Nick & Vanessa OK with naked sex act photos

Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo have taken the offensive in the brewing scandal over a collection of photos that should soon hit the Internet, showing the MTV couple in various nude sex act positions in a Mexican hot tub.

The jacuzzi pics were snapped by a privacy-intruding paparaazzo and are sure to add shading to the pair’s whitebread repution. So the cutiesie couple went to a safe place to have their say– OK! magazine, the US outpost of the Brit glossy that pays celebs to say whatever they want as long as they pose for (clothed) photos.

“Where’s the scandal?” Nick asks, agreeing with our take on the ruckus. “I was in Mexico with my girlfriend of a year, celebrating our anniversary on a private vacation. It’s not like I was caught with a Mexican hooker. We’ve all gone out and had a few too many and done something stupid. We’ve all made mistakes.”

Vanessa admits the photos were “embarrassing. But we did nothing wrong. I felt personally violated. If I was being disrespectful I would expect to be punished, but I wasn’t. It’s wrong.”

We’ll assume she felt violated by the photog, not Nick.

Anyway, Vanessa althrough threw in a bonus– an apology for that photo showing her holding a knife at Lindsay Lohan’s throat while sneakin a peak at her boobie. Seriously. See the photo and the Minnillo mea culpa… after the jump…

“When a photo like that gets more press than what you do, it’s sad,” Vanessa says. “It was a period of seconds, over a year ago. Yes, of course, it was bad judgment. Yes, of course I was embarrassed.”

Now, there’s only the wait for the sex photos.
