This week featured Part 2 of the Real Housewives of New Jersey – The Reunion. Here’s what happened – everybody yelled. I comprehended approximately 57% of what was said on those couches. The sound guy deserves a serious raise.
So what was there to yell about today? Well, in case you hadn’t heard, everyone’s mad at Teresa and they’ve all come armed with a bloodfeud. Mel’s got THE GOLDDIGGER COMMENT. Caro’s still on THE COOKBOOK. She’s also mad that Ter brought Dina on camera to take Ter’s side.
We hear a lot about how the reason behind all the bloodfeuds is that Ter thinks Mel and Kat went behind her back to get cast on RHONJ, which leads to – you guessed it – more yelling about who told who what and when.
The Rosie meltdown turns out to be a false alarm, thanks to Lauren Manzo who takes a break from sweating three pounds off in her leather dress and 19 pairs of spanx to talk Rosie down. You can just always count on a Manzo to ruin the fun. Sigh. We also relive the dramatic Rosie-coming-out story, which seems to interest Andy more than anyone else.
Ter tells us that Kat used to be homophobic, which judging by Rosie and Kat’s vague responses may or may not be so. Caro gets called a bully by the viewers and Andy. Jacquee continues to behave like a kindergartner, at one point even lying down for a little nap.
Melissa makes a lot of passionate declarations of what a victim she is. Ter vacillates between denying some stories, inventing other stories and telling Andy to “keep going” when the questions get too confusing.
Spell “bitch”.
Melissa. Keep going.
And then, the Brown Smurf makes a grudging appearance. He takes the heat for calling his wife a bad word at the vineyard, and then denies talking to some other ho on the phone. He would like us to believe it was his “pizza guy” on the other end of the line.
Then he defends himself against Jacquee’s accusations of cheating with someone at work, and the babysitter. I might be with Smurfy on this one – for the sheer fact that I find it impossible that there is anyone else on earth besides Teresa who would possibly have sex with him.

I can’t believe that was the best joe could come up with for an excuse even with months of prepping.
Mr Innocent had a shit eating grin on his face watching the clip of the phone call. All of these months he had to prepare his lies and he came up with the pizza guy? LOL, he is like an Ape flinging poo at the camera…and his wife!
Something tells me every single one of them have been cheated on by their husbands and that they’re aware of it, too. Old school, indeed.
When do these people go away ? I hope they continue to live their happy little world , one is an author , one is a great singer, one/two is a great cook, other one kids will cure cancer and one needs nap time and all there husbands have more money then a D Trump . What world do these people live in and what has made them so miserable? Love the recaps but can’t watch show

OMG! All these woman are just too friggin’ tiresome to watch. Tre and Mel are two sides of the same coin. They’re so jealous of each other. They’d rip each other’s eyes out if they wouldn’t get arrested for it.
Next week is going to be a lulu when they get to THE SET UP!
WTF is wrong with Jaqueee? Someone mentioned Kathy’s cosmetic surgery and she pointed to her own boobs and her lips to the camera. She got bored and like a petulant child looked at her shoes to telegraph that she thought this was beneath her. Then, when things really didn’t go her way, she decided to pretend to take a little nap as she often does. After her little nappy poo she seemed to have got a second wind and decided that it would be a good time to blabber on about the things she said earlier were out of bounds. What a nut case.
If her son has autism I can truly understand how difficult this must be for her. But acting like a 3yr old isn’t helping him. She needs to get her shit together and find out exactly where he falls in the autism spectrum and instead of expecting folks to feel sorry for her, she needs to do everything to empower her kid.

