It’s Tru. Court TV has new name.

Remember we told you back in March that Court TV was going to change its name? Now they’ve done it. Beginning January, the new name of Court TV is truTV. The idea is that they’ll be concentrating on “nonfiction” programming, which we’d have to guess wil be “tru.” Or “true.” Like The Truman Show. Which was fiction.

trutv.com.jpgThey’ll still be covering courtroom coverage from 9 am to 3 pm every day (funny, didn’t Court TV and OJ teach us that “truth” often the victim in the criminal justice system– but then, they’ll tell “true” stories, beginning with a Star Jones talk show (let’s hope it’s as “true” as her marriage)– but give us a break!!

Did some in-house advertising Schmendrick win a corner office and a key to the executive washroom for coming up with that? It sounds to us like a name that’ll last about as long as “Katie” Couric will stick it out in Dan Rather’s chair.C’mon, you guys. We realize the diehard hardline flirters over at the forums are boycotting the comments section here– but you’ve got to be able to do better than that!

    if they are going to keep the live Court proceedings, then what’s up with the name change?

    ugh

    I just HOPE this doesn’t mean they are going to be changing their other programming. Court TV is my favorite channel…I love Forensic Files, COPS, Beach Patrol, The Investigators…etc.

    seriously TB.. this has been a subject back at the forii…

    TypeKey is not working right for many (including me.. it will not forward after i make this comment here… i will have to backspace out and hope my comment posts… after i copy it just in case i have to come back and try to repost…. kinda frustrating actually).. so many have tried to figure it out, wrestle with it… and many have given up trying to post through TypeKey…..

    i just want you to understand that many Gasmii have had problems and it well advertised in the Forii and if you have any power to fix it and still want comments it might be a good thing for you to ride in a on white horse and fix TypeKey.

    I understand what you are saying……. and I guess no powerful entity ever gets away with mass overall approval… Bush—Clinton— peanutbutter– chocolate…. each have haters… so buck up TB and if something jumps out at me I will post a comment….not just smile and go on my way…. but seriously sometimes I don’t agree with the TB position….. and I don’t want to be ragged on either…I like Boston Rob… mucho and I really hate Rosie.. so I guess I could post that now….

    But I don’t know how the forii has stopped anyone from the ‘world’ from posting……
    the forii actually welcomes new peeps almost everyday……

    And can I just say I leave comments for Kronus and NEVER get a response from him…
    even when I ask for a response.
    Is Kronus a robot… ???Seriously… does he have a personality?

    Nightmare-face Star Jones and Court TV (truTV sounds like one of those frilly-silly women’s channels) were both products of the OJ Simpson circus and are both circling the drain now.
