Caroline tells us she was “terrified” for Jacquee. Intensity, terror – wow, this reunion has it all and we’ve barely gotten started! She says that on the drive home from the fashion show, she heard sobs coming out of Jacquee’s gut. Jacquee manages to interrupt Caro’s dramatic monologue to squeak out that it was “everything coming to a head.”
Cue Ter to throw the first punch, as she does by telling Jacquee she should have come to the reunion to finish what she started. People start yelling, Andy asks Ter what she’s talking about, and Ter’s logic is that: 1) Jacquee knew something was going on and didn’t say anything, 2) Jacquee is to blame for the whole set-up, and 3) Jacquee is the reason Ter and Midge no longer speak. Pretty stupid, right? It’s also the exact same logic Caro & Crew are employing to blame Ter for the whole setup, but that of course is beside the point.
Not to these people though, as Jacquee insists she wasn’t the one who was in on the setup – it was Teresa “Prove it, bitch,” challenges Ter. Jacquee practically cheerfully tells Ter that she has a recording of one of Ter’s friends saying she was in on it, but it’s “apparently” illegal to play it. Recording your conversation with your enemy’s friend. That sounds like an excellent use of time and resources.
Andy is still trying to get an answer as to why Jacquee didn’t show last year. He asks her if she was afraid of Ter. “I think you know I’m never afraid to face anyone,” she replies haughtily. Ah, yes. Here ye, here ye, the valiant and honorable Jacquee. I think Jaquee was afraid – maybe not of Ter but of the fact that she was knee-deep in this you-know-what and about to get busted for it. She casually says she was having a nervous breakdown, like it was penciled in her schedule.
I had a hair appointment and 9, and the nervous breakdown all afternoon. I was booked.
Ter continues to yell that it’s Jaquee’s fault she no longer speaks to her family and then Melissa decides it’s time for her to be on display in this show so she interrupts Ter to tell her it’s not Jacquee’s fault. Over on the other couch, Jacquee is yelling about all she ever did was try to help Ter with family – I love how everyone who stuck their nose in where it didn’t belong is bragging about how much they helped the Gorgas reunite way back when…but when it comes down to how they’re no longer speaking now, all of the sudden everyone’s off looking the other way.
Jacquee asks Ter if she ever takes accountability for anything. As an answer, Ter again accuses Jacquee of setting her up – not just at the fashion show, but all season long. Jacquee says that Ter was the nervous one at the fashion show. Everyone jumps in to back Jacquee up. Kat especially – another one whose involvement consisted of the sole fact that she happened to be sitting there.