I can’t wait for your recap! Mostly because you manage to tease some semblance of sense out of this chaos, which I am finding darker and darker.
Teresa looked even worse on this part than the last and I just find myself wondering when she will ever gets to the point where she says “I’m not perfect, my marriage isn’t perfect. I have four small daughters, no education or revenue-generating skill and a crushing amount of reality coming down on my head from every direction, lay the fuck off me for one minute, please”
I get that denial is her schtick, but Ter is just not smart enough to come up with anything anyone is going to find compelling. She should have said to Cowaline, “the difference is I have been friends with Dina for years, she is the godmother of my daughter and why I was on the show to begin with. You made friends with people I told you were only here to do exactly what is happening now, and you still betrayed me and are sitting on that couch attacking me, just like they wanted.” If she was capable of that though, Cowaline and her greasy brood wouldn’t dare attack her in the first place.
I did really like how Lapband calmed Rosie. It was a glimmer of the common sense and kindness that people used to like about Cowaline. Before they got camera-hungry and smelled Ter’s guido blood in the water. It must smell a lot like prosciutto to get them to slobber at the mouth like that.
Jax said the reason she laid down in Napa was because she is over the drama,
then did it again… Can picture her doing this at home when she gets overwhelmed
by Nick’s issues… She also tweeted that Bravo gave her Xanax while filming because
she was getting stressed out at the reunion, appears to me she has more on her plate
then she can manage… She needs therapy not a life coach…
Poor CJ, daddy’s struggling to support the family, mama’s doing drugs & drinking and
baby brother is getting worse by the day, where does that leave CJ? Lost in this whole
mess and probably having to take on more responsibility then normal – sad…
I’m really annoyed that juicy wasn’t pressed more about his phone convo. The fact that that phone call was with some chick he’s bangin’ could not BE any more obvious, and his redic “pizza guy” explanation was accepted WAY to easily/soon for me. But I fucking LOVED Mellissa with her “peanut gallery” comment that was something like “I think it was the groaning that had people questioning it/you”. Touche, Mel. And if him calling tre a c*nt or whatever was something extremely out of character, as the couple claims, then my opinion is that that’s just one more thing that makes it appear he’s speaking to another woman. Why would he say something like that, with such a tone of disgust, to a random work associate during a business-based convo? That makes no sense. The only situation in which joe would stoop to saying such a nasty thing about his wife would have to be to a woman he’s having an affair with, in order to appear as if he’s miserable in his marriage and his wife is not a threat to said mistress. Case closed. Fucking Andy didn’t press him about his mischievious, slightly-lustfull tone and/or the groaning that followed. I hate you, Andy. Almost as much as I hate what juicy was wearing. Almost.

Here’s my thing with Melissa. The reason she comes off fake is because she is faking it. She doesn’t like Ter. She is trying to be cordial for her husband, and her kids. It’s hard to go back and accept some one who told your husband that you are a gold digger and if someone came around with more money she would leave. But if Melissa didn’t have to speak to Ter ever again in life, I’m sure Mel would be content.
If Brown Smurf has been reduced to appearing in the reunion show, he must not be able to pass a bad check or build a sub-code, three-family deathtrap anywhere in Jersey…

Next week should be the real fun with the husbands–I didnt see Albert and I guess the Manzo Boys weren’t invited to participate.

And we just know that the show continued filming after last years reunion—–these cool cats will be back for another season.
It was super cringe-inducing watching the interview with Joe. Clearly not a single person on that stage was believing a word of what he said.
Also cringe-worthy: the amount of information these women reveal about each other that was clearly shared in confidence often before this show ever began.
Jac looks like she’s on pills and booze. And if she had her son’s best interests at heart she would get those cameras out of her house and their life and focus on him and his needs. As Robin said, find out where he falls on the spectrum and go from there.

They seem to forget his drunk driving charge. Or his fraudulent driver’s license obtained when his own was taken from him. Or his fallling flat on his face and chipping a tooth as he tried to slide down the hallway in stocking feet while drunk. Or calling his wife a c*nt and a bitch on national t.v. Or leaving his tenants without power in one of his NJ apartments. Or telling Gia to STFU when she asked a question from the backseat of a car.
She can only be described as a sociopath consumed with her own narcissism and will stop at nothing to ensure the others “get it”. He can be described as a corrupt thug.
These two would be the neighbors from hell if their “fans” were forced to live next door yet the cries of “victim” are heard whenever Teresa is challenged for her lies and behavior.
What these two are doing to their own children through this show is far worse than declaring bankruptcy to the tune of 11 million dollars.

