Deepest apologies, Gasmii. I’ve been in a Nyquil haze on and off for the past week, and I just took some again. Please blame any incoherency in this recap on that.
Previously: RomCom + Grandpa + GBH = Total Dramzzzzzz. Latoya (correctly) suspected that Grandpa knocked up GBH. Captain Needy did bunches o’ drugs and booze until he eventually decided sobriety was the way to go… and then a girl gave him attention and that flew out the window like a cheating man’s clothes.
Currently, the roomies are partying it up at Carnival (still? Again? I don’t see Max so I’m guessing it’s again.) Grandpa wins RomCom a stuffed animal in a carnival game, so all is right within her world.
Before Captain Needy does a shot, Ginger makes sure to throw in a quick, half-hearted expression of concern so he can say he did his part. Then Needy asks for a bathroom. What a seemingly innocent question… little did he know what was to follow.
Chelsea (Grandpa’s GBH) calls the house and has Swift wake Grandpa up from cuddling with RomCom. She misses him and wishes he could come home for a day, but he can’t. For those of us at home, Mo’Rum repeats her and Latoya’s suspicion about Chelsea having a miscarriage or abortion.
Chelsea asks if Grandpa has had sex with RomCom since finding out, and he admits that he has. She FINALLY gets pissed enough to declare their relationship over and says she feels worse for RomCom than she does for herself. Her declaration of their relationship being done suddenly scares Grandpa, who asks her to come visit if he pays for her tickets. “It’s me and you,” he promises her.
After purchasing Chelsea’s plane ticket, Grandpa sits RomCom down to end things ‘for good.’ RomCom is predictably crushed, but her strongest words for Grandpa are that he led her on “a little bit,” and a request not to meet Chelsea. She then excuses herself and when Grandpa finds her curled up in a corner crying, even he’s like “seriously?” He then consoles her with “It’s true you fell way harder than I did, but that doesn’t mean I don’t care… This is ridiculous!” HOW does this charmer have 2 girls who want him so badly? She tells him to go away, which he happily does.
So, part of living rent-free in a mansion in paradise for several months is an agreement to random drug tests. During one of these, all of the roomies seem fine until… Captain Needy is asked in his confessional, via unseen producer, “is there a reason you have tested positive for coke?” You KNOW it’s serious when we can see or hear a producer in an episode. Those fuckers are NOT there to be polite, which means that shit has gotten real.
