This week, the women are all getting along for the first time since the show started. So, of course Karen has to make sure that does not last for very long.  She is still very stuck on this “Drita married my ex-boyfriend” thing. Now, she is saying that the problem isn’t that they are married, it’s that Drita downplayed how important the relationship was and has betrayed her. It all boils down to Karen needing to make sure that there is drama in every episode. So, if they are paying her for that, then she is doing a great job.

Renee gets a laser peel and ends up looking like the crypt keeper for a couple of scenes. Somehow, she is magically cured in time to get pissed off at Carla’s blurred faced boyfriend for saying something she found inappropriate. Since we didn’t hear what was said and Renee is an ultra dramatic drag queen, there’s no telling what the actual level of inappropriateness was.

It doesn’t matter, though. Renee drunkenly tells Carla that she can do better than that guy. And they are all set for next week’s hair pulling fight. Carla thinks Renee should mind her business. And, since her kids aren’t around, Carla actually seems animated in this episode.

Karen tells Drita that she isn’t sure how to resolve the issue of her feeling betrayed by Drita marrying Lee after Karen broke up with him. Her reasons for feeling betrayed keep changing. First, it’s because she married her ex. Then, it’s because Drita downplayed the relationship to everyone. Then, it’s because Drita never told Karen that she married Lee, she had to hear it from mutual friends. Whatever the case, it’s really just a reason to keep the drama going. I say that because it is quite clear that there is no love lost between Lee and Karen.

Drita was unaware that Karen had a problem until Karen came to her house and started talking shit about her husband and the father of her children. She does however say that there will be a major problem if Karen decides to make money by badmouthing Aleeya’s father. Which there really is no reason for Karen to badmouth Lee. Lee is creating his own bad press every time he opens his mouth on the phone.

So, we are left with a standoff between Karen and Drita. And, it looks like there is a straight division pitting Karen and Renee against Carla and Drita in the next episode.

I will say that I am getting more than a little irritated how the show keeps making us think there are going to be some fireworks only to have nothing really explosive happen. But, at least next week there will be some hair pulling. Dare I dream that someone throws a punch just to make things interesting?

If there were ever a situation where in which I had to choose between cheese and chocolate, cheese would win hands down. I spend my days writing blog posts for the multi-housing industry and my nights harshly judging people who appear on reality shows. If there is the odd weekend in which I am not working, or feeling smugly satisfied about my lack of my own reality show, I will build a blog for my friends. Then, I will spend the rest of my weekend conning other friends, family members, and general acquaintances to donate their talents to help out. I am shameless in my love of free stuff, blue humor, and great or even terrible fiction. I tell my friends that I watch reality shows to feel better about myself. In actuality, I watch them because I am vastly entertained by the things people will do to be famous. When Flipit asked me to join the TVGasm family, I was honored. When he said that I would be paid in Cheetos and M&M's, I was totally in.

    I am oddly transfixed by this show. I love Drita. On another note, has anyone seen a picture of Lee D’Avanzo? or am I the only dumbass obsessed with seeing what he looks like? At first I was just curious, but now that it appears there is not one published photo of him, it’s driving me craycray.

    I too would love to know what he looks like. I am also very curious about Karen’s baby daddy. Are there any photos of him out there?

    It looked like Carla’s husband might be hot in that picture they flashed! I was thinking, “Ya know, Carla’s right. Tax crimes aren’t real crimes!” Now it’s driving me crazy. I need TA KNOW!!

    Hah! @Sardini, I never got a good enough look at Carla’s husband. Now, I feel like I have to go back and re-watch. @Nikki Hughes, which one? Lee or David? I hope Lee is hot or at least has a big “loaf of bread.” Otherwise, Drita really has some ‘splainin to do.

    Karens baby daddy is in AZ.He help sell the X and got some time at the fun house .There must be a mug shot of him somewhere.Karens Brother has what looks like the Schiltz Beer bull tatt that is really cool.

    Me really liking renee in he first picture and I agree with Carla lying to people and taking there life savings is a victimless crime.I feel so bad for her.What a strong women to struggle against all the odds to raise such wonderful and well adjusted kids.Pray for her.
    PlathAddict you are doing such a great jobs on the recaps and mini recaps.I think you are very witty in your obsevations and writing keep up the great work.

    Love the show…so much Paisan drama. Renee is my fave. Did that fraxel hurt much, it looks so painful. I hear the results are fabulous with it. You gals are doing a great job of keeping us entertained. Long live the Mob wives !!! La Dolce Vita !!!

    I won’t get a boobjob either.
    It looks like it hurts too much. I guess I am just gonna have to age gracefully.:)
    They really need to get to the bottom of the Lee/Drita/Karen conflict…know why???

    @sheesh: You crack me up! Agree on the laser peel. The thing that was weirdest for me about it was that I didn’t really notice any difference in Renee’s skin after it healed up. It could have been the pound of make up she was wearing, but it looked like it did before to me. So, how could that possibly be worth the pain and the money?

    Dear lord – did you see the guy they met at the bar? It looked like he was going to puke when Renee said she was Graziano’s daughter. Probably not from fright but from “Aww damn, now I gotta put up with Junior”.

    And I can understand Karen being cheesed about the Lee thing if it just happened. Is she going to put every exboyfriend in the book and label him a scumbag. I want to know the story about that!
