Grandpa claims that he’s not going to make excuses. They go to a bar and he asks her to go home and dump the guy, but she says she can’t promise him that. Not because things with the guy are serious, but because her feelings towards him have changed. He says it makes him feel like they’re not a serious as he thought they were, to which she “duh”s at him that she felt that way too.
Back in her hotel room, Chelsea calls Grandpa out for claiming he wouldn’t hook up with RomCom after their situation and then promptly doing it again. She says she can’t trust him, and they still refuse to talk about their incident in detail but she’s pissed that he wasn’t there for her. She says she was dealing with it by herself while he was screwing around. He asks why she didn’t ask him to fly home, but she claims that’s what she meant when she kept telling him she needed him. She really yells at him, and it’s awesome. Then she tells him to go, which he does, albeit with a bit more sadness and reluctance than when RomCom said it earlier in the episode.
Mo’Rum and Latoya have finally found their way out of the woods, and take a moment to enjoy the view as they wait for Lee to pick them up in the boat. (Yes, they needed the boat just to get to this remote corner of their island for their hike.)
Question: How does Lee know where and when to pick them up?
Oh never mind, apparently they had to go find the boat. But was it just waiting for them? How did Grandpa get home? So many questions. Anyway, they take a moment to film a confessional congratulating themselves on a successful “camping trip,” according to Mo’Rum. Latoya is quick to correct her, and they’re both relieved that it didn’t turn into an accidental camping trip. I have to wonder whether or not the cameraman helped them get out.
The next day, Grandpa calls Chelsea and despite their fight, they decide to spend the day together. Grandpa says he’s “trying not to be selfish… that much,” whatever that is supposed to mean, so he wants to show her as much as he can while she’s there. They head out for a slightly awkward day on the town.
Captain Needy calls his dad to ask if he’ll be around later today so Needy can send him an email to vent about shit that’s pissing him off.
He may not understand how email works. It will still be there whenever your dad gets to it, dude.
Papa Needy asks if his son is getting kicked off, to which Needy says “potentially.” Pops asks if it’s drug related, and Needy says yes but still claims that he didn’t do anything. Pops encourages him to take responsibility if he made a mistake. Needy hangs up and then moves to a different couch to contemplate this for awhile.
