Revolution Recap: Sex and Drugs and Sword Fights

Back in the NOW, Miles is with Nora. A Doctor is working on Nora- who is in spetic shock.  The doctor tells Miles they have been making homegrown penicillin. Nora needs a blood transfusion, and coincidentally, miraculously, Miles is Type O, the universal donor. Miles lies down on the table next to Nora and holds her hand as his blood runs into her body.

I know this might seem like an odd time for me to make my move…

In Charlie’s room, there are a couple of whores filling a bathtub for Charlie.

Amazing how polyester lingerie holds up so well 15 years later

Charlie climbs into the bath and thinks back on all of the people who have ditched her.

Calgon, take me away.

Her Mom, Ben biting the dust, Dr. Mom taking a dirt nap, Danny’s train pulling away. Charlie is, like, a 4 time loser. She gets out of the tub, goes to her backpack, takes out her lunchbox, removes her post card collection and tears them to pieces. (On a side note, my sister had a jelly collection. I ate it, one day, while she was at school.)

Back in Philly, Nate/Jason comes into Monroe’s office, Neville is there with him. Monroe compliments Nate/Jason on his “report.” Neville indicates he found it a little “light” particularly on the part where he was being held by the rebels, including “that pretty Matheson girl.” Nate/Jason replies “It is complete sir.” He has mentioned Nora in his report. Monroe thinks she and Miles make quite a pair. He asks Neville and Nate/Jason if they have seen the Amulet? Monroe thinks Nora may have one.

Nate/Jason tells Monroe that it’s “the fat guy” who has the Amulet. Neville is going to send Strausser to see if he can track down the Amulet.

Nora is in recovery, but only has a 50/50 shot. Miles says they need to leave to go after Danny. Miles thanks Drexel for his help. Drexel asks if Miles ever told Aaron and Charlie how they know each other? When Miles as the General of the Militia he would order men in front of the firing squad as easily as another might order a beer. And Drexel loved him for it. Miles was Drexel’s guy!! Miles helped Drexel eliminate his competition and in return Drexel lined Mile’s war chest with gold. Then he deserted the militia, and because Drexel was “Team Miles,” he was considered tainted, and was treated like a scumbag traitor too. So Miles owes Drexel for many, many things.

There is an Irish family up the road- the O’Hallorans. They torched his poppy fields. They have a problem with heroin. Miles ask why Drexel doesn’t just take them out? Drexel explains it is harder than one might think. Miles tells Drexel he will “take care of the O’Hallorans” but then they are even. Drexel thanks Miles, but declines. He wants Charlie to do it. Miles is like… No way, Jose. Drexel explains she can get in to the O’Halloran compound, but Miles can’t. Drexel tells Miles that Charlie will do it, otherwise he will start by smothering “Latina Barbie” then he will smother the rest of them one by one. Charlie pipes up that she will do it and Miles is like… WTF?!?!?

I loved the recap, MisRed and am especially glad that Sandy only took your power. It could have been so much worse for you! Still don’t like Charlie but I like the others in the cast (well Danny, not so much, either…) It will be interesting, though, to see his reaction to his mother being free to move about enemy territory.
