She is not known to turn down a mimosa or a martini and finds the transition between the two a good way to mark the passing of time since she can never remember to wear a watch. Her secret love for reality tv and addiction to Bravo have drawn her like a moth to the glittering snark of TVGasm,  where she finds there are others like her... hopefully also nursing Bloody Marys.

Had I been there during all that collective workroom drama, I would have been somewhere in the background measuring and cutting, and basically not giving a shit.

Is it just me, or did Sonija’s design look like something you could have bought off the Target rack for $19.99?

This is the biggest group of drama queens Project Runway has ever had. Their reactions to people quitting was so over the top, it was like they were talking about committing suicide.

Great mini-cap! Looking for the forward to the full thing. :)

This episode was totally melodramatic. If people want to quit then let them quit! Is Lifetime pumping estrogen into the workroom’s water cooler or something?

I work at Target and i agree it is something like we have but it would cost $29.99 but it would not sell and it will be clearance in a month or two at 75% off. But alot of Kors stuff is very plan you can get knock offs at places like H&M. I don’t know why people were upset that two people left if it were me i would be happy but not two happy since the two people that left were not a threat to win anyway.

Oh, Buffi… sometimes I feel like the producers of the show meet a person, and say, “You’re in!” based on sheer visual impact. They mistake creative hair/ wardrobe for creative talent.
BTW, can you all lay off picking on Betsey Johnson? I’ve worked with her for 9 years, and I’ve never met a more humble, generous, and loveable person in my 20 years working in the garment industry (I’m a design director for one of her licenses). She’s amazingly creative, and a joy to work with. Also, if her clothes are so ugly, how is it she’s had a career spanning over 40 years, has made tons of $$$, and is respected & loved throughout the entire fashion world. I’ll pick on the contestants, b/c they’re the focus of the show, and this is a contest between them all. But leave Betsey alone! Oh shit, I sound like that crazypant dude who posted the video of himself sobbing about Britney Spears…
The contestant w/the ropes around his neck (I can’t remember his name) looks like some cross between Beaker the muppet, Bert the Sesame Street puppet, and the member of Kid ‘n Play that had the really tall hair. This is all not good. Just my opinion- if you’re going to Parsons for the runway show/ judging, it might be best to not have a rope around your neck. Don’t give Nina any ideas!

And THERE’s the reason we rarely see Kors smiling.

i was a christopher apologist last week, but man if he didn’t get on my last nerve this week. his aesthetic is not buffi’s, and his condescending ‘critique’ was just godawful.

i thought dmitri deserved the win-his dress was elegant and sexy and beautifully made.

This is the first episode of PR I’ve watched this season, but that lady Andrea looked way too much like a cross between True Blood’s Marnie and Wendy Pepper for my taste.

Christopher makes me want to hit him. His role is the victim. If you’re going to say things that are somewhat bitchy, then fine, own it! (I’ve been watching a lot of reality tv this summer) But I hate how he makes those wide “innocent” eyes and “poor me” remarks when the people he says stuff to get upset. I don’t feel sorry for you!!

How is it that Christoher has made it into his 20′s without learning that you DO NOT offer criticism or a critique unless the person asks for it? And sometimes not even then? Really? Did she ask him and they edited it out to make him look like an asshat?

And all the drama will not make up for lackluster designs though I suspect that the top 3 MUST have looked better in person. Not sure I understand the preponderence of grey though. Is it classier and more unexpected than black? And if so, when did that happen?

But I do have to agree with the assessment about Fabio. He has this wild but charming personal style and designs this incredibly mediocre clothing. I expected more from him. And yet with Buffi, it’s the opposite. I don’t want her wild garish style unless she can sew much better than it appears. Her skills apparently really aren’t up to this challenge. Sad, ’cause I liked her.

I’m happy for Sonjia and not just because she’s my pony – I think she has real talent.

Glad to see that PR is keeping up their quality and excellence in choosing judges. Hayden whats-her-name – really? Apparently the only qualification for being a judge is that you have seen clothing and sometimes wear it. And Rachel Roy? Does she have a contract that says she will be on each season? IMO, she’s no more qualified than the slew of actresses that they have on. Bet the actress has just been or is about to be on the cover of Marie Claire.

    And I LOVE B. Johnson.

@timsgunssister-i totally agree with your read of Christopher. i think by Buffi’s reaction it really did seem that she didn’t ask for any help. and i don’t think he would be as calm and accepting if someone did the same to him.

i actually like rachel roy as a judge. especially compared to hayden p. and ritter from last week. even if i don’t agree with the, i’d always much rather have someone from the fashion world than some actor of the week. i kind of wish she’d take over for kors, or bring back georgina chapman from the all-stars season.

The producers must have instructed the designers to gather ’round and wax worried and weepy about Grandma and Afrasian leaving, because I can’t imagine designers like Skunk, Elena, and Dmitri otherwise giving a shit.

Christopher needs to sack up or shut up. Stop being such a whiny bitch.

Now, are they “Vampire Bangs” or “Squiggy Bangs”?

    I say, Squiggy.

    Oh, yes, definitely Squiggy.

You know, I remember Elena complaining last episode about Buffi’s skill level not being ‘on par with hers’ and so she had to do most of the work but that’s such a common lament by these designers I paid it little heed. But, after seeing Buffi’s work on this challenge and realizing that she always makes this drapey thing to cover it up, I suspect Elena might have been right – looks like Buffi’s skills just aren’t there yet.

They all love to whine in the group or team challenges about so and so’s skill level being poor that it’s easy to blank out on that – I mean, according to Ven, every other designer is a talentless hack with no skills whatsoever.

I did love Rachel Roys comment about how she’d love to have Dmitry working for her in her sample room. Good thing she didn’t say that to him. Aspiring designers DO NOT want to spend all their time making another designers vision come to life. Many of them already work for another designer to make ends meet. Unfortunately, many of them, even if they have the talent, aren’t lucky enough to have all the immense financial backing it can take to get a line going. Lots of these folks have big backing from investors/family members – at least the ones from wealthy families. Who you are/know makes a huge difference in the beginning.

Was I the only person distracted by the big saggy bit in Sonjia’s dress under her model’s right tit? I was surprised the judges didn’t say anything about it. I thought Dmitry’s dress was the best.

I’m sad to see Buffi go, she was me favorite…. Person, that is, not so much design wise. I liked the top three and Demitri’s was the best. Rachel Roy was a good judge, she actually gave a really solid critique as compared to Kors who is just an ass (funny at times) but just an ass. And Nina needs to not make that nose wrinkly face, yikes.
