IT’S THE SEASON FINALE, Y’ALL!!
Well, Gasmii, this is IT. The season finale of Revenge is upon us after 22 episodes. Many of you are expressing a well-based concern that, not unlike Happy Days, Revenge is about to jump the shark (for origins of the term, click here) with this “vast right wing conspiracy” development. Let’s hope not. For now, however, let’s get our Reckoning on, shall we?
I MEAN, LIKE FOR REALZ – WHO DOESN’T SKI IN A LEATHER JACKET??
Emily is screaming for Daniel because – egads – “a man” was in their house and has ransacked it whilst Emily and Daniel made sweet, sweet love. Daniel discovers that the evidence that Victoria took from Conrad is missing. Emily describes the WHM as the one who was in the house and goes to call the police but Daniel stops her. He claims to be too traumatized from the trial for the police and he wants to let Conrad’s private security team handle the robbery.
At Grayson Global, Daniel is describing the man to Conrad, and Conrad confirms that it is, indeed, the WHM. Conrad shows Daniel the video that Emily WHM sent of Daniel and Emily sleeping. Daniel asks if WHM getting the evidence was better than the Feds having it, but Conrad says it was the only protection he had against “The Initiative,” and now he is a
DEAD MAN WALKING
Emily is trying to look at the files she stole from Daniel’s briefcase and can’t get into them, so she is calling Nolan who, of course, isn’t answering because he may, in fact, be an ACTUAL dead man.
Jack looks lovingly at the million dollar check Daniel wrote him to keep quiet.
Emily is at Nolan’s house as Jack is calling her to talk about the night before wherein they shared a passionate kiss. Emily sees that Nolan’s door is open and there is a note on his laptop.
She calls the number and a chair is pulled away from the video screen, and WHM answers, Nolan chained up in the background. Emily tells WHM that she is Amanda Clarke and she is the one the WHM wants, not Nolan. She tells him that she knows WHM murdered her father and wants to finish things face-to-face.
Conrad storms into Grayson Manor with his security team and tells them they have carte blanche to search the place. Victoria, terrified they will discover her collection of “Just for Her” KY Jelly and stack of On Our Backs magazines, orders Conrad to call off the prying eyes. Conrad tells her to shut up and sit down because The Initiative has the evidence. The team finds Emily’s bugs and Victoria and Conrad are convinced that they were placed by The Initiative.
Daniel is searching the bookshelf that contains the oh-so-clever Orwellian disguised camera and discovers it. He calls Emily and tells her they need to go to Manhattan. She agrees just as the WHM pulls up to meet her.
Emily allows WHM to frisk her. She tells WHM that she has Conrad’s evidence that implicates both he and The Initiative in perpetrating terrorism on US soil. She demands to be taken to Nolan. WHM steals a line from the BEST MOVIE EVER IN THE HISTORY OF MOVIES –
AS YOU WISH (you’re welcome for the picture, Gasmii!)
Emily chloroforms herself at WHM’s insistence and dreams of a time when a bird flies into the door of the Hamptons house and gets injured. She wakes up to this:
WHM gets out a lot of evil looking implements (but not as evil as The Machine) with the intention of getting Emily to talk about Conrad’s evidence. WHM tells Emily that if she talks he may let Nolan live. Emily responds that Nolan does not concern her.
