Yesterday was the premiere of Unan1mous the show Fox hails as a “social experiment” where a prize of $1,500,000 is available to whoever wins. The only catch is that everybody has to vote for the same person, and their possible prize goes down the longer they last in isolation. Unlike Big Brother, the players of Unan1mous don’t have any sense of how much time is passed because they are in a bunker without sun. I don’t know if the show is worth anything, but when they were announcing the contestants, I noticed that one named Jameson had a striking resemblance to a recently departed cast member of our favorite show. I don’t know if I’ll watch this show, but the surrogate Edgar may make things a lot easier.

I THOUGHT THE SAME THING!!!! Did anyone else think it was ridiculous that they showed like the outside of this huge mountain and like scanned down through the ground and like freakin magma layers like this bunker is in the core of the earth? Obviously it is in some stupid television studio. Does anyone know who the host is..at first i thought it was Seth Green

Not sure what his name is but I believe he used to host a kid’s game show. One of those like Double Dare.

The host is JD Roth. I guess Im one of the few people pathetic enough to remember him from his days as the cheesy game show host of the early 90s. He used to be a short buff guy who did kids game shows on sunday mornings, now he looks like a short jewy guy who has gone on to produce a lot of good TV including “The Biggest Loser” and “For Love or Money”

    MYL

I actually thought the host looked like he’d be Andy Dick’s brother!

-MariaBird522; HAHA! YES! That was another ‘WTF’ moment for me! Yeah, they built this bunker in the middle of the freaking Earth and that’s why everybody was sweating bullets.

I think this show will be so addicting! The people are so funny because they’re already freaking out!
One mentioned that there aren’t even any windows (which seems pretty common for being UNDERGROUND). Not the best show ever, but definitely not that bad. The minister lady is a little intense though.

“One mentioned that there aren’t even any windows (which seems pretty common for being UNDERGROUND).”

Uh, you do realize that they’re on a stage set like the Trump “Boardroom,” and not REALLY in an underground vault, don’t you?

This whole show felt incredibly bogus. I got the distinct feeling that not only was it entirely (poorly) scripted, but that it was performed by stunningly bad actors–the kind of people who used to be on those daytime court case re-enactments.

    Trite, predictable, and pathetic.

Totally, MLY, I loved him so much! He was the host of a kid’s game show called, I think, Fun House? I might have squeed when I saw him, even though he’s looking a big haggard.

I hope they start starving these fools. Or make them run on a treadmill for about 8 hours nonstop every morning, then turn on the sprinkers or something.

Isn’t the host also the host of the Discovery Kids show Endurance?

Did anybody see that “Dina Araz” was on Will & grace AND ER last night?
