Hey, if this American Idol thing doesn’t pan out, Sanjaya can always team up with his sister Shyamali and try out for Pop Dynasty, a new show CBS is producing with members of the Jackson family.

No, Michael and Janet aren’t on board–not yet anyway. But who needs them when you’ve got Jermaine, Tito and La Toya (who, as we predicted, made quite an impression with her stand-out performance on the CBS flop Armed & Famous)?CBS will produce at least eight episodes of the series that will hunt for the next Jacksons, Hanson, Osmonds, DiFranco Family, Hudson Brothers, Manson family or Carpenters.

Expect Michael to make at least a cameo appearance, Especially if Sanjaya gives it a go.
