Even ugly clothes don’t ruin gorgeous
It’s finally here! Finale time and not a millennium too soon!
The group is reeling from the all-around tongue lashing received from the judges on their collection sneak peeks. Some of the criticism was helpful and well-placed, some was too little too late, but all four of the designers are going to show at Mercedez Benz Fashion Week!
It’s a mix of Fashion and Thunderdome. Good luck models!
There is of course an additional outfit to design and more budget at Mood. Based on how little time they have I am worried this means more crap will be put out on top of an already crapfest runway show we’ve come to expect from the preview last week.
They can at least take comfort that it won’t be the absolute worst thing to happen on a runway
Designers are scared and uncertain and above all else, Chris is a giant bitch. He and Dmitry are sniping at each other’s collections, and both have valid points, but Chris just seems like a miserable ass. His little nonsensical rant about Tara daring to call a color Blood Orange showed a nasty side of him that I’ve suspected all along (Candy Challenge people, I saw it then). I’m hoping this new bad edit is a sign that they aren’t handing this season to him after all. To be sure, he is destined to at least pop up on an all-star season, but please don’t let him win!
Sour Grapes: the fruit I’d like to see in his immediate future
Unibrow on the other hand, seems to have taken the critique and been completely inspired by it. It still looks like lots of draped bedsheets to me but Tim Gunn and everyone is clucking and murmuring impressed noises so maybe he is on to something.
A trendy option for the nevernude
Tim serves them booze in the workroom and Chris is an asshole. I do understand that he is stressed and he seems to be seriously doubting whether his collection is up to par, but that is also a time when true colors come out. I’m concerned this focus on his panic could all be a bait and switch since he previewed the least impressive pieces of his collection and we’re all about to get punked!
From what I’ve seen it’s a very effective diet plan though
When the big day arrives there is some good backstage drama because of time and fittings and final panic moments. The room fills and I’m wondering if everyone in the audience sees every designer from a certain point in the season showing without any indication of who is really still in the running. That would be a fun show!