Joe is a troll. At least Milania has his number even if no one else in that family does. He’s disgusting and – quite frankly – if Teresa is willing to put up with it then so be it. I have no sympathy for women who allow themselves to be treated this way in the name of “love” and “the children”. She’s clearly the one making the money while he just continues his dishonest, lawbreaking, cheating ways – she should dump his greasy ass and move on. But she never will. And her girls will end up with similar men. THAT is the sad part.

My guess is Kat was probably about average homophobic back then for the times and her family’s ways. But having a relative they love come out’s 1 of the best roads to getting cured.

Some of these posters are the same ones who conferred Bethenny Frankel a “saint” and drove away anyone who dared say otherwise.
When Joe was talking about how much “c*nt” cost him, and Andy asked Tre her response was “a lot”. How come no one asked those two if that money might be put to better use paying back a couple of their creditors? Damn, I wish Andy would let a real person on the panel to ask the questions and follow up if necessary.
I thought Jac pretending to take a nap was funny. We were at the point of same old, same old. Her pointing to boobs and lips while Tre was trashing Kathy for her fake nose and lips was also funny. I’m just surprised she didn’t leap off the couch and point to Tre’s boobs also.
I get that Tre might not be the brightest bulb in the chandelier, but why does she have to come back everytime with the name calling? I know a lot of people who are not high on the IQ index, but that doesn’t make them mean. Her fake gagging about Richie’s yellow teeth, calling Caro an old hag, blubber, blubber, blubber, calling Jac out on having told her that Chris cheated on her, (and I believe Jac probably told Tre her husband cheated on her but meaning her first husband). I’m at the point where the next time she makes a snide remark about someone else’s physical attributes, I sincerely hope someone calls her cro-magnum woman.
And as much as everyone hates Caro, if I were in trouble, of all those women she is who I would want in my corner. Even when Tre marched over to the other couch, Caro was trying to talk her down and try to get her to listen. If everyone is saying the same thing, maybe you should at least listen. And you know damn well that Tre didn’t go back to her original couch ’cause she was accepting Kathy’s apology. She went back because Melissa was sitting in Tre’s spot and she didn’t like that.

Joe Gorga built that house as a spec house using a construction loan..they were never supposed to live in it. He had a huge balloon payment due last year and he barely made (i think he may have gotten an extension) so he knows he has to sell it or it’s going to drain him dry.
@mimo: I’m curious. Why do you believe when Teresa said that Jacqui told her Chris cheated that she meant Jacqui’s first husband? Is Chris having an affair (an Jacqui turning the other cheek so hard to believe?) Do you believe it’s out of character for Chris (who embezzled millions of dollars from his company and swindled clients and charities alike) to disrespect the sanctity of marriage? @lab-Juicy definitely can talk to a former “Spanish” Pizza guy, no doubt but where that part of the story falls down is when he was speaking Italian to the Spanish guy. Not saying the Spanish couldn’t speak both but there were more holes in that story than a block of Alpine Lace.
@sarcas- you bet your buttons Mel is fullof BS. I agree with what you said. Also, although we see the Joodichey kids slamming Melissa on screen we never see them being anything but loving to Antonia. So unless we got the edit business (which could happen) I don’t buy it.
Who knows…All those kids could grow up and grow closer once they realize that they are the pariahs of their schools b/c the other kid’s parents have warned them to stay away…not unlike Dilbert did to his kids friends.

