Hey all my Ladder 62 lovers. Without getting sued, let me just say that with the advent of advanced technologies in the digital recording world, so comes a laziness of sorts. Like for example, a laziness in believing that your Digital Recorder, whose manufacturer has been changed to BiBo to protect the innocent, will in fact record your favorite shows. Remember that newfangled contraption called the VCR? No matter what happened, you had to take the time to put a tape in the VCR if you wanted to catch the newest episode of Melrose Place, Angel, Cop Rock, etc.? However, now all you have to do is get a season pass to, say, Rescue Me, and you’ll be under the incorrect impression that the show will record 100% of the time. This is what happened to me with this week’s episode of Rescue Me. It recorded but only the last 35 minutes. So while I got to see the shocker of an ending, I missed the first half and will have to wait until tonight’s replay at 11 pm (ET) to catch the whole episode. The recap will be up over the weekend. Sorry for the delay!

It’s OK Umnata! We can wait another day or so for the recap. I need a little time to recover from the ending anyway.
I’m planning to upgrade from the VCR to DVR. I’m leaning toward “BiBo” over my cable company’s DVR service – but your comments scare me. Is it not reliable? Am I placing faith where I shouldn’t?
Blame you cable provider for putting the wrong times or delaying the show airing by 25 m, not the Bibo – they can only go by the digital timeslots provided by the cable company.
taxgirl – definitely go with the cable provider’s DVR. I’ve used them both and had way less problems with that one. Using the BiBo is completely out of my control.
stm007 – usually i’d be on the same page as you, but this was just a totally random glitch. there’s been plenty of times that my shows have stopped recording bc of cable provider’s schedule. but this time it just seemed that the BiBo revolted against me, because it hates me for recording Whistler.
Umnata, I must admit I missed you on your break. Having seen most of S1 and 2 after they aired in the US (also cut cut cut) how I loved reading your S3 recaps and vicariously enjoying the show but thanks to my “peers” I have recently seen all including ep11 WOW nice ending Leary/Tolan. Now, I want to hear your take on it….
