REVENGE Recap: Grief

Charlotte storms out of the room. I guess she liked my turn better, too!

At Emily’s house, Sam is laid out by the fire while Jack and Emily try to make him comfortable. They says things about how they expected him to live forever, and I can’t even bring myself to make the obvious snarky comments because this is so sad. Jack thanks Sam for teaching him about friendship and love and loyalty. Emily remembers Sam as a puppy playing on the beach.

MiniFaux and Declan return to the bar having unsuccessfully looked for Sammy. Of course, Mini is cold and wet, and OF COURSE, Declan finds some towels for her to dry off with so OF COURSE, this is next:

Charlotte freaks out and calls MiniFaux trashy and Declan fast, then flees.

Daniel accuses Victoria of putting her hatred of Conrad above he and Charlotte. Daniel tells Victoria that Conrad told him the whole story. Daniel tells her that if she goes through with her plan to destroy Conrad, she is dead to him.

Sammy dies. Emily embraces Jack and they both sob over the loss of their very dear friend.

AND IT FINALLY HAPPENS!!!!

Ashley is lurking in the background and sees Jack and Emily kissing.

Back at the grave where we began, Jack and Emily are burying Sam. Jack tells Emily that he always thought it would be Amanda there with him when Sam died, that he was the last part of her Jack was hanging on to. Emily tells Jack that maybe Sam was telling him it was time to let go. Jack says that maybe all the times Sam came to Emily he was trying to lead Jack to her. Emily is torn between her love for Jack and her need for Revenge.

CHOOSE JACK ND HAVE PORCELAIN SKINNED BABIES, YOU DUMB BIMBO!!!

Charlotte is making a drug buy. Victoria brings Daniel the evidence she stole from Conrad, telling him she will agree to back off Conrad. She says her loyalty to Daniel surpasses everything else, and I am beginning to wonder, along with some of you, if Daniel is really Dominik’s son.

Emily listens as Victoria hands over the evidence. Daniel calls Conrad and tells him he has the evidence in his briefcase. Victoria is listening outside the door.

Jack arrives home to tell Declan about Sam.

Emily is looking at pictures of Sam when she gets a call from Nolan. Emily thanks Nolan for stopping her from killing WHM. Emily tells Nolan that she is proud of him and that he is a good friend.

WHICH IS ALL HE EVER WANTED TO HEAR

Emily apologizes to Daniel and takes his briefcase as she leads him to bed. Nolan is watching the WHM when he realizes the clocks are wrong. Just then, he is attacked from behind.

BY THE WHITE HAIRED MAN

We are almost at the end, Gasmii! Despite having said three weeks ago that there were two episodes left, I am reading that the season will conclude next week, May 23rd. That explains why we didn’t see bloody Emily this week. It makes me believe even more that they threw together last week’s retro episode at the last minute in order to elongate the finale.

What do you think about this week, Gasmii? Whom should Emily choose? Did Victoria turn over ALL of the evidence? Is Lydia on Victoria’s side now? What will Ashley do with the information that Emily kissed Jack? What will WHM do to/with Nolan?

Speak! I will be soaking in a bath of aloe gel and waiting to hear what you think!

What I don’t understand is how a family like the Graysons don’t have their homes sweeped for bugs/cameras/etc. They claim they are as powerful as they think they are (plus they have the ego for it), they would definitely have it checked out. I knew a family that was extremely wealthy (and therefore rather powerful) and they had monthly sweeps of all their homes and cars. It was odd.

Sam dying was the first time I have actually felt anything except disgust watching this show. That was so freakin sad.

I thought Nolan had a bodyguard? Or was that just for one episode? I also think Victoria tampered with what she found in some way, why else would she wait outside the office door. And the look on her face alluded to the fact that she knew Daniel was going to call Conrad. She is setting Conrad up for a bigger fall.

SO glad this wasn’t the finale and we get more Revennnnge! I can’t get behind this new development with “The Initiative,” which will forever be a reminder of one of the worst Buffy plot lines. I do not need the government secretly fighting vampires on Revenge, thank you.

Definitely teared up when Sammy died and thought Emanda was about to spill who she really is to Jack. Obvs, Nolan is still alive. Even if he weren’t, I’m sure they’d find some way to bring him back. Also, wtf happened to his security guard? You’d think he’d EXTRA have one after that Tyler mess. Oh, rich people. You are not invincible. Get security.

@Carol, she looked so heartbroken when Daniel called his dad! Poor Vicky. Always trusting the wrong men and getting the right ones killed.

I was so hoping that Emanda would tell Jack who she really is. I mean come on, the dog knew, you’d think Jack would have figured it out by now!

S-Natch, you made me giggle with your swiss rolls and 50 pounds :) I know where that come from :) but I hear you sister, I have about 8 weeks to shed some weight before the MR comes home from deployment…and I can pretty much say, that shit ain’t gonna happen! I have been stuck in the house for a month now, due to my stupid ass falling down the stairs and spraining my ankle….!

I wonder who Emanda is beating the shit out of next week…I will predict the WHM cause you know Nolan got a 911 text out to her to come and save his ass!

PS, I liked scruffy Jack alot better then clean shaven Jack…jmo

I read that Declan is a current trending name for boys in the US. I wonder if this show has anything to do with that??? I am guessing so because I never heard of that name till this show came out. I like the name.

The things Jack was whispering to Sam as Sam died were so like what I said to my cat when he passed away last October, and what my husband said to his dog when he we lost the dog to cancer. It completely broke my heart…as did seeing Jack and Declan crying together. That was a very real moment.

On the other side is the revelation of this stupid Initiative. I don’t like the expansion of the conspiracy/crime and the new roster of criminals. It’s now getting X-Filesy, and that will guarantee me losing interest.

Man, that scene with Jack, Emily and Sam really got me. I started getting teary once Emily walked up on the porch and saw Sam lying there.

Are we sure that Nolan is ok? That was a creepy ending.

I like watching Victoria and Conrad getting their digs in. And I still want that chair she sits in.

@Carol…where I live there are an abundance of Declans and they were all born years before this show began. Might be a regional thing, more popular in some parts of the country than others. I figured they named the character Declan based on the name being popular, not the other way around.

Re Victoria’s kids–I think Conrad is shooting blanks. I would bet money that both her kids are the result of affairs with the artist and Amanda’s father.

I LOVE this show! I have been addicted since the first night. Each week it’s something new to make you think and try to figure out. This woman has been plotting for so many years-OH REVENGE is SWEET!!!!!!!!!!!!! With all of the stupid shows that are on TV, at least this one always has a surprise! I don’t think that Daniel is a Grayson either. That mother of his is just a nasty whore. What is up with Ashley? How does she know Emily-did it ever explain that? Also, what about the Kung Fu guy?

Nooooo Sammy! Like y’all, I just thought that scene was heartbreaking. Jack telling Sam that he was his best friend and taught him how to love…WAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!

Conrad said something to Lydia about marriage – “Third time’s a charm.” Who was his first wife?!?!?

    Emily + Nolan = BFF’S FO LIFE!!!

I hate Ashley. I hate her and I wish they would kill her off the show.

I don’t think Daniel is a double agent. I think we will find out he is as ruthless as the rest of the Graysons.

I want Jack and Emily to be together so bad.
