Borat broke up Pamela Anderson’s marriage?

We’re duty-bound to pass this on for those who haven’t yet seen it:

If you’ve haven’t seen the movie Borat, it shouldn’t spoil anything to tell you that Sacha Baron Cohen’s character falls in love with Pamela Anderson and travels across America to find and marry her.

Now, in a wild twist proving that if life doesn’t imitate art, art sure messes with life once in awhile, our pal Richard Johnson and his crew at The New York Post’s Page Six report that Borat broke up Pamela Anderson’s brief marriage to Kid Rock!

This is worse than blaming the Kazakhstani for the Michael Richards racist rant!
Page Six says it all went downhill two weeks ago, when Universal Studio chief Ron Meyer screened Borat (featuring Pamela, right) at his Beverly Hills mansion for a group of friends including Pamela and Kid (aka Bob Richie).

“It was the first time Bob had seen the movie, and, well, he didn’t like it,” (Pamela’s) friend tells Page Six. “Bob started screaming at Pam, saying she had humiliated herself and telling her, ‘You’re nothing but a whore! You’re a slut! How could you do that movie?’ — in front of everyone. It was very embarrassing.

“Pam thought he could have a sense of humor about the movie. She was in on the gag from the very beginning… Ever since that night, it has been icicles between them.”

Hmmm… the Borat movie does show a few tame seconds of the honeymoon sex video Pam made with ex-husband (and Rock Star Supernova drummer!) Tommy Lee. It’s in the scene in which those drunken frat boys describe some of the sex action to Borat– which may have made the behatted newlywed Kid Rock a bit uncomfortable in front of the Hollywood suits.

But there’s a bigger lesson to be learned from this: If the head of Universal Pictures is inviting a schkeeve like Kid Rock to watch movies at his house, there’s hope for us all!
