NBC takes our advice for Friday Night Lights!

We told you Friday that NBC had decided to renew the much-loved but little-watched Friday Night Lights. Addressing the issue of the show’s changing timeslots, we mentioned:

“For some reason, there’s been no talk about running the damn show on Fridays!”

Dumb idea? Some thought so. But apparently, the execs at NBC took us seriously, as they showed today in unveiling the

NBC PRIMETIME SCHEDULE FOR FALL 2007-08:

FRIDAY

8-9 p.m. “1 vs 100″/”The Singing Bee”

9-10 p.m. “Las Vegas”

10-11 p.m. “Friday Night Lights”

Of course, that late Friday night slot will make it even harder for the revived Lights to find an audience and spell an early end to the dream.

And notice: No Apprentice, though NBC Entertainment boss Kevin Reilly claims it’s not dead and that “The show still has some kick in it.” And no Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip, which is officially cancelled. Reilly says, “The show had run its course.” That it did.

    England’s IT CROWD being developed for the US Market, but doesn’t have a spot (yet) in the NBC lineup.
