’re an introverted, self hating, lonely, borderline homosexual with sociopathic tendencies and a bit of a thing for your Mom. But that’s just the Freud in me coming out ..Hey, if I only minored in Psych does that make me just half-evil??
One last rhetorical question for you: What is the difference between your special “vitamins” and our prescription medicine?? Or is it all just placebo??

Hmmmm….AW. Is your behaviour indicative of what Scientology has done for you? You seem…out of control.

Your words have, all by themselves, dissauded me from wanting to ever consider Scientology as a valid source of calm, clearheaded and happy sensibility to live by.

    Good job!

    To Scavenger,

Your name is very becoming of you. You like to live off of other peoples sufferings, you “parasite!” You wouldn’t know truth if your life depended on! I’m out of control, ha, ha, don’t make me laugh. Actually, I couldn’t be much happier! What’s out is you, out of perception! I’m very happy to have pushed yours and all your friends (who posted here) buttons. What it all means is that I just duplicated you and all your friends insanity and turned it around on all of you. Just like looking in a mirror and seeing yourselves for the first time!!!!! It is disgusting. For me to speak that way, what else would I expect, just what happened. You all reacted! That’s how strong words can be, though they don’t have to. However, it probably wouldn’t make one bit of difference with most of you, what I said or did, you would still find something negative to say or do against Scienology! And, why is that? It’s very simple, whether you want to believe it or not. You do have many misunderstood words, especially in relation to Scientology! Also, you are the effect of all the BLACK PR about Scientology! Or you are connected to Evil suppressive people or that’s just what you are, Evil, and thrive on bad things happening to others. That’s it, take it for what it’s worth, and it’s worth more than you might ever find out about this lifetime!
But you can, so save yourselves! Prove to me you really are interested and worthy of a calm clearheaded and sensibility way of life to live by! Do let me know how!

    1. Hey AW, if you’re going to criticize the education system, you’d better learn how to spell it properly.

    2. Also: “their”, “they’re” and “there” are different words with different meanings. No, they can’t be used interchangably.

    3. Learn about paragraph structure. When you combine 40 sentences in a row, it comes across as blathering, inane and childish.

Or was this the effect you were going for?

Cruise is a very creepy guy. When he laughs during an interview his face scrunches up to the point where he looks like a rat and he begins cackling like a hyena.

He’s a terrible actor. Anyone that thinks differently on this, and this point only, is a moron. He should have quit after “Risky Business” and saved everyone the agony…

    Dear A.W.,

Ah, let me count the ways, “You do have many misunderstood words, especially in relation to Scientology.” What ..?? Did you actually just prove your own point against yourself again?? Oh, and you used scavenger’s name as part of your simile by calling him a “parasite”.
Technically a scavenger and a parasite are two completely diff things. A scavenger is a migratory animal living off of discards and remains. Whereas, a “parasite” (as you so eloquently put it)finds itself within the body of it’s usually living host. Of course you would know that if you’d studied just about any field of science!
Once again you see the irony in you, and your people, calling it Scientology! Exactly what field of science are you studying anyway? Alientology?? Arthur C. Clarkism?? I think you guys have been drinking to much of the punch ..
And that’s exactly what scares me about these opinions of yours. Usually it’s the people that speak the loudest that say the least. And man you’re screaming ..for attention I think. One thing you said that I’ve just thought about. You mentioned, in your own convoluted way with our language, that you’ve been using your potty mouth to elicit a response from all of us. And “just like you planned all along” we’ve responded. Well that sounds pretty Pavlovian to me ..are you sure you’re not a closet Psychologist?? Matter of fact I’m betting there’s a few things in that closet of yours.
I’ve learned that people can only bring out of us what we already have inside. So if these postings have brought this out of you than it ain’t us you should be concerned about mon frere ..Seriously Dr. Phil talked about the 13 signs of a potential Serial Killer and so far dude you’ve got like 5 of em’ ..Question: When you were younger did you harm animals?? You know, burn ants ..kick cats ..stuff like that??

AW, you do Scientology a disservice stating the words that you do:

“Hey Jakeeeeee boy! I’ll summarize my thoughts! You’re just a jealous looser! You would drink Tom Cruise’s piss in a second, if you could only get the chance!”

Really, if you are what you claim you are – a Scientologist – the above words really only shows what kind of crap your “religion” is.

    And then you proceed:

“If anyone is an oddly peculiar funny human that is especially disturbing, it’s you MOTHER FUCKER!!!!!!!!! How do you have the audacity to say things like that about Tom Cruise, and any one of you other “MAJOR ASSHOLES” out there that have posted your stupid inane comments about one of the best actors of this past Century!”

In my opnion, you are only trolling.

BUT, if you are being sincere, you don’t help your cause at all.

In fact, you damage it even further.

Like the closeted fag Tom Cruise does to the gay cause.

Wow!!!! It’s incredible, Tom Cruise is the highest paid actor on Earth. Is that really true? If it is dpeople most certainly are NOT getting their money’s worth.

As for Scientology being a bona-fide religion, well, who cares? All that really means is that they are tax exempt and that the Sea Org (Scientology) is free to rip off its own members without paying a dime of their profits to Uncle Sam. I beleive the Church of Satan is also a Bonafide church as well so you can figure out the rest (Note to self: start my own religion). FYI Tom Cruise and anyone else interested in how scary Scientology REALLY is should read a book called Messiah or Madman.

May the force be with you

    To 266,

Trust me I’m sincere. Don’t you just love the way you bring the best out in people? I would never say those things to anyone unless they brought me to that point, you know, like when you just like to tell someone to fuck off already. And that’s because that’s the only language they understand, just like you my friend! If anyone is damaging anything or anyone, it’s you! You keep destroying your chances of Scientology ever helping you by continually spreading vicious lies about it.
Plus to saying Tom Cruise is gay or hurting the gays, what kind of sick things are “trolling” around in your sick mind!!!? You have a lot to learn! There is no such word in the English language as “closeted!” what you mean is closet! And for you to call Tom Cruise a closet fag, well, what else could I say, but it takes a fag to know a fag! Good bye jerky.

    Hello Mr jj

So what Religion are you? It must have been difficult to choose one since most of the ones in America are cults. Ah, I figured it out! You must be Jewish. You have to be, you knew how to spell the word schmuck correctly! That makes you a bonafied “Putz Yanel.”
Therein lies part of your problem. You are still waiting for someone to come. You have a long wait my friend! The messiah, he’s done come and gone! And you’re standing there with your dick in your hand!
Now for your biggest problem. You actually listen to Dr.Phill. Oh please jj, give me a break. Someone with your intelligence, Dr.Phill??? Oh well, what can I say other than how psychiatry fucked you up! You have become a PSYCHIATRY SQUIRRELING SCIENTOLOGIST! I really feel sorry for you, you want to be a Scientologist so badly but you can’t be excepted on auditing lines.
However there are two solutions. One is: Go to any Scientology Church and ask to see an Ethics Officer. He will give you all the bulletins necessary to read that can pull you out of the mire you’re stuck in.
Two is: Just die. find a new body and start over again! I don’t think the choice is hard to make, do you?

    AW.

The above is a link to the Penthouse interview that Hubbard Jr. did relating to Scientology. He says scientology is black magic and that Hubbard Sr. tried to give his mother abortions. Hubbard Jr. was born after only 6 months due to a messed up abortion by Hubbard Sr. Hubbard Sr. goal was to make money. Scientology is obsessed with sex in order to frame the rich and famous. During ww2, the kgb used the files of the scientology to spy on people like Churchill etc. Hubbard Sr. was abusive and was a drug addict.

    It is an interesting story.
