Newlyvorced: For Real This Time

Miscellaneous TV

Nick and Jessica, stars of the MTV hit Newlyweds, have finally officially separated. Now we can breathe a sigh of relief as we no longer have to ponder “Are the rumors true? Are they splitsville? Do I have no life?”

I suppose this was inevitable. Young Hollywood can only have so many happily married couples, and with the recent engagement news of Talan Torriero and Kimberly Stewart, some other dumb-in-love twosome would have to crumble down. Full story here.

This actually makes me a little sad. With the way the tabloids have hounded them since day 1, I was hoping they’d actually stick it out and prove them all wrong.

Me too, tinkerbell. me too. Stupid tabloids. They probably stood a chance without everyone saying they didn’t.

Damn it, I’m pissed. For once, I swore the tabloids were WRONG! My sister kept telling me that the tabloids usually end up coming true eventually.

The whole Jessica saving her virginity for Nick made this Hollywood couple so different than others (AHEM- Britney). I really, really, really wanted it to last forever.

If Nick and Jessica can’t survive, who can?! LOL… I don’t care if I need to get a life. If this ends up being false, I’ll be soooo happy!!!

first the woman who invents stuffing dies today and now this?

    worst. thanksgiving. ever.

unless nick turns out to be a gay, then it’ll all be worthwhile.

I really need to start that death pool, and I should probably add a divorce pool as well.

Thumbs down for taking Jessica’s virginity and dumping her.

I guess it’s tough to be a Simpson.

The world’s ugliest dog died too, so it’s a sad day all around.

This isn’t about proving the tabloids (or anyone else) wrong. It’s about whoring out your marriage to the public to gain fame, and then not closing ranks and working on saving it when said fame becomes too overbearing.

Poor Jessica. She is surely thinking “Why couldn’t my family be Homer and Lisa instead of my creepy father and skanky Assley?”

Awww, this is sad. I wanted them to make it, too. They were so cute together! But you could kind of tell in the last season that it was getting rocky because Nick was acting like Jessica was getting on his last nerve and he kept talking about the lack of ass he was getting from Jessica. Plus Jessica got so much more popular than Nick, and you could tell it got under his skin. I think Nick should get a show on like on HGTV or DIY about home improvement or get on the “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” team. He was always laying sod or trying to fix a table or something on Newlyweds, and he was pretty good! Then maybe Nick could get success on his own terms in a post-boy band world. I think Jessica’s family is creepy and they meddle way too much in Jessica and Ashlee’s lives, which also didn’t help the situation.

OK, yeah, I liked them together, and I am a little sad for them…so what…I’m not ashamed of myself.

    Well, maybe a little…

On a lighter note, Happy Thankgiving to everyone out there in TVgasmland!

yes, happy thxgiving to all you americans. (we canadians have ours in october…we like that bc it gives us more time to prepare financially – and emotionally – for x-mas…but it sucks bc most of the good shows are american so we’re still bombarded with thxgiving specials more than a month after we’ve had our turkey…but i digress…)

i think jessica is beautiful and her voice is great too…but good Lord, could YOU live with that 24/7?!?!?!

i knew it was only a matter of time before nick would actually want to have even a semi-intelligent conversation with his spouse and semi-intelligent conversation is just not in Jessica’s repitoire (sp?).

Awwwwwww….so sad. But maybe now that it’s really over we won’t have to endure the endless specualtion by the tabloids.

Um, that engagement is off now, too.
