Revolution Ep 4 Recap Auntie Em! Auntie Em!

Episode 4 already?  Here is what we know:

The Militia shot up the Olive Garden
Miles escaped Jeremy’s (Jacob) clutches
Aaron used to get wedgies, which in my opinion was a given]
Dr. Mom has kids
Miles met Jeremy after The Ghost Hunters beat his butt
Nora has a vendetta against the Militia because of the child she lost
And… Miles started the Militia

The episode opens with Charlie running from someone.  Her hair is all flowing behind her like she’s starring in a Maxi Pad commercial.

The darn thing has got WINGS!!!

The person chasing her, catches her and tackles her to the ground.

Turns out this isn’t a maxi pad commercial

He is about to stab her, when, and hold onto your hats… Miles intervenes and tackles the Militia dude and says “My name is Miles Matheson and I’m an alcoholic.”  Whooops, wrong show.  He says “My name is Miles Matheson and all the stories are true.”

One ass kicking coming up

The Militia dude is in awe of the great Miles Matheson.  Miles asks the dude if he knows Neville and if he saw him recently and if he had a prisoner with him?

The Dude tells Miles, Yes, he knows and saw Neville with a 19 yr old blonde boy, dumb expression and vacant eyes (ok, I added that part).  It was yesterday and they were headed to Noblesville.  Miles thanks him for the info and then knocks him out.

Charlie wants to know What stories are true?  Why is everyone we meet afraid of you or wants to capture and/or kill you?  She doesn’t even KNOW Miles or what she is walking into moment to moment.  Miles is like “Can it”  She tells her that none of it is her business and she needs to stop or he will leave.  Blah, blah, blah,  she’ll just follow you so stop making these idle threats.

Looks like someone forgot to get a wake-up call

Dr. Mom and Aaron are waiting for Miles and Charlie at the previously slated meeting point in Lowell, Indiana.  Dr. Mom has a flashback to before the B.O.  She is skyping with her kids.

Apparently Seattle and the UK are in the same timezone

She is in Seattle (evening) and the kids are in England in the evening.  The Nanny tells Dr. Mom that the kids wouldn’t go to bed before talking to her.  (Ugh, I hate when people don’t look at a script and be like… this doesn’t really work.  Apparently my British sister in law wrote this script and didn’t take into account the time difference.  (as is evidence by the number of 4am phone calls we receive.))  Anyhoooo, Dr. Mom is on a business trip (we assume) and the kids want her to read them a bedtime story – at 5am- just one chapter from the Wizard of Oz.  She says no, gruffly, and the power suddenly goes out.

Bloody hell!!

I am glad someone else feels this way about this show. Wonderful recap. I agree, it would have been a much better twist to kill off Charlie and let Dr. Mom live; Dr. Mom’s story line had potential. Ah well…
Thank you for the Dharma shout out, thought the same thing when I saw Juliet, did I say Juliet, I meant Rachel with the Dharma illustration. Wonder who her constant is in this show? Probably not Miles.

Dr. Mom was my fave character, her an Aaron the only reason why I was still watching this boring crap. She is dead, so I am out.

unfortunately, i think charlie is supposed to be the emotional heart of this story. however, i think she is the least compelling character and one of the weakest actors in the show. i love aaron and miles, and like dr. mom ok. i think this show is beyond silly, but there’s enough interest in the flashbacks for me to stay tuned. and i could watch miles sword fight every episode (at least they’re getting their money’s worth from all those sword fighting lessons!).

    thanks for recapping

Chicken Man is the only reason I’m still watching.
