A sleepy neighborhood in Newark is suddenly beset by screeching tires and a SWAT team descends. They break in the door and by the time Quinn arrives it is all over. They find a guy with the right name, but the wrong face. Turns out this guy’s dad was the head of the security detail for Eileen when she was a kid. These days he’s just a sad, bearded music major who live with his parents.
“You don’t look like Chris Hansen”
Quinn lets Saul know that Eileen tricked them and Saul is baffled. He doesn’t understand what was in it for Eileen to go through this elaborate ruse, but I’m wondering if he will be finding her intact when he returns to the interrogation room.
“Oh, shit”
Saul rushes to the room, where apparently no one thought to take away the potentially harmful reading glasses he loaned her while she was hanging out unobserved all this time. She lies, dying, in Saul’s arms with her throat slit. She lets him know that spending a whoel day in a room with a window was the best last day she could hope for at this point.
“There is apparently no Make-a-Wish Foundation for terorrists”

It’s the next morning at the charity mansion and Brody approaches Dana outside. He tells her the two of them are going to Metro Police while Estes watches from afar. They leave and David Estes immediately calls Carrie to let her know that Brody is on the move. He warns that Brody is about to “blow this thing”. I imagine Estes knows the situation about the daughter if Mrs VP was telling the truth, so I’m not sure why he can’t just handle it?

Saul is brooding in the Command Center. Quinn tries to reassure him that Saul’s mistake was one anyone would make, but Saul is disappointed in himself and his instincts. Maybe losing his wife has taken his edge?

Brody and spawn pull up to a police station and Dana asks, “What is she doing here?”. I’m thinking it’s Mrs VP to save the day, but it’s Carrie! Brody talks to Carrie alone about how this is none of the CIA’s business, but apparently it is. If he alienates the VP he loses his usefulness and stream of information from Nazir’s camp. Dana joins them and basically feels the whole thing is being hushed up because of her father’s political ambitions.
“Dana, I am going to be your new mom”
Dana runs off and Brody tells Carrie “this is not OK”. I guess her attempt to make him feel he had a semblance of control is not really working. And it’s a little late to try kissing again.
“You are a terrible stepmom”

Agree…it has not been as interesting since Brody was uncovered as a spy. This past wk was much more exciting. I don’t want to give anything away but I am not sure what is going to happen. Apparently Brody will still be around. I am sure nothing will be resolved until next season.
