What was this about? Fabulous outfits? OK!
If you’re going to have a show called Revenge, it sure as hell better have ruthless characters fighting tooth and nail to win. It seems that the characters this season have been a little too tame for REVENGE – a little too concerned with facts and figures, rather than sex and blood (ew, sorry for that). But in the mid-season finale (because that’s a thing now), just about everyone got down and dirty. Some very down and very dirty.
Without a doubt, the power player was Daniel. He was both the winner and the loser of the episode. He became CEO of Grayson Global, gained 51% of NolCorp, dispensed of Ashley, became the pawn of the Initiative, and capped it all off by making himself a drink. Oh Daniel, you’re a rookie in the game of Revenge – a rookie with beginner’s luck.
As for Emily, she continued to become – gulp – human. Her relationship with Aiden is intact and she even began to question whether they could be happy together. Her face at the baptism was pretty telling. Emotions, what a concept!

Aww…
What did you guys think of Revelations? Were you happy to see Ashley go down (ahem!)? Do we collectively despise Marco, even though he makes Nolan’s storyline more interesting? Has the Initiative finally become a vital part of the story? Did the Stowaway plot become a little bit better? How excited are you about the concept of Emily and Victoria joining forces?

that’s what ashley gets by trying to be all special in that smoked coral dress when she should have been wearing browns and beiges.
oh, and i’m so glad i’ll be leaving the country in a couple of weeks and be back the same day the show returns. the wait will feel shorter!
The Initiative reminds me of the opening of Zoolander, with all the powerful designers in the dark room. Possibly also of Nick Fury. Anyway, I love how much power is attributed to them when actually we’ve seen them do next to nothing. In my head, the Initiative is a Greyson hallucination to cope with the fact that Emily is constantly beating them at their own game.
now that emily and aiden’s plan has failed, i think she’ll have to get back together with daniel to get close to the initiative – which means aiden will have to be out of the picture, at least for awhile. love aiden but can’t wait to see how twisted this gets..