Totally agree with whoever called out Melissa’s B.S. story about moving because of the kids. Tre is no doubt heinous but the only footage we’ve ever seen of the kids is of them being absolutely loving to Antonia, which is better than Milania treats her own sisters. Making up a story like that to cover up the fact that they have to move for financial reasons is exactly why I can’t stand Melissa. It’s very obvious that she hates Tre, and thats fine, I’m sure Tre has earned it, but she also is going out of her way to make sure everyone else hates Tre, from Joe G. to the viewers. From brining up the convo Tre had with Joe on camera, to blaming the obvious bravo set up on Tre, magazine covers bashing Tre, contacting Danielle with info on Tre, to now saying she’s moving because the kids will be mean to Antonia. I would almost respect her if she would come out and say “I hate her and I want everyone to see what I see.” But when she does all this and then says, ‘but I will continue turning the other cheek for my husband’ and puts on the innocent angel victim act (while whispering in his air to yell ‘shame’ to his sister), this is what I can’t take.
Also hated her little “i’m the victim” monologue. I’m completely open to the possibility that I may be proven wrong and one day may LOVE Melissa, but right now she just seems SO contrived, fake and calculating and that just happens to be one of the things I hate most in people.
I can say the same for Teresa as well. It drives me crazy when she continues to say “I love my brother,. . .and I love Melissa too”. clearly you can’t stand her and haven’t liked her since they got married. Just admit it! Tolerate eachother because obviously they have a family together and are not getting divorced anytime soon, but it’s like they’re playing a game of chicken where the first one to admit that they hate the other loses.
Strangely, Caroline is growing on me throughout the reunion. Prob because she dialed it back after being called a bully so much, but she’s coming off the best at the moment to me.
Teresa absolutely needs to get off reality TV but she never will while Melissa is still on the show.
@sarcasatire – I don’t have a clear definitive answer for you.
I don’t know anything about the embezzlement charges and stealing from clients and charities, etc. If that’s true, I’ll assume that state or federal charges will be coming. I know his business creditors have alleged he misused funds, but since he was an equal partner with his brother, I don’t necessarily know where the blame lies. Right now I don’t have enough information to make a judgment on that. My views could always change once more facts come out.
He just has always seemed like more of a stand up guy than the rest of them. One that genuinely seems to care for his wife and children. Jac has always come across as a victim and since she’s been so open with her ex having cheated on her, I don’t see her as covering up the sort of information that would generate even more sympathy for her.

also, I think the reason that Joe didn’t even bother to come up with a good cover is because Tre knows and has known for a while that Joe cheats. In some ‘old school’ immigrant families (my extended family included), that is the norm. I’ve seen many wives who sort of bury their head in the sand and say ‘well as long as he provides financially, treats me nicely, and doesn’t make it blatant (i.e. bringing the girlfriend around the kids or fam), then I won’t make a fuss about it.’ It’s sort of like willful ignorance, and ignorance is bliss. They reason that most men cheat, so better to stick with a guy who is atleast good in other ways (father, provider, partner) then trade down to something potentially worse, when they may be a cheater too. I’ve definitely left a cheating boyfriend but I”m not married so I cant judge this attitude in some married women. Marriage is long and tough.
I too, think that probably ALL the women on the panel have been cheated on and know it in some regard (and that’s in part why ALL of them overcompensate on camera with the ‘my hubby’s sex drive is insatiable’ stuff). It’s sad that instead of feeling solidarity with one another they instead choose to wield that information like ammo to shoot at the other women, like its somehow a failing on their parts, rather than on the parts of their husbands.
All I can say is Teresa has me totally convinced she does not hold grudges. Everything is all positive, moving forward, love and light in her world.

@Wills – I think it started sometime early this season. I don’t know that there was ever an explanation for it. I saw Tre & Joe on WWHL shortly after “the change” and they were teaching Andy how to say it. What is really hysterical is when Tre forgets and says “Jew-dice” and then quickly corrects herself to say “Jew-du-che”. My take is that they changed it to fuck with their creditors.
Oh My Farking God. Teresa’s blog is filled with “your so great everyone else sucks” tweets and then has them listed under what they said about the other housewives. What is wrong with her? She can’t compartmentalize that much can she?

Andy Cohen is cute, but he sucks at his job. Why didn’t he ask Teresa why she was begging Joe for sex in the vineyard, why didn’t he ask Joe why he was groaning, why didn’t he ask why they feel it’s ok to brag about money spent at the jewelry store when they have filed bankruptcy, why didn’t he ask Joe exactly what he does to “bring home his own bacon”?

