As you may have heard, B-side and I were away this weekend for our five year college reunion. Therefore, some recaps are going to be late this week. I still plan on doing The 4400 and many people have been asking about other shows such as Treasure Hunters, So You Think You Can Dance and Making the Band 3 among others. The answer is that we are working on most of these (Treasure Hunters will be up today or tomorrow), so please bear with us. What I can say is that for those of you who are dying to talk about these shows and other favorites should check out the TVgasm Forums. We have threads on Treasure Hunters, Making the Band, The 4400, and Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-list, not to mention all of the interesting general topics to get you through your day at work including “What celebrity do you look like?” and “Look mom! I’m on TV!”. What better way to waste time than with other TVgasm readers?

And I just sent an email asking if you all were going to recap Treasure Hunters. It reminded me so much of the Amazing Race (especially the first season when they had hard clues) that I think CBS should sue. It’s definitely snark worthy material!

Is this show worth watching? I checked out the first 20 minutes or so but just couldn’t get into it. It seemed too glossy or overproduced or something, and the host’s comments seemed too rehearsed. The cellphone gimmick was also getting on my nerves, so I turned the channel. Of course, if devoted tvgasmers think it has viewing value, then I’ll have to check it out again.

I missed the first half hour so I am delighted there will be a recap to look forward to.

I loved the clues – and yes it’s very much like Amazing Race – even some of the music seems to have been borrowed from the Amazing Race songbook.

Treasure Hunters is awful, so I wouldn’t bother with a recap. Way, way overproduced and I was bored silly.

I thought it was alright…A little like The Amazing Race, but not nearly as good. I agree with bluebell…I was saying to myself that it was really overproduced. But what the hell, something new to watch.

yeah- it was pretty good. Not as good as TAR though. It might pick up when we have a chance to get to know the teams a little better. Laird has nothing on Phil though, packagewise or otherwise.

I’d like those two hours back that were wasted on TH.

Says alot about our goverment/military when the two teams from there didn’t even know basic morse code. Yeah Ex-CIA in their mid to late 30′s right and I have a bridge for sale.

wandernview: I believe they said something like “CIA Training Camp” or something. I bet that means they won a raffle and got to go to Langley for a weekend. But ex-CIA sounds better than current-Mildly Overweight Schlubs.
