deadman yiddish

Sometimes we forget the fact that not everyone has the same televised options as we do here in the TVgasm offices. A recent tour of an assisted living facility revealed a curious bit of programming for the elderly: a special screening of Dead Man Walking. Now that’s just cruel. Way to kill the buzz after an afternoon of karaoke, socializing, and of course, “Hooray for Yiddish!”

Yeah, “Deadwood” would have been too obvious.
They tried showing the Sopranos, but too many complained they didn’t need another, “friggin’ opera show…”

“A recent tour of an assisted living facility?” Why don’t you just say you were visiting your grandmother? Who are you guys kidding in trying to be professional at this point? “recent tour” makes it sound like a perk for all tvgasm employees, the free tour at B-side’s grandma’s old folks’ home.

    And yet very funny.

You mean you don’t troll through random assisted living facilities, checkin’ out the eye candy? Now that’s a life unlived.

Hey, laugh it up… but by the time we’re in those homes and watching The Fast and the Furious LXXII with a decrepit and still-bald Vin Diesel, the preachy Tim Robbins flicks are going to look pretty good.