Not loving Kathy’s new look. I don’t see a nice nose I just see a nose that’s been worked on. Hopefully she’ll let the lips deflate and stay out of the surgeon’s office. If they have that much money why don’t they just send her to private school? Wouldn’t that be less disruptive to the entire family?

I don’t think so. People with that much money would send their kids to private school wouldn’t you think? And I would have thought that Jebus Freak Melissa would be sending her kids to Catholic school. You know, to learn about Jebus and all.
My other problem with Jaq.
She didn’t show up last year because she was having a nervy breakdown and everyone was bothering her. This year she shows up while she has a sick child. Because of course that isn’t nervewracking at all.
I honestly gave her some credit at first, and figured that she might be there to shed light on Autism and was putting her big girl painties on beause she has a platform to help parents of autistic children. What a dumbass I was. Why did I expect anything from her?
She didn’t share any info, websites, mother to mother tips. Nothing. She wanted the sympathy from cast members, got it, then took a fucking nap instead of spending every min of her day researching and reading how she can help her Son.

Why does everyone seem to think Rosie is the cats meow?? (heck yes, I AM old!!!) I am happy for her coming out and feeling accepted and loved……but besides that she just comes across as some street thug.
She can’t seem to control herself at times…..I can understand her getting upset about anyone talking about her parents in a derogatory way but she just came across as a scary gorilla stomping around.

I guess what I am trying to point out is we can all comment and wax poetic until the sun rises and sets but we are not dealing with the Intellectual Elite anywhere in this cast…so take it all with a grain of salt.

Bitchlady – rich people do send their kids to public schools all the time. Just depends on where they reside.
Labowner – Of course rich people send their children to public schools all the time. But I would think that someone like Melissa would see a private school education is a status symbol and – as religious as Melissa appears to be – I’m surprised she wouldn’t insist on her children attending a Catholic school. Perhaps where you live those are public schools, but around here, any Catholic or religion based school is private. Clearly tuition wouldn’t be a problem with the money they supposedly have.
Even if Teresa’s kids go to Catholic school this does not change what they see and hear coming from their own dysfunctional home.
A home that was threatened by bankruptcy. A father who has been arrested multiple times for breakng the law is awaitng trial in another case. The same father who tells his kids to STFU and appears drunk quite often in front of them. The same father who calls the mother a bitch, whore and c*nt.
A mother who is determined to destroy her entire family for a shot of fame. Who belittles other women for their weight and looks. A woman who has tipped over a table in the presence and screaming “prostitution whore” at the top of her lungs. Who invited her husband to stick his fingers up her butt. Who discusses their sex life on national tv. The same woman shown chasing another woman into a parking lot yelling obsenities and threatening violence.
The same couple who insist on staying on tv and airing their shady lives and dirty linen all over the place.
Tell me how attending Catholic schools will have much impact on those kids who go home to this misery every day of their lives?
All private/religious schools have scholarships or sliding scale payments so there is no reason they can’t send their kids to one. But, I am thinking those schools might not want the stink that comes with the kids.

Katie – I think we were talking about Melissa’s kids, not Teresa’s, but as far as your other statements, I can’t speak for everyone else, but I was simply implying that:
1. Melissa seems very into status and some people believe private school is a status symbol
2. If they have that much money, then tuition shouldn’t be an issue. Unless they DON’T have enough money as they imply.
I think everyone would agree that there’s not a school on earth that could protect Teresa’s kids from what they see or hear at home. I wasn’t speaking to the education they would receive – mainly because I don’t believe a private school education is any better than a public school education.

Can’t speak for anyone else re the private school thing, but my initial point was about Melissa saying they are selling the house because she doesn’t want Tre’s kids to bully Antonia when they get to junior hs. My point was that it would be easier to send Antonia to a private school then to sell Mel’s ‘dream house’ and move(esp in this economy where they almost certainly wouldn’t be making a profit) simply so that they won’t be in the same school. Why not stay put and send Antonia to private school when she gets to junior high? And all of this is assuming a problem arises b/c as Melissa admitted, the kids all get along fine now.
I say all this to say, Melissa’s story about why they are selling the house is complete bullshit.
